16 Chapter 14 Class 1A
A little more time passed and my relationship with Yu became more emotional than physical. I had told Momo and Ibara and despite having some reservations about it, had accepted it and the the three got along swimmingly.
Momo and Ibara did look to Yu as a bit of a big sister role model. They were all girls and Momo and Ibara looked up to Mt Lady and respect her prowess as a Hero, something that they aspired to do as well.
Before we knew it, it was the first day of the new school year and Momo and Ibara came to my house before making their way to school. I looked at myself once more in the mirror and smiled.
"Clothes do half the job... the rest is all about confidence...". I put on the the black knee length trench coat and adjust my tie. I had a black dress shirt and tie. Black dress pants and shiny black shoes. If I had a cigarette and a gun in my hand, I'd look as if I was cosplaying as Kiritsugu Emiya.
Say what you want about the man, he knows how to dress.
I heard the doorbell ring and I opened the door and saw Momo and Ibara in their school uniforms.
"Kagami! That's-!".
"Really good...".
Momo blushed and looked away but Ibara smiled and grabbed my tie and pulled my lips to hers.
"You have to wear that everyday. No exceptions, understood?", said Ibara. She was usually never this forceful, but it seemed like this was something that really pleased her.
"Let's make our way to school. It's the first day and we don't want to be late", interrupted Momo. She grabbed my hand and pulled me forward.
'Finally... canon begins!'.
I couldn't help but smile the entire trip way to school. Many passerby's both men and women couldn't help but turn heads when they saw the three of us. Momo and Ibara were beautiful in their own right especially since they both looked much more mature than other girls.
I on the other hand seemed like some sort of bodyguard to the two girls. I was certainly tall for my age but their was something about a suit that made a man look... sophisticated? Seasoned? Doesn't matter, I was getting the same amount of attention both Momo and Ibara were getting.
Arriving at the main gates I say farewell to the two and walk to the staff room trying to find Aizawa. He was the one who recommended for me to work, WITH NO PAY, so Nezu made him my 'superior officer', for lack of a better term.
"Hello? Kagami Ren here". I entered the teachers lounge and saw that most teachers were here as well as All Might and Nezu.
"and so All Might will be teaching here this year- Ah! Kagami-san, you're here. I'll introduce you while I'm at it".
I stood in front of all the U.A teachers and gave a small bow.
"This is Kagami Ren. He as you all know is the cause of the "Hydra Incident" just a little over 2 months ago. As a punishment he will be working here until he pays of the damages. Think of him as an errand boy that will do whatever you ask of him".
A twitch marked formed above my head, 'The hell? Workplace abuse?'.
"Ah! Kagami shounen, glad you could make it. I'm glad the last few weeks haven't been too rough", said All Might placing a hand on my shoulder. I would've felt intimidated if I hadn't seen the anime. He was someone who expressed worry with physical contact more than words.
I smiled, "Don't worry, they have actually been pretty relaxing... oh by the way. Do you know if my luggage has been sent over? Nezu made me the dorm supervisor so I have to live on campus".
"Yes I do actually. Aizawa told me to give this to you once you arrived. He also told me to tell you to make your way to the P.E ground", I tilt my head in confusion before nodding in understanding.
"I see. Thank's All Might. I'll see you around. Give me a shout if you need me". A gave the Number 1 Hero a wave and made my way to the P.E ground. Looks like Aizawa wants me to help him assess Class 1A's quirks.
By the time I got to the sports field several familiar faces came to mind.
Tenya Iida
Denki Kaminari
Kyoka Jirou
Minoru Mineta
Fumikage Tokoyami
Toru Hagakure
Shoto Todoroki
The latter seemed surprised at my arrival however gave me a quick nod before resuming his aloof persona. All the others saw this interaction and whispered amoungst themselves
"Who's he?"
"I don't know. Ask him?".
"He looks really handsome, don't you think Jirou?".
"Yeah...".
While they were talking the rest of the members of Class 1A arrived and one of them pointed at me and said, "You're the guy who I saw I jail!".
With freckles covering his cheeks and a messy bird's nest of green hair, the protagonist of My Hero Academia pointed at me.
I slapped my face hard.
"Alright settle down you lot. And Midoriya, he was a suspect, we didn't charge him. Be more mindful of what you say", Aizawa comes up to me and stands beside me and points.
"This is Kagami Ren. He is an Assistant Teacher at U.A, and will be helping us in practical studies. Treat him as you would any other teacher. Questions?".
Denki Kaminari put his hand up, "Sir, he looks the same age as us. Can we know how old he is?".
Everyone except for two people nodded. Even Bakugo looked more curious then angry.
"He is 15 turning 16".
The members of 1A roared out.
"How is he supposed to teach us if he's our age!".
"That's doesn't make sense".
"That's f*cking ridiculous! Why should I have to-".
Aizawa gave me a nod and I whispered, [Reduced Earth].
With a speed faster than anyone could see I arrived behind Bakugo put a small blade to his throat.
Everyone was still yelling before Momo shouted, "Kagami! What are you doing?!".
They all turned to face me and saw the blade I had to Bakugo's throat. They knew he was the ranked number 1 in the entrance exams and saw how easily I could've killed him.
I give Momo a smile, "I needed to make an impact Mo- Yaoyorozu-san. And it's Kagami-sensei, please remember that?".
I chuck her a wink before returning to Aizawa's side.
"As you can see, Kagami Ren is more competent than any of you. Tell me, if 9 Pro Heroes, let's use the U.A staff for example, how long do you believe it will take for them to catch you? In an enclosed space like the arena mentioned in the news a couple months ago".
Momo and Shoto covered their mouths.
"The U.A staff? Like you and Midnight and Snipe?".
Aizawa nodded.
Hanta Sero stood up and said, "If I'm being completely honest, I probably wouldn't last even five seconds. My quirk isn't suitable for that".
Ochaco Uraraka said, "Yeah same. Snipe would probably hit me before I could even get the chance to move".
Mashirao Ojiro shook his head, "I'd probably last around 6-7 seconds before I'd be surrounded. I'd panic and make a mistake".
Aizawa nodded, until...
"I'd kick your asses! There isn't anyone here how could-".
"And if one of those 9 Heroes was All Might?", interrupted Aizawa.
Bakugo shut up. He knew that he could last longer than most of the others against 9 Heroes but not for more than 30 seconds, and even during those 30 seconds he'd be completely on the defense, trying to block all their attacks from reaching him.
Tenya was about to respond before he looked up and started shaking, "Sir! You don't mean!".
The Erasure Hero smiled and nodded.
"What is it Tenya tell us?", said Eijiro Kirishima.
"Yeah! Did you think of something?, asked Mina Ashido.
He adjusted his glasses before looking at me with a serious face, "How long did you last?".
Everyone turned to me and waited for my response but once again-
"He lasted a total of 55 seconds. If we include 'that' he lasted about 78 seconds. And the Heroes he was running away from was the U.A staff, inlcuding All Might and the principal".
The entirety of 1A's jaws dropped. He successfully evaded capture for 78 seconds. From All Might! It must be known that the average person can run 100 in less than ten seconds. For Pro Heroes it's roughly between 6-7 seconds. If it's in an enclosed space such as an arena.
"If I may, what is your quirk Kagami-sensei? You don't have to answer if you don't want", said Momo. She already knew but had a cheeky smile on her face as her gaze met mine.
I looked at Aizawa and he gave me a nod, "I have..".
