This is a work of fiction. This story has no relation to any real people or event. If there are similarities of the story and the characters, is not on purpose.

Setting on the first year of Showa Era (1926), one of the modern eras in Japan.

The story of Ayakashi (Supernatural Animal) was popular in the Heian period (794 AD - 1185) in Japan until the beginning of the first modern era in Japan, after the end of the the Tokugawa shogunate which began in Meiji Era (1867-1912).

However, during the Showa Era (1926-1989), when modernization is growing fast in Japan, folktales stories start to faded from society.

This story is only a part of folktales from the corner of certain downtown area.
