Soon enough a month passed, during this time the siege of Riverrun had continued, the Stark's had gone past the siege and attacked a new party of Lannisters gathering, and in the end the Stark's beat the Lannisters by sneaking past the Golden Tooth.
Another thing that happened was Cersei slapping Joffrey. After that Cersei came into my chambers.
"Alexander, how are you doing?" She asked
"Good, what about you, Cersei?" I asked back
"I'm doing fine, extremely stressed but it will all eventually work out." She said
"Indeed it will, if there is anything you require for me to ease your stress, don't feel afraid to ask." I said as I turned around.
"Indeed there is something you could help me with" She said as I heard her clothes hit the floor.

Immediately after I took my 175 guards, got on our horses and rode for Riverrun. It took us 5 days to arrive.
I immediately went to see the Lord Tully.
He was situated in a dungeon cell when I arrived.
"Greetings, Lord Edmure, we meet again." I said
He then spat in front of me.
"Traitor!" He said
"And how am I the traitor? It's not like I rebelled against the realm." I said.
"You broke your oath." He said
"Aye I broke my oath, but you broke yours as well. The oath you took to King Robert." I said.
"At least I have the balls to fight someone stronger than me." He said
"Aye, the balls of a fool. You attacked someone outside your capabilities. Even if you managed to repel an army 3 times your size multiple times, you would take casualties and the Lannisters can replace troops after troops, you can't. Another factor, winter. All of you knew it was coming. You know that rallying for this war means your peasant will die a year faster. You have to retreat to wait for the Winter. The Lannisters doesn't, and the Stark's can't come to your aid, and your riverlords are not strong enough." I said.
"We have Renly and Stannis, either of those will help us." He said
"Nay they won't. They want to rule the seven kingdoms, and you want to make it the Five Kingdoms. And Renly controls the reach, which means no food for you, this is a fools war, and you chewed more than you can swallow." I said.
"Well, you will make a fine hostage, your family, not so much. Have your entire family take the black, the children can stay here until their coming of age and the women will be sent to Essos and they will no longer keep their name. Do this, or I will have the Mountain rape your women and children, and you know he will do it." I said
He then began thinking before saying
"Fine, it's a better mercy than most would give." He said
And with that the Paramount family was gone.
I then sent a letter to Jaime. Ordering him to send us the 1000 infantry from Stones Hedge and 1000 from the Crossroads.
I then went to Tytos.
Take the Lannister men, and order them to go around the city, taking over Tully establishments and make them Brackens, kill all members from other Houses and hunt down any remaining men of the garrison hiding, also use this chance to kill anyone suspected of being criminals, we won't get this opportunity again.
"Yes, My Lord!" He said before leaving.
I then turned towards Jon.
"Jon, take the 200 men and check the entire keep, every corner, hidden passage, everything, find it then report it to me." I said
He nodded then left.
After that I sat down with the maester of Riverrun and we began going through everything in Riverrun, from its stability, to trading, merchants, powerful people, and lastly the things the tullies owned. Their taverns, blacksmiths, shipwrights, everything. I forwarded this to Tytos and we began forcefully taking them over, of course I informed them that I would pay them 10% more than whatever the tullies paid.
Lastly I sent a message to Tywin Lannister, asking what to do with the army from now on, I also stated that I needed an escort for Lord Edmure Tully.
The last thing I did for the day was send a letter to all Houses of the Riverlands that they have 4 months to come and recognise me as their new Lord Paramount or they would be dealt with.
It only took 2 weeks for Hoise Vance, Smallwood, Cox, and Darry to come swear an oath of fealty. Shockingly House Piper also came after 3 weeks, but not to swear fealty. I guess they didn't realise the Lannister were s here. Their 5000 army was quickly slaughtered and I sent 500 Heavy and 500 Light Cavalry with Lord Vance of Wayfarers Rest to take Pinkmaiden.
House Vance of Atranta also opted to send a letter of hate rather than wait. I then sent 10 000 Lannister men there alongside 3000 Smallwood infantry. They wouldn't last long. Another House sent a letter stating that they Akkad swear fealty was House Butterwell of Whitewalls, House Hogg of Hogg's Hall did the same.
Almost the entirety of the Riverlands Houses swore fealty, it seems they could not have wars right before winter, they understood that war was bad for their survival, the major houses could survive easily, but they would have it hard. House Blackwood sent a letter explaining they would not swear fealty, the Freys didn't say anything, but it spoke for itself. Lastly the Mallister sent a letter stating that if they were given the Blackwood lands they would swear. Which I would happily do.
I immediately sent a letter to Mallister explaining that we would launch an attack at Raventree Hall with 8000 Infantry and 1000 Heavy Cavalry and 1000 Light Cavalry. It didn't take long for them to respond and stating they would also send 4000 Infantry.
I then sent 5000 Lannister Infantry, 3000 Bracken Infantry and 2000 Bracken Cavalry to Raventree Hall, it was time to end the rivalry once and for all.
