"I am Jarold, and you are in Swordsdale, the world of Sword Smash!" the man replied.

Jarold had on a green hat and cloak, with yellow stars decorating it. He also had a long gray beard and a wand in his left hand.

"Wait… so you mean I'm INSIDE the game!?"

"Basically.. Sword Smash isn't like normal video games. It's like virtual reality, but without the virtual part! Here, I'll give you some powers to start you off. You'll need to be able to fight to survive in this world. Would you like to be a Mage, a Knight, or a Cleric?"

"I guess I'll be a mage, but I really want to know how I got here in the first place.."

"I'll tell you, but first let me give you your powers!"

"Okay..?"

Jarold waved his wand, and suddenly Trey was wearing a purple hat and cloak, and he now held a wooden wand.

"Wow! These clothes are so cool! So how do I use my magi-"

Trey was cut off by a loud rumbling sound. His eyes widened as the ground started to shake, and the other players started to panic.

"Run!" yelled Jarold.
