3 Chapter 2: A year long memory
It has been 4 hours since the guy who's chained awake...
"I am stuck here without any food or water, I don't wanna die like this", the guy groaned. He looks at the lantern wondering why isn't the lantern going out. "Say, who am I and why am I here", he thought to himself.
Suddenly, he remembers something that he can't describe. "I can use this", he thought as he raised his index finger, sparks began to appear and form as a tiny shape of a star at the tip of his finger. "Alpha, Remembrance", he shouted after the sparks formed. Suddenly, memories flashed back on him.
This occurred back a year ago, this dates back in a town with an average population, it had been decades since Clonkiers discovered electricity, Plaguises created the cure for that disease and Soceniers saved the planet from the meteorite, yet I, A Normener, here ordering a coffee in a local cafe. "Mister Audin, your coffee is here", the waiter said to the guy. "Oh sorry", the guy who named 'Audin' responded. As he took a sip from the coffee cup, he heard two girls talking. "Hey, have you heard about the rumors?", the girl said to the other girl. "Eh, what's about the rumors'', the other girl replied."Recently, a few people have gone missing but no one knows how they went missing", the girl answered. "How did they go missing from nowhere", the other girl asked. "A witness said that when it was night, they saw a person going into the light and then..", the girl answered. "And then, what happened?!", the other girl curiously asked. "And then the person vanished into the light!", the girl answered. "Wow, that's disturbing, who knew we should be afraid of the light that kidnaps us", the other girl jokingly said to the girl. "I know, right?", the girl answered while laughing. "Anyways, we should go since it's almost dark", the other girl said to the girl. The girl nodded while she called the waiter for a bill. Wow, the light that kidnaps you? I hope it's just another urban legend", Audin thought to himself.
The time passed as Audin did nothing. "Sir, we are about to close, can you leave?", the waiter asked Audin. Audin looked at the clock and realized that it's already 9 pm. "Well, sorry about that, here's the cash", Audin said to the waiter as he reached for his wallet. He began to leave the cafe after paying the bill and walked to his home. While he's on his way to his house, he sees something. "T-the light beam", he said to himself. The light beam seemed to hear his voice and approached his way. He tried to run but he was tripped by a rockbug; ( a bug with a hard shell that seems like a rock, it usually protects from predators by going into the shell), and fell. "No, stay away!", Audin shouted to the light. But no avail, the light got him.
Audin woke up while breathing heavily. "I thought this was a year-long memory, yet why can't I remember more?!" he told himself. Suddenly, the door he didn't know was there opened and a dark figure appeared. It threw a gauntlet to Audin and said "I believe it belongs to you, Audin". The dark figure stepped forward revealing Francis. "Or should I say, Audinous Cuskion"...
Termino, a soul taker approaches the dark figure who was sitting on the throne. "Termino, the little one, go to the mortals' land and tag along with the possessor of the gauntlet and gather a wicked soul, I shall grant you the shadow cape to protect yourself and the possessor from the great dangers", the voice peered. "I won't disappoint you, the great lord", Termino answered and then disappeared, leaving black particles…
