Another slime died at Jack's hand filling his XP pool.
" I'm really getting good at this.
This is the third slime already and I haven't warmed up yet. With this pace of killing a slime every five minutes I'll level up in just ten minutes tops.
*Click click*
The kusari-fundo in his hand clicked as he moved ahead towards his next victim.

"Here comes the fourth one.
Heh, they are so stupid coming to their deaths willingly, but I've no problem with that."
The kusari-fundo started to spin in his hand and with each spin it raised it's striking power.
'Come to papa.'
Jack didn't move from his spot and continued to spin the chain , waiting for the slime to come in range when...
"Shit balls!"
Ten meters away from him the figure of the slime came into view and beside him..
"It's another f*cking slime!"
About a meter from the first slime there was another one of its kind . The two slimes continued to move forward slowly like an elderly couple and as they still hadn't entered the 5 meters range the hadn't shown any aggression yet.
'Shit, this got a whole lot more difficult. I can easily handle a slime with my current tactic , but two of them are a different story.'
Jack was in a dilemma. He knew that he could easily defeat a slime , but he hadn't ever fought two at once.

' The situation is not ideal , but I somewhat expect for something like this to happen.It seems it's time to move to plan B.'
The kusari-fundo still continued to spin and as he didn't move from his spot, like a hunter waiting for his prey to come over him. The two slimes got closer and closer until the first one got into the five meter distance and rushed towards him.
'Time to test my skill on you.'
A warm current moved inside his body and he felt like the chain got lighter and his hand eye coordination higher. His body seemed to move on his own as the weighted end of the kusari-fundo flew like a bullet.
"Shoot."

The kusari-fundos weighted end hit the slime like it had hit the other slimes before it , but from the sound alone you could understand that this time it did a lot more damage. That and the dent that the kusari-fundo left on the slime was 1/2 times bigger.
'Now it's time to run.
Initiating plan 'B'.'
As soon as he hit the slime and at the same time the other slime came into the 5 meter attack radius, he turned around and ran with all his strength. He didn't even collect his chain and dragged it which made a lot of noise as he ran.

Jack stopped running after he was far away from the slimes and regained his composure.
"I think that this if far enough for now as the with the slimes normal pace it should take them a little time to catch up to me .
Also the power of the weapon is good , but retrieving the weighted end is a little problematic. I have to find a solution for this as I can't go around dragging my kusari-fundo as I flee."
'If there is more than 1 opponent then there is not going to be time to do another attack with it.
Well I choose this weapon to fight slimes and the are not fast or smart so I can simply run away and wait for them to come again.'

One of the slimes had managed to catch up to him.

"Shoot."
The slime dashed forward only to be met with a rude weighted chain to it's body.
*Bam*
The attack connected with the slime and the same as his predecessor he had stopped to recover itself.
'Stupid slime , you don't understand that this is just the start of my plan.
Here I come!'
Instead of retreating this time he rushed forward towards the still recovering slime.
' I really hope this is going to work as planned.'
*Tap..
As he approached the slime he did five quick steps and at the last step he pulled his leg back as far back as he could and gave the still recovering slime a kick with all his strength.
*Bam*
As the slime was kicked with all his strength, it moved backwards for about 30 cm and the dent on it's body became bigger.

The slime moved backwards again.

He collected his kusari-fundos weighted end and started to spin it slowly, waiting for the other slime to come and as he expected not long after the other slime came into view.

He opened his inventory and received from it a small bottle of water and some bread that his grandma had baked yesterday.
He chewed slowly as he recovered his strength.
'Note to self.
Even if I level up my mana doesn't recover and my physical fatigue doesn't go away.'
'I have defeated 11 slimes until now and leveled up once in the process.My next level up is still far away for now, but I'm making steady progress on it. If I kill at least 20 more slimes then I should level up for sure.'
He opened his water bottle next and gulped down its contents in two seconds.

Drinking water after exercising is so refreshing.

' Since the first time I encountered two slimes next to each other all the other encounters have been with two slimes at the same time, except for the last one where there were 3 slimes.
The last encounter was not pleasing at all because after each attack I had to retreat before attacking again to prevent me getting choocked like last time. Also I used up all my Mana as with each attack I used my 'Shoot' skill.'
He stared towards the long dark tunnel in front of him and couldn't help but feel some fear.

Until now the number of slimes has been no more than three , but who knows when that number will increase or if I will encounter more powerful slime like the enhanced one at the end of the tutorial so....
