Exam X

My steps hurried towards the wounded girl and in a couple of seconds, I was already in front of her.

I made a quick turn on my axis and swung my sword hard in her direction, she spun backward, dodging my attack and at the same time opening her wound further.

I quickly recomposed myself from my failure, digging my feet into the ground and proceeding to conjure a tympanum of ice that stopped the girl's feeble attempt to stand up.

—Spurt.

Blood spurted towards me as the eardrum of ice I conjured pierced dryly through the girl's stomach, who writhed in pain as she watched the ice spread like a vine across her body, imprisoning her to the ground.

Watching this scene with indifference I raised my hand that held Rose. Which I proceeded to move downward, driving it into the girl's thorax, which drowned in her blood.

With nothing else to do I fixed my gaze on Alan and Ansiel, who was fighting without presenting any more difficult than expected.

Ansiel was a little weaker than Alan who especially in his pure power and natural ability with the sword was even better than me. Ansiel kept pace while using his excellent set of steps, which were swift and light worthy of an assassin, but still maintained that characteristic strength used by swordsmen.

I took my gaze off the two of them and moved it to the doors, from which the sounds of our new opponents' rapid footsteps were coming.

In a short time, we had already been surrounded and this was due to the help of the companions of the skin-haired girl with whom Alan was fighting a short time ago, who managed to retreat to her group that had just arrived.

Everyone around us fixed their gaze on the lifeless bodies at our feet, which perhaps belonged to their leaders or friends.

"Damn you! - Said the girl who had managed to escape from Alan with a shout. - Finish them off!"

Instantly and as if she was the boss everyone present ran towards us.

Alan and Ansiel's faces turned ugly and I could only hear my heart beating strongly, not because of fear, but because of a broadcast that I just started to feel a little while ago.

Happiness and Jubilo.

"I'll take the girl."

My voice trailed off as I took a quick step towards my target.

She fixed her eyes on me and with the same intention as I ran towards me.

In her eyes reflected a single purpose, to kill me.

She swung her sword at me vertically, I quickly responded by shuffling my feet to the left with a turn that managed an attack between my hands.

-Clang!

Our swords sparked on contact, which caused us to retreat, I didn't pause my movements and in the blink of an eye, she was already attacking again.

I swung vertically towards her head, but my attack was parried with a quick lunge from her, which was followed by another swing towards me.

I blocked her attack and after that a handful more until I found the perfect moment to counterattack.

I raised my left hand quickly and conjured ice around the girl's floor, which slipped slightly.

That brief destabilization was enough for me to get rid of her with a kick that slammed into her side, sending her flying through the air.

-Faaa!

Before I could run towards her a pair of fireballs flew in my direction, I had to suppress my impulse to conjure a wall of ice to block them and instead I focused on deflecting them with the air I conjured around my sword.

The fire raised a smoke that blocked my view, the tension rose inside my body and in a couple of seconds, it was released in the form of a blast of air that flew to my left.

Where my bullet of air flew a boy was standing with his hand on his ribs from which large streams of blood were emanating.

I raised my hand and conjured up some ice that wrapped around his feet, immobilizing him and allowing me to attack him quickly and accurately.

-Spurt.

Blood spilled out as I removed Rose from inside the body of the boy who was rapidly losing all signs of life.

In the meantime, the smoke had been diffused by the surroundings leaving me to see two figures approaching vigilantly in my direction, the skin-haired woman and another man.

I tensed my body and fixed my gaze on the two boys, preparing myself for the fight to come. If there was one thing I noticed during the fight with the woman, she was my strongest opponent in the exam.

-Tap.

Footsteps echoed as the two approached me with their swords held high.

I walked backward and when one of the two entered my attack range, I swung to my left.

Our swords clashed, I stepped back a step, and before it recovered my body made a half-turn, in which I ducked slightly to dodge the girl's sword.

-Thud.

My kick sent the man flying a few meters and as he fell I somersaulted backward, used a large amount of air, and headed towards the woman.

With a swing in a parallel straight line and together with a spin, I attacked the woman.

My sword hit the handle of her sword, which she used to block my attack, but she was not able to accommodate her hand completely and had to sacrifice one of her fingers, which fell on my feet.

Her preventing concentration was not cut off despite the pain, which she ignored, forcing herself to attack me.

An unstable fireball flew from my left and her sword approached from my right.

A brief moment in which I only watched as the two attacks approached me seemed to go on forever and as it passed a simple way to resolve this crossed my mind.

