11 Chapter 11: Past Gantz Fighter

"Hey, what are you all doing?"

Everyone looked at another direction, and saw one of the Zoku group came back. He was looking pale.

"Why did you guys not tell us?"

"Huh!? Tell what?"

"Why didn't you all tell us that we will die if we head back home?"

Hojo and the others was stunned. He himself asked for confirmation, "What happen to your two friends?"

"Don't you know already? Tet-chan and Nishikawa got blown up after we walked some distance away."

So, out of all four Zoku members, only Haruya Numata was left. His situation is also not looking good as he didn't wear any Gantz suits.

Hojo and the grandmother grandson duo looked at Kurono. It seems like what he said before are all true. Now, they completely abandoned the notion of going back home, and decided to complete whatever mission was given to them.

Kato looked at Numata and said, "We already defeated those Tanaka Aliens. We should be getting transported back to that room with a black ball."

"Really?"

"I think so. We might be starting to get teleported a few minutes later."

...

A few minutes later.

"How are we still not gotten teleported away?"

"There might be other Tanaka Aliens. Like last time, when the intended target was defeated, another more powerful alien comes out." Kurono spoke out his opinion.

"So, how do we know the whereabout of those guys?"

"Anyone with a radar can pinpoint the location of the target." Nishi suggested. He then showed his broken radar. "My suit are already busted, together with my radar."

"Anyone else with a radar?" Kato asked.

Numata put his hand into his pocket and felt the radar inside. However, he was unwilling to show the others his radar.

"I got one." Hojo took out his radar that identical to the one on Nishi's hand.

They then checked their target. In the radar, they saw two big dot some distance away, with twelve smaller dots scattered around the two. Ten other smaller dots appeared within their vicinity.

"So, we got twenty two more to hunt."

"What? that many? How are we gonna beat those guys?"

"How much time do we have?"

"It says we have less than one hour."

"That's too short. Can we even hunt these guys down?"

"Wait, those twelve smaller dots is near our place. Are they attacking us?"

Everyone broke into a noisy chatter. They didn't realize that many small birds are staring at them. These small birds act like a CCTV, looking intensely at Kurono and the guys.

Before everyone could head out to search for the target, more than five Tanaka Aliens appeared.

"Ahh! They are over there." Ryota cried in fright. He pointed at a group of six Tanaka Aliens at one direction. Seeing those three, Kurono's and the others' expression changed. This is many more than the two previous Tanaka Aliens.

"This is bad. We got company on this side too." On the opposite direction, another group of four Tanaka Aliens are fast approaching them.

"Upward! Look up!"

From the sky, there are three Tanaka Aliens flying and descending towards the Gantz fighters location. Everyone was momentarily froze in shock when they saw these troops of alien.

"RUN!! Go towards that direction!" Kurono didn't want to delay, and shouted a warning to everyone. Kato and the rest were woken up by that shout and hurriedly followed towards the direction Kurono pointed.

As everyone swiftly run away, Kurono looked back and saw the enemy are still chasing after them very quickly. He then decided to stayed at the back and hold the aliens.

"Hey! Kurono, why are you stopping? Quickly, run." Kishimoto cried in alarm when she saw Kurono stayed at the back.

"You all go first. I will try to hold them down for a moment. No worries, I know what I'm doing."

Kishimoto hesitated.

"Just go! It would be hard for me to run away if you stayed." Kurono urged her without looking at the girl. Right now his focus was almost entirely on the fast approaching enemy.

"...I will wait for you. You must make sure to run after us." Kishimoto finally complied. She followed the others.

"Should we back him up?" asked Hojo, glancing at Kurono at the back.

"He said he will only hold them. I'm sure he have his way. I believe in Kei-chan." Kato hesitated for a moment. However, he still decided to brought everyone else towards a safe hideout. I'll go back and assist him after everyone is safe, thought the tall guy.

Kurono didn't have time to think about the others. He was thinking of ways for him to beat these dangerous alien.

"Although my suit can help enhance my physical abilities, these guys are physically more powerful than us human normally. I need to have more strength and power if I wanted to defeat them."

At this critical time, Rose come out.

"Ah, hei Rose. Do you have a good solution to fight against these guys?"

<Host, are you dumb?>

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

<Don't you have some System points? Just go and buy those strength and agility potions. It will be easy as eating cake to fight these ants.>

"Ah, I forget." Kurono suddenly remembered his SP and the System Market. However, he felt that it was a waste to use those points.

Kurono stopped hesitating. He bought one potion of strength, and one potion of agility. After that, he hurriedly consumed both potions.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

In the blink of an eye, Kurono felt his body was full of energy, and his perception become faster. "This feeling is really comfortable. I can feel that I'm a few times more powerful than the me a second ago."

Even the Gantz suit is fully activated to accommodate the newfound power in Kurono's body. As he looked at the approaching troops of Tanaka Aliens, he almost wanted to sneer at them, disdainfully. "What the heck, these guys are moving very slowly."

<Oh, so you are now being cocky, huh. Let me tell you something. Those potion has a time limit of thirty minutes. You better start moving out.>

"Is that's so? Well, thirty minutes is just enough for me."

