Chapter 17: Starting New Training I

Year 284 a.C

(Lancel POV)

 The weather has been good these days, but arriving at Dragonstone it suddenly got worse, then I remember that Daenerys is born in early 284 a.C. when there is a storm on the island

 From afar you could see a warship docked at the port being shaken by the storm, our ship suffered strong shakes, but in fact, as the captain says, it can withstand a storm

When we docked at the port, guards came to stop us and investigate us, I told the captain not to go down and wait for me. Then I went out to meet the guards

Guard "Who are you boy?" the guard tells me with one hand on his sheathed sword

Lancel "I seek a meeting with Prince Viserys Targaryen, I come by order of my Lord" I tell the guard

Guard "Who is your Lord?" question suspiciously

Lancel "I will only tell the Prince" I said without answering any more questions, the guard sent a messenger with the Prince. After a while he called me to his presence in the castle

Upon entering, Viserys was staring off into space and had a sad and melancholy look on his face; I looked at him sitting in the seat of the Lord of Dragonstone and at his side Ser Willem Darry, the only loyal guard left on this island.

Viserys "Who are you, and which Lord sent you?" He says lowering his eyes and looking me in the eye

Lancel "I am Lancel Dayne, and I come by order of Lord Oberyn Martell" I answer

Viserys "Why don't you show your allegiance and bow down to me?" he says angrily

Lancel "Because there is no longer a Targaryen King sitting on the throne" I say to a standing and looking into his eyes

Viserys "Do you want me to kill you?" he asks with a frown and a red face with anger

Lancel "I have only come to give you these 100 gold coins, so that you stay alive and comfortable in Braavos" I tell him handing over the bag that I had on my back

Viserys "Why would I escape to Braavos?" question in a derogatory tone

Lancel "The guards you have will not protect you when Stannis Baratheon arrives" I tell him and I notice a look of fear

System "New mission: 1) Fight off Stannis Baratheon's assault, 2) Help Stannis Baratheon take Dragonstone, 3) Help the royal family of House Targaryen escape"

Launch "Option 3" I say at the moment and without thinking

Lancel "You have to sneak out of here, I have a fleet waiting at the dock, get ready to set sail" I tell him when the system warns me of the new mission, since I already had an escape plan for the Targaryen brothers

Viserys "Ser Willem, what do we do?" he asks the gentleman next to him

Ser Willem "Let's go with him along with his sister" he tells the Prince with confidence

Viserys "Do you believe him?" he anxious question

Ser Willem "If it is Ser Arthur's family I will believe him" he says with a bow to the Prince

Viserys "Go for my sister, and we will sail to Braavos in this child's fleet" he tells Ser Willem

Lancel "Look for black capes and sneak out with me" I tell them waiting for them

Seeing Ser Willem holding a baby, I know it is Daenerys of the storm, then I tell them to send their guards to meet in the living room while they sneak out, when we reach the port we get on board and leave for Braavos

On the ship I walk towards the baby and ask Ser Willem if he allows me to carry her, he looks at Viserys for his permission.

Viserys "Go ahead" says allowing Ser Willem to let me hold the baby.

Lancel "System places a permanent mark on her" I say touching his neck with my palm

Lancel "Viserys, don't hit this girl, and rest assured that I will make you King of the Westeros, but if you hurt her I will kill you" I tell him looking into his eyes

Viserys looks at me surprised by what I said, as well as the promise I gave him to make him King of Westeros.

Viserys "How long will it take you to keep your word?" he says looking at me

Lancel "In the future, before the Eternal Winter you will be King of the Westeros" I say, then I put the baby in the arms of Prince Viserys and climb to the edge of the ship

Lancel "See you in a few years, I have things to do before we meet in Braavos, don't trust who you'll see in Braavos, or their promises." I say jumping into the sea

The next moment I ask the system to transport me to my sister Lisa's location.

(third person POV)

 Lisa was training when suddenly she feels something hard hit and looks down at her brother holding his head with two hands and teary eyes

A shocked Lisa looks at her brother's swelling from the blow of the sword, then sighs in relief that she decided to use the wooden sword today.

Lisa "Brother, that was dangerous" she says scolding her brother for suddenly appearing in front of her

Lancel "That hurt" he says sighing and still rubbing his head

Lisa "But you kept your promise to return in a year" says happily hugging her brother

Lancel "I keep what I promise" he says with a hand on his heart

Lisa "Hahaha, but you already took a hit for being a little late" she says laughing seeing her brother with tears running down his cheeks

Lancel "When my parents come, we will ask permission to go to Lord Dayne's castle, we will have a Master to teach us both" he says remembering who is going to train him

Lisa "Yes" says happily taking the wooden sword and cutting the air, seeing this Lancel quickly moves away from his sister

In the evening, gathered in the family dining room after dinner, Lancel asks his parents permission to let them go to Lord Dayne's castle to meet their new master and let his sister learn along with him.

Mary "Why?" asks seeing Lisa who is excited

Lancel "So that she can protect herself when she gets married" he says laughing

Robert "Let her go too" he says looking up

Mary "Fine" says looking at Robert who looks away nervously

The next morning they show up at the castle in search of their Master Ser Arthur Dayne

Lord Dayne receives them in the hall and sends for Ser Arthur Dayne, who has recovered from his injuries.

Lord Dayne "Brother, this is your apprentice" he says pointing to Lancel

Lancel "Good morning Ser Arthur" he says with a sparkle in his eyes

Ser Arthur "Good ones, boy," he says upon seeing the boy who brought him to Starfall from the Tower of Joy.

Ser Arthur "We are going to train in the garden" he says saying goodbye to his brother, and the brothers follow him towards the gardens
