Chapter 12: Everyone's Score

'I still got about seven minutes left until the effect of the potions runs out. I better use this chance to finish those things.' thought Kurono.

Right now, they already reached the house where the aliens were staying.

"Hojo-san, could you check once more whether all those target are here?"

Hojo took out his radar and checked the targets location. "They are still here. There are two big dots, and twelve small dots inside."

'Two giant monster birds, and twelve middle sized monster birds? That's a lot more than the previous one.' The number didn't match the original count. This caused a frown on Kurono's forehead.

"What is it? Is there a problem?" Kishimoto saw him frowning, and asked in concern.

"Oh, it's nothing. I was thinking of going inside. But now, I changed my mind." Kurono showed a sly smile.

In the original story, Kurono entered the house, and almost got killed. He only managed to escape by causing the building to collapse.

"Let's make this building collapse. It should help us wipe away all the small fries inside."

Everyone was reminded of his solution before. After that, Kurono arranged everyone to surround the house in order to make it collapse to the ground. Everyone readied themselves with a gun in hands. Even the grandmother grandson duo also have their own gun on hands, to contribute in the attack.

With Kurono's signal, everyone tried their best to shoot several times at the base of the building, to make it collapse.

Boom!!!

The attack managed to ruin walls and the pillars of the house, causing it to crumble down. The group hurriedly distanced themselves away, in order to avoid being hit by the collapsing building.

"We did it." Numata shouted excitedly when he saw the broken house. For the first time, he feels good to cause destruction. These guns really is powerful. A group of eight to nine people could destroy a building to just by using this weapon. Is not this thing really powerful? A greedy feeling aroused in his heart.

"Wait. There are still two dots in the radar. Also, it's the big dots. These should be the leader of these aliens." Hojo warned everyone, when he saw the two dots on his radar.

"Those are the bosses of these birds. They are really resilience." Kurono already expected this to happen. The bosses is way more powerful than it's underlings.

Bang!

Right then, two gigantic figure soared out of the ruined building.

Screee!!

The two gigantic birds flew high up in the sky while looking menacingly at the people who attacked it's hideout. The two then dived down like a speeding cars.

"Aahhh! Those things are after us."

"Don't just stay standing. Run!"

As soon as Kurono spoke out, everybody dispersed to find a place to hide. They knew for sure that those giant beasts will certainly kill them.

However, their speed is a little slow compared to that speeding monster birds. Swiftly, the two beast managed to catch two people, Numata and Kishimoto.

"Ahhh aahh! Help!"

"Ahh!"

The two screamed in fear.

"Kishimoto!"

Kurono was about to go help Kishimoto, but was a little late. The bird soared high faster than he thought.

"Shit. These birds are too fast." Kurono saw that these two bird aliens can move as fast as him with the additional power from strength potion and agility potion. "Ill go help Kishimoto. Kato and Hojo-san, if you can, go and help Numata."

After that Kurono hurriedly run after the one who caught Kishimoto. While he is running, he shouted out, "Kishimoto, If you can, try to grab and pull away that air filter on the mouth of that bird."

Hearing him, Kishimoto who was being squeezed by the giant bird quickly looked up, and saw a small pipe was on the mouth of the alien. She tried her best to reach out her hand. Her suit gave her the strength, and she successfully grabbed the air filter. After that, she pulled down the pipe.

The instant the pipe was pulled, some smokes comes out of the exposed hole at the end of the pipe. This caused the bird to start suffocating from air poisoning. It's claws were opened and let go off Kishimoto.

"Shoot it!" reminded Kurono from the ground.

Kishimoto took out her gun and shot the dropping down bird.

Bam!

It didn't take long before the bird exploded into pieces. Kurono jumped up and caught the dropping Kishimoto.

"That's one down. This left us with only one target. Let's go, assist the others." Kurono and Kishimoto headed towards the other direction, where the other giant bird flew with Numata on it's claws.

