46 Dungeon Diving

NARRATOR POV :

In a huge empty plain area, there was a huge fight going on.

The Fight was between a Humanoid Figure and a Humongous Dragon 100 times it's size.

One might think the Humanoid being was done for, as Dragons are at the Peak of Food Chain. They are the strongest Living brings in existence.

But that wasn't the case right now, as the Humanoid being was fighting with the dragon in equal footing.

The Humanoid being was covered head to toe in dark armour, with a huge axe in its hands that it was using to fight against the Dragon.

The Armoured being was none other than Albedo, The Guardian Overseer of The Great Tomb Of Nazarick.

Right now she was in a battle against a dragon as strong as her to test her battling capabilities.

NPCs are created with their powers. They didn't do anything to gain it, they were just born with it. So they might be inexperienced in using their capabilities to their full potential.

And that's why Adrian Val Radruga, the Lord Of The Great Tomb of Nazarick was training them. He wanted to make them fully familiar with their potential, so that they may never get into a bad position in a battle.

Adrian had already written in all of the NPCs background that they are a master at what they do. So in theory, the NPCs should be fully capable of fighting at their best.

But you can't just trust for everything written in their backstory to come true.

What if for some reason, they didn't actually become a master at using their own power?

What if because of this reason, the NPCs face their end one day. The spell that made them come to life and made their backstory true, might not be as powerful as it seems.

There might be various things that didn't come true. And Adrian wanted to test them out here in a safe environment, instead for them facing death in a true battle for survival.

A spell used by some unknown being cannot be trusted. Who knows what kind of limitations that spell has.

The only thing known about it till now is that it brings World Items to this World.

And if somebody is near the item, they also get summoned.

A spell that could turn computer programming into reality is definitely very powerful.

But everything has it's limits. And this spell also definitely has one. That's why Adrian tried to keep things a little simple.

Adrian could have simply collected every World Item in Yggdrasil, and make his own character have unlimited Stats. Made the Developers make custom OP Items for him. Or made an army of Overpowered NPCs so that they could do every work for him.

But could the spell turn every World Item real at the same time?

Could the Item turn a being with unlimited power into reality?

Could the spell bring an army of Overpowered NPCs to life?

Nothing is known about the spell. So it is wise to act carefully. Otherwise Adrian might not have even got the chance to go to New World at all.

Some idiot might have just made his character have unlimited stats, collect every World item, create new Overpowered custom items, create an army of NPCs.

And they would not even get the chance to go to the New World. Idiots don't think of consequences afterall. They just do things without thinking.

But fortunately Adrian had enough braincells to act carefully and not trust some unknown spell cast by some unknown being.

Though Adrian also did make a few drastic changes. He's way more powerful than Ainz. He also collected a few more world Items. He also made a few New NPCs.

What if The canon cast was the limit of the spell? Adrian might not have got to the new world. But he didn't go overboard, so he got lucky.

Anyway, back to the matter at hand. Albedo was in a fight against a Dragon in the Dungeon.

The Dragon was at a similar power level as Albedo. But there was something special about the Dragon's attacks.

The Dragon's attacks had Penetration power. The Dragon Specialized in Defence Penetration. It could easily ignore any kind of defence, and directly hit it's target.

And for Albedo, who was a Defence specialist, it was a bad match.

Albedo has the best Defence in all Of Nazarick, obviously not counting Adrian. He's a cheat character afterall.

After equipping her best equipment, Albedo is like an impenetrable moving fortress. So much defence.

And now all that was proving useless as the Dragon could ignore this level of defence very easily.

Albedo was a little cocky at the start of the battle, too Prideful of her Defence, thinking the dragon to be no match.

Her equipment was upgraded by Adrian afterall. And she's proud of anything done by Adrian.

But her Pride feeling stopped when the Dragon's attack hit her so hard she flew away while spouting blood.

