23 Chapter 20 Extermination

Kagami was shocked slightly be the sudden appearance of this golden armored Servant. It was wasn't the golden radiance coming off the armor nor was it the arrogance contained within his blood red eyes. It was actually the lack of it.

'Isn't that the Fate/Prototype Gilgamesh? But his stats? They haven't changed?'.

He was using another skill that he had gained to examine this new Gilgamesh.

[True Name Discernment] [Rank D] [Level 45] [Exp 34.20%]

True Name Discernment is a Class Skill of the Ruler class where status information such as one's identity, Skills and Parameters are automatically revealed to the owner of this Skill when directly encountering a Servant. Can be leveled up.

"Ah? But I am also a King? The King who conquered the known world! Iskandar the Conqueror!".

"I am also a King. King of Knights and King of Britain!".

Rider and Saber stood before Archer and resolutely called out their titles. I who had just showed up at the docks naturally drew the attention of everyone.

I gave a mock salute and said, "It's your friendly neighborhood Caster Servant, names Kagami. Kagami Ren".

All the other Servants scrunched up their faces as if trying to remember something but Archer said, "You! The 'unique existence!' Tell me, where are you from? You do not belong on this Earth".

Raising an eyebrow I reply, "My legend hasn't happened yet. But I am a bona-fide Heroic Spirit, would you like to test me, King of Uruk?".

"Ah! So there are some who have not forgotten their King! How fantastic! Caster you and I shall-".

*Roar!*.

Drawing everyone's attention was the materialization of another Heroic Spirit at the end of the docks. It was covered in a black haze and it's armor was blurry and couldn't be seen properly, however the glowing red visor was clearly visible.

"Hmm! You cur! You dare you interrupt me!".

In the normal route, Archer would've tried to shoot Berserker and kill him, however in this one I accidentally muttered, "Oh? It's Lancelot".

Saber instantly turned to me and shouted, "What did you say! Say that again!".

"It's Lancelot. The one who-".

"I know what he did!".

Archer, Rider, Lancer and myself all stood on the cargo containers and watched the two duke it out. Berserker had used anything he could get his hands on and mutated it using his [Knight of Owner] to warp anything into a Noble Phantasm.

"How did you know that Berserker was Lancelot, Caster?".

"Skill, [True Name Discernment]. I may have the lowest stats in this Grail War, however I've got more than a few surprises for you".

The three others smile at my statement.

"Anyway Caster, is there something the matter with me. Ever since you saw me you've been constantly glancing at my visage. I'm sorry but I only love women-".

"No it's not that. My legend hasn't happened yet, and yet I was still summoned by the Grail. I know the ending to the war and you're a little different to what I expected".

All three of them look me, even Waver in the corner widens his eyes and couldn't help but ask, "Who won?".

Giving them a smile I say, "Beat me and find out".

Lancer gave me a respectful nod while Rider placed his hands at his waist and bellowed, "As expected Caster! You're not making it easy to hold back my desire to fight you!".

Archer smiled but not before looking over at Artoria and Irisviel, "This age truly is different to my own. The women here are stronger and more beautiful. Especially when compared to the 'hussy of a woman...".

"Say, Caster, do you know if Saber is married?".

I narrow my eyes before replying, "She was, however Berserker took her wife and they eloped".

The King of Uruk looked at Berserker in a new light, but before he said anything I continued, "But don't think she you're the only one pinning for Saber's favor". Standing up I looked Gilgamesh directly into the eyes not backing down.

I could tell that his current personality was a mixture of both his Fate/Zero one and his Fate/Prototype one. The former was arrogant and believed that his only contender in the world was Enkidu and that all the world's treasures belonged to him and him alone. The latter was less callous and fell in love with Ayaka Sajyou, the Master of Saber. He was battle hungry and proud above all else, however he was more like a playboy than a King.

This mixture mellowed out his personality a bit however didn't respond very well to my statement.

"Oh? Somebody who hasn't even been born yet wants to try and challenge me? You're 4000 years to early".

"Don't underestimate me Gilgamesh. I know more about you than you do yourself".

An imaginary lightning came from both our eyes and met in the middle increasing the tension in the area. Poor Waver was about to piss himself looking at the two.

"Hmph. We will settle this Caster. A fight that will shake the very foundations of the world. I wouldn't be surprised if Gaia or Alaya interfere. Be ready".

"I will".

With a cold snort Archer disappeared into golden motes of light and returned back to the Tohsaka Family mansion.

I turn my gaze back to Artoria and Berserker and I notice a figure in the distance leaning on a cargo container, vomiting blood and worms.

"I'll be back".

I disappear and reappear in front of the man who jumped back at my appearance.