At this side, Numata was being carried away by the monster. It pecked on Numata's head, and instantly broke his head. After that, the bird threw his body to the side.

Seeing this, Kato and Hojo stopped in their track.

"With our suit,will we be able to resist the attack from that thing?" Hojo asked while looking warily at the beast in the sky.

"I'm not...sure. I guess...we can hold out for some minutes." replied Kato.

"I see." Hojo nodded. "I will go become the bait. If that thing try to grab me, you go and decapitate it's wing. That way, we will have the chance to take it down."

Kato looked at Hojo with a surprised expression. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Screee!!!

The bird didn't let them have much of choices to pick, as it dived down once more.

"No time to choose. Just go on with the plan." Hojo pushed Kato a little bit to the front, and as expected the bird grabbed him. As soon as the bird took a hold on him, it flapped it's wings and was about to flew upward.

"Grab it!"

Kato's movement happened at the same time Hojo yelled. He grabbed onto the right wing of the monster birds, and pulled it down.

The sudden pull caused the bird to stagger to the side, and release Hojo. Hojo took this moment to jump and grab on the left wing.

Kriiii!!

Seeing that it's wings were restrained, the bird released a cry which formed a sound waves attack.

"Ah! This guy is attacking with sound wave." Hojo almost let go off his hands, when he got disturbed by the sounds.

"Just hold on. The others should be on their way to here." Kato was also trying to resist thr sounds attack, while pulling the wing.

The bird tried it's best to shake the two off of it's wings, but the two hold onto it tightly, and tried their best to pull the wings to the opposite direction from each other.

Swish!

A laser rope was shot out from the distance and tied the alien. After that, another shot was delivered to send out the bird.

"Oh, it's you Nishi." Kato looked, and saw the one who sent out the bird.

"No need to thank me." Nishi just turned away, looking at Kurono and Kishimoto who are walking towards their direction.

"What happened to the other guy?"

"No worries. That guy is no longer here." Kurono didn't elaborate, but his meaning was clear that they already settled the other alien.

"That's mean, we are finish with the tasks."

"Yeah. It's time to head home."

It was as thet said. Not long later, they one by one got teleported back to the Gantz Room. However, some of them are already dead and no longer returned.

"So, out of twelve people, only the eight of us left huh."

"There is still the dog."

"That guy miraculously survived."

"It's what people call a dog's luck."

"Oh, Gantz is scoring us now."

"What is Gantz scoring us for?" Hojo asked curiously.

Once more, everyone looked at Nishi and Kurono. Kurono looked at Nishi, and then looked at everyone. He said, "If we could get 100 score there should be an option for us to quit this Gantz mission.

Just wait. If I remember correctly, Nishi here already collected up to 87 points. If he could collect up to 13 points this time, then he is already reached 100 points. We should be able to know the answers from his score."

Everyone stopped asking, and just waited patiently for the scoring.

"Well, you did get a good score. 23 pts, that's awesome." Kurono was surprised as he looked at the score. If he was not mistaken, the Tanaka Alien is scored at 5 pts, and the boss is scored at 8 pts.

Kishimoto killed a boss, and participated in the obliteration of the house that killed twelve Tanaka Aliens. So, did she get 15 score fr that group attack?

"One, two... I'm confused on how the Gantz scored us." Kishimoto tried to calculate her score base on her successful killing. However, there seems to be a problem in the scoring.

"Just wait for everyone else to get their respective score."

"Earlier, I sent out one. After that, we attacked the house together. So, I don't know how many was deemed died in my hands." Kato counted his hunt, and he was sure that he only managed to get two to three Tanaka Aliens. In that case, it is almost likely that he got 5 points for each successfully hunted Tanaka Aliens.

Kishimoto giggled when she saw Kurono backing away. "You don't need to back away, just because he is gay."

"Absolutely not. You know this ball is making fun of us. Or do you think these nickname really represent us?"

"No. Definitely not!" Hojo absolutely wanted to deny the nickname, especially his.
