4 Chapter 4

"What's this?" Rax looks at his left arm, with a strange mark on it.

"I will be able to teleport to you when it's important." Rex explained, "Hehe, my gene is more powerful than you think."

Rax sighed as he walked in the streets, patrolling in the area Rex pointed out as suspicious.

It's been a few days since they rescued Rey, and Rex trusting Rax.

With Rex help, they speed up the time in Rax shadow. So right now, Rey is still living in Rax shadow as she can provide support anytime.

But Rax doesn't like it, because…

"Commander Rey to captain Rax, you still there?" Rey is just playing around. She is able to break free of the mind control, and remove the tracker on her in the shadow. She is unable to see what is happening of the shadow, so she usually talk to Rax on the communicator. She can talk to Rax mind with Rex help in putting a chip on all three of them. But it's only for emergency and one time use till Rex put in again.

The communicator allowed the message to be send through anything. But the more tough the jammer, the more distorted the message will be when the receiver received it.

"Shut up.." Rax almost yell, but he is in public space now so he held it in.

"Boring… can you make the space bigger?"

"That's the biggest I can make without using my energy to maintain it. Just shut up and store your energy or something."

"Fine.."

'Finally.' Rax thought, as he turned the corner. He quickly closed his eyes as a bright light shone.

"Food!" He heard, and on instinct he jumped away. He heard a loud crash and open his eyes to see someone breaking the ground. He also saw a white line on his back shining.

'That line.' He remembered someone eating his sister flesh when he was almost unconscious.

"Yummy gene." He still remembered that voice.

'I didn't kill all of them.'

"Oh, I thought that would get you to use your gene." He heard a woman voice, as he quickly took out a gun from his storage space. "You unlocked that far? Surprising."

Rax said nothing as he shot towards the man, the man look up and a grey line on his right arm shone. He swing his arm and a strong wind blew, making the bullet shoot back towards Rax.

Rax was still in midair, he can't dodge it. As the bullet was in his view, he turn his gun and shot down. Making him turn and dodge the bullet. He landed on his knees and reloaded his gun.

"Oho." The woman sounded surprised.

"Tch." Rax scanned around and saw no one is around. He didn't take much damage due to his baggy pants which absorb the force.

He look at the woman and the man.

The woman is wearing what seem like a suit of armor, with her helmet removed.

The woman is wearing a brown hat, her black hair let lose, and her jet black eyes staring back. The man has long white hair, and only wearing a dark brown short. He's dark grey eyes not looking back at Rax eyes.

"Go." The woman said, as the man leap forward like an animal hunting his prey.

"Bastard." He said, shadow escaping from his shirt and wrapped around his arm, but he realised it's not forming a sword. It instead pin him down instead.

"Your control over your gene is quite shitty." The woman laughed, as claws grew from the man hand. Slashing apart Rax coat.

"He's coat was powerful." He said, looking at the blood sipping from his claws. "My bone broke and damaged my veins."

"Well, I will take half his gene. You can eat the rest." She said, walking in.

"No, he is my prey." He gave a low growl. "I am stronger than you, I get to eat first."

"You follow the rules of the jungle too much. You ain't an animal." She complained.

Rax gave a low chuckle, which caught the two attention.

"Underestimating us, that's your mistake." Rax eyes glowed yellow, and his shadow pushed him off the ground and a blade form on his arm.

"Shit." She said, going to jump away but realised her suit doesn't work. "What?" Before she could say anything, she saw everything upside down.

"Now, we will give you a choice." Rax blade touched the man neck, as the man smirk froze.

"Follow us, to free or kill the rest." He glance and saw a young woman wiping her bloody arm.

"Or die now." He turn and felt fear. Rex stood there, arm crossed. They are in his digital room.

Rex rushed as fast as possible realising he can't contact Rax, and noticed a tech blocking the communication.

Since it's a tech, he hack it and saw Rax falling on his knees. Without hesitation he formed a digital world, and saw Rax released Rey silently.

The three of them noticed each other and focus on the moment to attack.

When the woman stepped closer to Rax, Rex shut down her suit when she was talking to the man. Rex found both of their information and signal to Rey. Kill the woman.

When Rax gave the signal, the both strike.

Rey killed the woman, and Rax threaten the man.

"Tracy Sara. Willingly work for them." Rex said, reading the information he had, "Rock Shield. You were kidnaped, and force to work for them. The only time you get to go out is when you are assigned a mission. You always kill your target before they can react. Thus you blind Rax when you attack. You eat their genes, to not let them be misused."

"If you work with us, we will save the innocent. And kill the guilty." Rax said, as he look at Rock.

"They forgotten our names, we are only numbers to them." He's eyes look at them, as he stopped smiling, "I swore revenge, but unable to escape from their grasp. Now, a chance presented, how can I not take it?"

"You are not as crazy as I thought." Rax said, removing his blade.

"A necessary act to make them think they broke me." He look at Rax, "Your sister, I could feel her will that wants you alive. So I left you alone. I also wanted to have a weapon from the outside, but I was unable to tell you that."

"Is hard to trust an enemy. But now, we have to go. The three of you, I will hide you in my shadow."

"I will collect her gene first." He said, placing a hand over her body. A light shone from his hands, and covered the whole body. "I will destroy the body now." The light is replaced by extreme heat, as the three stood away.

It melted the body, along with the ground. He put his hand on the ground and a brown line from his chest shone, earth covered it and make it look like nothing happened.

"Cut one of my arm off." He look at Rax, who hesitated. "I can regrow it."

Hearing that, he cut off one of Rock's arm.

"I have a gene that allows me to explode my blood, so I can make it look like I exploded myself when my arm got cut off."

"Is scary how you can still maintain your sanity." Rey said, as Rock laughed.

"I lost my sanity, but not my goal. Till my goal is complete, I will follow you three." He stood up, "The there's people stronger than me, despite their number ranking low. You three need all the help you can get."

"How strong are we talking about?" Rex asked.

"Strong enough to represent one army of a thousand."

"That's scary…" Rey body shakes.

"Enough time is wasted, let's go." Rax said, as he covered the three in his shadow. Rex undo his digital world, and Rax travelled in the shadow.
