To be honest, losing his hearing had been a bit of knock to Gio's confidence. Some things he had been able to admit freely to himself. Things like how losing one of his senses'd had his paranoia go up.
Never really relaxing because he had no idea if he had missed a sound, or a verbal warning that he would have been able to pick up otherwise. It was getting better now. Gio had come to realize that what other people said about the other senses becoming enhanced when one of them was no longer active was absolutely true.
He was more sensitive to vibrations, and he could almost always tell when someone was behind him because he could feel the way the air shifted. And while all that was well and good, there was another factor that his hearing loss had affected that Gio had been actively ignoring… Sex.