Kurono arrogantly smiled and strode towards the group of ten Tanaka Aliens.

"It's already pass fifteen minutes. Why is Kurono still not here?" Kishimoto was so worried that she could not stay in place.

"Maybe, he already got killed." said the last Zoku member, Numata. He was hoping that Kurono really died.

"Shut up. Kei-chan is more capable than what you think he is." Kato scolded the guy.

"He might be in trouble right now. Those aliens are very agile, and can attack using sound waves. Those attacks are hard to avoid." Nishi on the side commented. Although he didn't show it, he still felt uncomfortable abandoning Kurono, who was the first to go and help him.

"I'm going back." Kishimoto decided to look for Kurono.

"I will go too." Kato also decided to check on Kurono. He still felt some guilt for causing Kurono to be brought to this dangerous place.

"Hey, why do you guys wanted to go back?" At this time, Kurono approached the group.

"Kurono!"

"Kei-chan!"

Both Kato and Kishimoto were surprised, but feel relieved when they saw him appear.

"Are you okay? Did you got injured anyway?" Kishimoto hurriedly checked for any injuries on his body.

"I'm fine." Kurono hold out his hands, showing that he really is fine.

"What happened to those aliens?"

"Well, I killed them all." answered Kurono, with a smirk on his face.

"What? You killed them all? That's impossible!" Numata looked at Kurono disdainfully. There a many enemy back there. That's plain impossible for Kurono to defeat them all.

"Well, I already told you. You believe or not is not my concern."

"How did you do that?"

"Thatt easy. I lured them into a building, and made the building collapse on them. That's all." Kurono simply told them a lie. On the other hand, what he said was also a very possible solution if he ever face a gang attack.

"He is lying, right?" Numata still couldn't believe that Kurono managed to kill those things.

"Well, whatever." Kurono was lazy to argue. He then thought of something, and said, "We still need to go and hunt the rest of them."

"Do we really need to hunt them?"

"How about we just wait until the end of the time limit?" at this time, Kishimoto spoke out her suggestion.

Everyone else also thought of this and contemplated the option. As if trying to find assurance, everyone looked at the people who knows more about Gantz.

Kato and Kishimoto looked at Nishi, while the rest looked at Kurono. Kurono was surprised that all those first timers in Gantz were looking at him for some answers.

"I never encountered a situation where there are too many aliens. So, all of them got killed before the time was up." Nishi just spoke out his past experience. He then looked at Kurono. Listening from everyone, he heard that Kurono somehow have knowledge regarding the Gantz. Is he a past participants of Gantz?

"Actually, it is bad if we don't kill those guy within the time limit." Kurono could not ignore everyone, and found himself answering their questioning gaze. "If we just let them be, these aliens will follow us back to the real world. At that time, they will not just try to kill us, they will also kill whoever they found related to us."

"What?"

Now, everyone were alarmed.

"Is that true?"

"Kei-chan, are you sure about this?"

"Yeah. Also, I have the feeling that I already experienced a similar situation before." Kurono added more lie to make his reasoning more believable.

So, he really is a past Gantz fighter! In that case, he has a higher chance to complete these Gantz trial! Nishi was now sure that Kurono was someone who managed to get 100 points, and gained his freedom from Gantz.

As for the other guys, they looked at Kurono curiously, as if they just saw a mysterious items. This guy is too mysterious. Did he really participated in the Gantz before?

"If what you said it true, then we really need to find and hunt those aliens." Kato was the first to decide. He didn't like the idea of aliens following him to the real world. He got a little brother. So, he wanted to prevent anything dangerous to befalls on his little brother.

"How much time more do we have?" Kurono asked Hojo, who has the radar, which also have a timer on it.

"We only have around ten minutes." Hojo looked at the radar. "Also, our hiding place is just happened to be close by to the place where the rest of the target are staying."

"That's fortunate." Kurono was delighted. "Before we go to hunt those guys, I want you all to know the weakness of these aliens.

These Tanaka Aliens is actually a monster birds that disguised themselves inside a humanoid skin. Their biggest weakness are on their head. These monster birds breath the air through the humanoid skull, or through some other form of air filter.

Once you cracks those humanoid head, or remove their air filters, they will be forced to breath the air in this world. For them, these air is poisonous to them. Therefore, they will eventually die if they are exposed out."

Everyone listened attentively, and tried to form their own strategy according to the information given. Kato showed a great admiration at Kurono. As expected of Kei-chan. He is not just capable, he is also knowledgeable regarding the aliens world.

"Then, let's decide on the attacking team." Kurono looked at everyone and focused on the people who he felt more capable of fighting against the rest of the aliens. "Kato, Hojo, and me have a better strength and agility to fight in the front. Kishimoto and 'Sadako'..., I guess you two will be able to assist us from the back. Grandma will need to look after Ryota, and Nishi's suits is no longer working out. As for you, Zoku three..."

"It's Numata. Haruya Numata."

"Numata, huh. You are not wearing your suit. So, it will be wise for you to stay away from those alien."

"Do you think I'm afraid of those things? Don't try to just brush me out." Numata was annoyed that he was being ignored. He decided to stick to these people to the end.

"Well, it's up to you. Let's go."
