Chapter 2: Gardener
MC POV:
I was an ordinary male who has lived in the country of Singapore for my whole life. My father is from America while my mother is half Japanese and half Indian? I am not sure as that was what she told me when I was a child. You may ask, why are you in this country then? Well, it is mostly because my father was in this country for his business and work.
My father and mother are nice parents as they take care of me. Although I only see my father once a week, he is still a good father. However, this peaceful family changed when I was 10 years old. My mother died from an illness.
She was always weak and fragile with her weak constitution. It was not until her death that I learned she was sick from an unexplainable illness. Rather than illness, it was more a special physique as this illness is not spread or infecting other people.
Those contracted by this illness will never make it past 30 years old as they will have a weak constitution. It was somewhat a miracle that she was able to live until 32 years old.
It was saddening for me when she died as she was always with me and taking care of some small plant in the garden. As she is half Japanese, we sometimes watch anime together and talk about it. Other than that, We also always like plants and the sun, in fact, my middle name which I have means "the Prince of Sun".
It seems, on the day of my birth my father and mother argue what is gonna be my name. In the end, my father and mother decide to include both of their chosen names. My first name came from my father while my middle name came from my mother, as for the last name? It came from my father's family.
But those happy memories came to an end as my mother's life disappeared from my life. My father due to his grief started to ignore me and only focused on his company to forget about his sadness. When I was 15 years old or 5 years after the death of my mother, he offered me to come back to America together with Him as he will work there from now on.
I refuse his offer as I in the end stay in Singapore and continue my high school where I am right now the second year in my high school or grade 11 for those schools with 12 grade or grade 12 for those with 13 grade.
I continued my life in my rented apartment as my family can afford it and began to do the hobby which I always have since childhood with my now deceased mother, planting. I have a little hydroponic garden in my apartment and some potted plants. Despite not being as big as our family garden before, it was adequate for my now lonely life since It is just a small hobby for me to always remember my mother.
But, still...
(George) "Why is my class a gardener?"
(George) "It's true that I really like plants even though I am living in Singapore which is quite an urban environment where it is rare for people to like plants."
(George) "But what am I supposed to do? It is not like I can defeat a monster with a plant, am I? Well let's just look at the rest of my status again"

(George) "Holy! …This is just like the Plant Vs Zombie game as I look at the plant section where I can grow a peashooter. Is this influenced by the fact that I am always taking care of my garden? Or because of my love for the early 21st-century old game Plant Vs Zombie that I and my Mom always played together when I was a child?"
(George) "Wait a minute, although there is a high chance that I can combat zombies as they are zombies exterminating plants, am I able to defeat other types of a monster too?"
(George) "As of now, I can only plant peashooters and what a pea can do to a monster or other human in the event I get attacked? In fact, using normal logic, a pea should not be able to kill zombies too!"
I was contemplating my class and my new ability that I don't realise a zombie got near me who is inside my apartment. I was just getting inside my apartment when the whole earthquake and apocalypse thing is happening which causes me to forget to close the door.
The zombie approached closer to me as he finally uttered his signature phrase, making me startled and turn to him.
(Zombie) "Braaaiiiins!"
(George) "Oh salad!!"