-Clang!

The metal clanged as I swung my four-foot-long sword in my right hand and as I swung I grabbed the sharp blade with my hands.

The hilt was pointed towards the fireball and the blade of my sword blocked the woman's attack.

The blood that came from my hands stayed in the air as I swerved to the side, dodging the remains of the fireball and delivering a kick to the woman's chin.

I tried to follow her, but the boy got in my way and forced me to fight him.

Just seeing the face of the boy who made me lose my prey made me a little annoyed and I set out to finish him off right now.

A swing of my sword and 5 ice bullets surrounded me.

The 5 flew at the boy from all sides and I ran after him.

-Clang!

With quick movements and conjuring his fireballs he managed to save himself from my bullets, but not from my sword.

My sword ran cutting through the air and only stopped when my body crawled around the boy quickly to his left hand.

I nailed Rose to his arm and inside they conjure so many small ice spikes, they protruded from his body like a worm crawling across his skin.

-Baaang!

A bloodbath filled the field as I watched the boy's face turn to terror as he watched his body swell.

All sounds paused and I felt the gazes of those present upon me.

For Adad, it was just another death, but for everyone present, including Alan and Ansiel, it was a bucket of ice water, showing them what kind of person this boy was.

He was no longer seen as a handsome boy and instead they saw him as a demon, a demon red with blood.

They all shivered as they watched the blood drain out of his eyes as if it were water, all this not with indifference but with a big smile and above all... Happy.

-Clang!

My sword moved towards the girl, who came out of her stupor and blocked my attack.

An ice bullet destabilized her and a kick to the hip pinned her to the ground.

My sword crawled across the ground towards her neck, which was only saved by a large bullet of fire that landed on me.

Heat flooded my body as the fire consumed my sweater, which was slowly consumed halfway down where the fire was extinguished and replaced with thin flakes of ice.

With a feeling of pity, I dragged my hands over the unusable sweater and let it fall to the ground.

Now all that was left on me was the leather armor Lou had given me and a white long-sleeved shirt with blood stains and of course my belt that held Rose inside its sheath.

-Click.

A slight click echoed as I placed my hand on the hilt and in which I ran my mana, which soon began to rattle with a silver color until it formed into a lightning bolt.

-Haa...

An icy breath left my lungs as I watched the girl run towards me with all her might.

I moved my right foot forward and tightened my hand around Rose.

"Thunder."

A mutter that was drowned inside lightning escaped my mouth as my body moved like lightning towards the girl.

I blinked.

I opened my eyes which fixed on the girl's body, from which ahead began to fall and became entangled in long skin-colored hair.

I spent a little while watching it roll, isolated from anything else, my head lost in a thousand thoughts that passed so fast that I forgot them instantly.

Then, with boredom in my eyes, I watched the fight progress.

Alan looked like a speck of golden light as he fought two people at the same time, one of whom was very skilled in his swings and had his hands covered in bandages, but he seemed to be without major difficulty and was already making full use of his golden Aura.

Ansiel on the other hand was fighting with more difficulty and the wounds were already visible on his body.

He was fighting with the boy who, if I remember correctly, was called Vidn and who was quite skilled.

But despite deceiving the unsuspecting Vidn he did not do it with me, I knew it was all a facade.

He is strong, very very strong, but he seemed determined not to show his power in front of us.

A power that, of course, he didn't even mention in the game, we only knew about it when he fought a battle with Emilia, from which he could only save himself by using that power.

-Clang!

Ansiel blocked an attack with difficulty and had no choice but to retreat.

As he ran backward his eyes met mine and although there were no words he seemed to have understood my message.

Ten ice bullets flew in the direction of the two boys following him, who were obliged to stop to block or dodge them.

It was a moment, but it was long enough for Ansiel, who moved his sword to its sheath and filled it with mana with a concentrated face.

All sound faded around him and only a faint formula reached my ears as I watched him run towards his enemies.

"Waves."

There it was, the first move of the art of Graham sword art.

Waves

A soundless movement seemed to shake the entire ground, the ambient mana parted and spread the sound element to Ansiel's enemies, who stood static in place alone.

Soon both of their heads rolled on the ground without making a sound.

With a smile, I moved my gaze towards one of the doors, from which a low rattling sound escaped.

It may take me a little longer to upload chapters these days as I am correcting the first 25 chaps.

I am also taking more English classes since it seems that the English I have learned in the series and videos with subtitles are not enough.