After getting hit by the dragon, She got scolded by Adrian for her carelessness. Because of this, she turned serious, fully concentrating on her battle. She didn't want to embarrass herself infront of Adrian anymore.

Now she was blocking the Dragons hits with her Axe while trying to land attacks of her own on the Dragon.

While she was fighting, the other Guardians and Adrian were watching from the sidelines.

Demiurge was paying extra attention to the dragon. 'A Dragon that can fully Ignore any kind of defence. A very powerful ability. There were three Monsters species with similar abilities in Yggdrasil, but none of them were as powerful as this dragon. This Dragon would be a nice experiment material. I wonder if Lord Adrian would lend me a Dragon like this one.' Though Demiurge while observing the Dragon with a small smile.

Cocytus was also paying attention to the Dragon. 'The Dragon is very powerful. To go Against Albedo like that. I wonder if Lord Adrian would allow me to fight it.' Thought Cocytus. As always thinking about fighting.

"That dragon Looks Strong. Lord Adrian, can I have him? Please!" Said Aura while showing Adrian her puppy dog eyes.

"If you can tame one, you can have it. There are several dragons like this one in this floor. Have a try at Taming one later." Replied Adrian.

"Thanks a lot Lord Adrian. You are the best!" Aura jumped in happiness.

"Yo-you can do it Albedo.You c-can defeat that Dr-dragon." Mare cheered for Albedo in his small voice.

"How did that attack from the Dragon feel, you Gorilla? Come on Dragon, Smack that bitch a few more times. You can do it!" Shalltear cheered for the dragon instead of Albedo.

Albedo, while a little irritated by Shalltear, ignored it as she concentrated on the battle at hand. As the Dragon attacked her with it's claws once again, Albedo deflected the attack with her weapon.

She then jumped towards the dragon and used one of her best skills, {Queen of Temptation}.

A skill she got from her Succubus half. This skill can stun any enemy for 2 seconds.

While 2 seconds might seem small, in battle even a single second can change the outcome of the battle.

As the Dragon stopped moving, Albedo used one of her strongest attack skill, {Lightning severance}.

As she used her skill Lightning Gathered around her Axe and made it way deadlier.

Albedo slashed down on the Dragon's Neck with her Lightning powered Axe.

There was a huge blast in the area of impact. The Axe went through one fifth of the neck of the Dragon.

The Dragon Roared in Pain. It was Full of Pain and Anger at the moment. And it directed all of it's anger towards Albedo in the form of a Fire Roar.

Albedo was a little shocked from the outcome. She expected for the dragon to get decapitated. But It was just injured from the attack. The attack wasn't enough to bring it down.

But Albedo got out of her shock as she retreated quickly and dodged the attack.

"Is that all you got, Albedo? You couldn't even kill it with that attack, you fat Gorilla. I could have killed that little lizard in one attack." Taunted Shalltear.

"What did you say you little mosquito? If you are so strong why don't you give it a try?" Albedo taunted back.

"Then let me show you my true power you hippo. I will show you who's better." Said Shalltear as she got ready to jump into the fight.

As she was about to go, Adrian stopped her. "Okay that's enough playing around. Let Albedo fight peacefully. You will get your chance later."

"As you say, Lord Adrian." Said Shalltear as she backed up.

"And You Albedo, concentrate on your fight. Don't get distracted so easily. It might cost you your life in an actual battle where I won't be there to save you." Adrian reprimanded Albedo.

"Yes Lord Adrian. I won't get distracted anymore." Said Albedo in a little sad tone as she got back to fighting.

After another half an hour of continuous fight, Albedo finally emerged victorious.

"Well done Albedo. You did pretty good. Your way of fighting is good. But don't get distracted so easily in the future. A single moment of Distraction can prove to be disastrous for you." Said Adrian.

"Yes My Lord. I will keep that in mind." Replied Albedo.

"Now it's your turn Shalltear. You will fight a different enemy that's in another floor. Let's go." Said Adrian as they all went towards the Lift.