Tytos was in charge of the battle. They set out 5 days after I arrived. Lord Tywin had also sent a letter allowing me to use his 20 000 men however he wished to quell the Riverland Houses.
** POV Switch to Tytos **
The Blackwood's were waiting in the forest. There were a forest on the left side of Raventree Hall, however we would be at a disadvantage in the forest. Therefore I decided to follow the river instead of going through the forest.
The Blackwoods couldn't continue staying in the forest after we left it. The River went the entire way to Raventree Hall. And 1 day after leaving Riverrun we were met by the Blackwood Army.
The Blackwood had a strong infantry culture and therefore had 10.000 Infantry and 500 Cavalry. They formed into main, left and right flank. 3000 on right and main. While they had 4000 on the left flank.
I then formed up to counter them. Placing 3000 Lannister infantry on the right facing 3000 Blackwoods. 3000 Bracken Infantry on the middle, and 2000 Lannister infantry plus 2000 Bracken Cavalry on the left facing their 4000 strong men.
The battle started, the battle that would define the war was the left flank.
The Lannister men were informed to simply stay put and defend. I had hidden my 1000 Light Cavalry, and the Blackwoods have yet to spot them. I engaged the 500 light cavalry from Blackwood with our 1000 Heavy Cavalry beside the left flank. The Blackwoods didn't stand any chance against the superior horses, armor, number, skills and they were quickly annihilated.
However the Blackwoods am had seen this coming and therefore had 1000 men from the Left Flank facing the 900 remaining Bracken Heavy Cavalry, expecting them to attack the left flanks lines.
However that's when Daemon, the cavalry commander attacked the main line instead, they did not expect it and therefore they did not have the time to turn around.
The Heavy Cavalry slammed into the lines of the Blackwood infantry, the main line were also the front with most casualties, although the Blackwood men had studied the Bracken formation, they had not found an effective counter and were therefore killed 2:1. And that number quickly racked up to 600. And then with 900 Heavy Cavalry slaughtering their troops they quickly began loosing, and as the bodies stacked up, the Bracken men took advantage of this and pushed the Blackwood infantry even harder than before. And sure enough, being squeezed between 2 weapons of mass destruction was too much and the men began running.
That's when Blackwood reinforcements from the left flank came and began attacking the Cavalry from behind.
After the cavalry went to the main line. The Blackwood Lord sent 1000 men from the left flank to pursue, as they believed we had no more cavalry units.
After their troops intercepted the Heavy Cavalry, the 1000 Light Cavalry came from the forest attacking the 3000 remaining Lannister men in the left flank.
And sure enough, even if they still outnumbered their counterparts, the Blackwood infantry struggled to gain any advantage. The Light Cavalry, even if not as effective as the heavy cavalry is still a nightmare for unsuspecting infantry troops.
And like that the entire battlefield changed. The main battlefield was won, the left flank was struggling and the right flank was equal, with the Lannister men having the slight advantage.
As the heavy cavalry was engaging the small Blackwood dispatch. The 3000 Bracken men broke through any remaining resistance from the Blackwood main flank, engaged the left flank dispatch, this freed up the Heavy Cavalry. They then turned around, gathered momentum before charging into the left flank.
The Blackwood men, being engaged with the Light Cavalry had completely forgotten the Heavy Cavalry and therefore had no time to prepare. The only warning being the thunderous sound of the horses.
The left flank couldn't take it for long, and have 5 minutes they also routed. The 3000 Bracken men had also routed the Blackwood dispatch, and had turned on the right flank, the right flank attempted a retreat but were intercepted before managing to retreat property. The Cavalry also turned on the running men and began slaughtering them.
After five hours of regrouping, we marched on the Blackwood castle. The Lord had not managed to escape and he had no heirs, only a wife and she couldn't manage to defend the siege when her husband was about tbe be tortured in front of the walls, and we were taken in.
After that I decided to execute their entire lineage. As much as I would like to spare them I needed to set an example, the Blackwoods were extremely disrespectful and they directly insulted us, additionnaly they have been our rivals since ancient times, and any off spring they have would spend their entire life trying to exterminate us. I didn't need that.

After this I decided to return to King's Landing. Jaime could deal with Riverrun and the Mallisters would get Raventree Hall.
Additionally I ordered for all our troops to return to Riverrun, we would have 4000 infantry at Riverrun, 1500 Heavy Cavalry and 55 River Galleys.
I would station 40 at Quiet Isle. While 5 River Galleys and 30 Longships would patrol and to extra duties.
Lastly I ordered the recruitment of 3000 Infantry, increasing our force to 10.000 Infantry, 3.000 Cavalry and 5.750 Marines.
Similarly I sent a letter to all the Houses of the Riverlands, asking them to prepare their armies for potential rallying or battles.

I know this series might be fast pace and stuff, but honestly the game of thrones is a series of a lot of details. I'm watching a new episode just for every single chapter. If you expect a fanfic of 150+ chapters then it probably won't happen. I can strive for 100 but it probably won't be more than that.