"Who! A Servant! Sh*t! By the Power-".

"I'm not here to fight you Kariya Matou. I'm here to make a deal. In order to save Sakura".

He didn't stop and I punched him in the stomach lightly to stop him from using a Command Seal, causing he man to fall to the ground and vomit once again.

Feeling a little guilty I draw a rune on his back making his breathing steady and the vomiting to stop.

"I want to make a deal with you Kariya. I know quite a bit about the Matou Family magecraft and I know what is happening to that little girl.

But did you know that once she reaches puberty the crest worms will have another effect on her body other than the creation of prana?".

The sickly man shook his head before I said,

"The crest worms will start to act as an aphrodisiac and cause Sakura to lust uncontrollably. I'm sure you don't need me to expand on what will happen after that, do I Kariya?".

He couldn't help but punch the floor, badly bruising his knuckles and looking down with teary eyes. I start to feel bad for the man and place my hand on his shoulder.

"I have a way to save her. But I need Saber to do it. Call back Berserker and meet me at this location tomorrow, I'll tell-".

"What if you're lying to me! Just like all other Mages! You're Caster right! What makes you any different from them!".

I look at him dead in the eyes and respond with a cold voice, "It's because I'm a Heroic Spirit. I was summoned a Master whose views are exactly the same as mine and do you know what she is doing?".

"She is giving up her life in trying to realize 'that' bastards dream. He, who should be treating her with all the love and affection in the world but runs away when the going gets tough. I swore on my life that I would find a way to save hers. So Kariya Matou, would you swear on yours to save Sakura? Do you have to resolution to sacrifice your life in exchange?".

Kariya was scared of the young man in front of him. He was so young, even younger than himself, yet it felt like he was making a deal with a Dead Apostle.

"I... accept... however please! Please!... just save Sakura...".

I give the man a smile and nod, "I swear this. I will do whatever it takes to save Sakura and kill Zouken Matou".

He starts to cry but despite his blubbering activates one of his Command Seals and the presence of Berserker quickly entered the range of my [Presence Detection].

"Tomorrow. At this location. Be there".

I give the man a nod and return back to the area where Artoria was standing in front of Irisviel with Lancer in a attacking position once more.

"Where did you go Caster? You nearly missed the fight".

"I met a friend. I'm meeting up with him tomorrow and want to ask if you'd help me out with something".

Both Rider, Lancer and Saber turned and looked at me with different expressions.

"Of course Caster! My Master and I would love to help you out, isn't that right Master".

Iskandar patted his Masters head which caused the Waver more pain than pleasure under the mans giant hands.

"Hang on a second! I didn't agree to any of this! Hey wait-".

Irisviel giggled at the duo's antics and I turned to Lancer.

"I apologize Caster. My Master does not want me assisting you with defeating other Servants I will have to-".

"Even if it means the life of a little girl is forfeit? Is that what you want, Lancer?".

His face twitched and he appeared conflicted.

The pressure in the air thickened and Waver appeared a little uncomfortable. Irisviel's face grew cold as she imagined a little girl with white hair and red eyes.

"I cannot. My loyalty to my Master is absolute. I will not be swayed-".

"What if I said that this little girl will be raped everyday for over 10 years? She's barely 6 years old now. What would you do Diarmuid Ua Duibhne?".

He flinched when I called him by his True Name. I was sure his Master immediately tried to call him back but resisted and l continued,

"Diarmuid Ua Duibhne. You, a Knight of Fianna. Would throw that all away-"

"No! That does not matter. My loyalty is absolute, I will not-".

"Betray your lord again? Run away with his fiance? I'm not asking you to do that. I'm asking you to help me save the life of a little girl. Would that be betraying your so called 'honor' Diarmuid?".

He turned around and didn't respond, only looking at Saber and Rider who had apparently made up their minds already.

"Lancer, it would be an honor to fight alongside you. Whether you come or not I will not think any less of you", said Saber.

Rider on the other hand, "Your loyalty is admirable, yet blinds you Lancer. You are not just a Servant. You are the concept of 'Diarmuid Ua Duibhne' given life. All your memories, beliefs and experiences shape you. Not your Master's orders. Remember this".

We could all see Lancer clenching his dual spears tightly before jumping away and turning into his spirit form.

"Anyway, Caster... what is it you need us to do?". asked Saber. The King of Knights had already agreed when she heard about the 'little girl'. Her morals and beliefs disallowed her to ignore this.

I gave them a smile before looking off in the direction of the Matou Mansion on the other side of town.

"It's a bug extermination. There's an ample amount of worms lurking about this city and they need to be cleansed. With extreme prejudice".
