------------------------------

Edward's teenage body was huge. He was even taller than Robert and everyone he knew. Maybe only the Mountain and Sander Clagyne were taller than him. And with Edward's training, his body was muscular. That was why he would be able to perform such a move.

When Edward looked at Rhaegar, he could see Rhaegar looking at him with dissatisfaction. Of course, Rhaegar would know about what Edward had done. Although the news reached him a little late, he still heard about it. He knew that Edward was the cause of it.

But could Rhaegar do anything to Edward? In fact, Edward had every right to kill Rhaegar, who was looking at his brother's betroth like that. Edward did not care about what Rhaegar thought of him, even if this accident caused their previous deal to be off. Edward did not need Rhaegar any way. It was quite the opposite as Rhaegar was the one who kept annoying him about this trivial request.

At the moment, Rhaegar, who was thinking to go easy on Edward to try to get him to his side, decided to take this much seriously. He still needed Edward after all, but he needed to teach him a lesson. He did not like when Edward schemed behind his back.

Rhaegar was taking it as if Edward had kidnapped his wife, not the other way around.

All of you could imagine what would happen next when two rivals wanted to humiliate each other.

The first round was intense as both of them managed to break their lances without unhorsing the other. Edward could insult Rhaegar all he wanted, but he had to admit that Rhaegar had some Jousting skills. He was not always the champion for nothing. Rhaegar even surprised Edward by how fine he was able to control his horse and the lance. That was why Edward, who would break two lances before his opponent landed a hit, got hit in the first round.

But that was it. Edward would take the next two rounds to memorize Rhaegar's every move, and he would be able to defeat him next.

The second and third rounds passed like the first one, with both of them breaking their lances after landing a hit. Rhaegar was also surprised after these rounds by Edward's movements as it seemed that Edward was only propping him out, and he did not go all out.

That got more obvious when Edward landed a hit and broke his lance on Rhaegar's armor when Rhaegar could not do the same.

The same happened in the fifth round, and everyone could see that Edward was better than Rhaegar. But still, in Jousting, The winner could be decided at any moment. If Edward made any mistake, he could be the one who lost rather than the winner.

In the sixth round, everything changed at the last moment as Edward, who was riding his horse, suddenly stood while holding his lance. And using all his strength, he swang the lance at Rhaegar's horse's surge.

Rhaegar was pushed back at once and lost his hold of the lance in his hand. He fell back on the ground, but his leg was still tied in the surge. Due to the pain that it received from Edward's lance, the hose pulled Rhaegar for three meters on the ground before stopping.

Edward could hear the crowd screaming and shouting for Rhaegar. They who were excited a moment ago changed their behavior at once. Rhaegar was loved by the Smallfolks, after all.

Edward decided to play his role as the caring lord. He had achieved what he wanted, so he did not see any reason for continuing his hostile act. He jumped from his horse and went to the prince to check on him.

"How are you doing, my prince? Are you injured anywhere?" Asked Edward faking the caring tone. He said that while trying to get his Rhaegar's out. He had to play his role well. Edward could not fake his help here.

"I am alright. I just got surprised, but your move, Lord Baratheon." Said Rhaegar with a smile. He could not blame Edward as he experienced everything himself. Edward played fair and square and did not use any trick to hurt him.

'What was I thinking? Why would I behave like that? Don't tell me that girl had such an effect on me. Am I losing my mind for her? But she was really beautiful, not to mention that she lived in the north, which meant ice. I don't know if she was the one that I had to marry to achieve the prophecy.' Thought Rhaegar as his mind was only thinking of Lyanna Stark. He could not take her out of his mind, not to mention the prophecy. He promised himself to search again when he returned to King's landing.

Rhaegar was lost in his thought and did not come out of it until he felt pain in his leg. It seemed that when the horse pulled him by his leg, he got hurt in the process. He looked at Edward, who was helping him to stand and his faked care. Rhaegar did not know if he could blame him. Edward only played by the rules, and accidents happened all the time. Plus, Edward asked about him the first thing and did not go and celebrate his victory.

Rhaegar shook his head and could only blame himself for not concentrating enough on the match. He blamed Lyanna Stark for distracting him as well.

"Can you stand up, my prince? Does your leg hurt?" Asked Edward, who was getting really good at this. He could even kill someone and then pretend that he had nothing to do with it without anyone doubting him.

"It seemed I hurt myself a little." Said Rhaegar with a smile.

Soon, Rhaegar's team entered the field and ran to their location. Edward, who was holding Rhaegar's waist while helping him move, got surprised a little by their efficiency. Those people jumped down to reach as soon as they could. They were really devoted to Rhaegar.

"Are you okay, your highness?" Asked Barristan the bold. He got worried a little as he was the one supposed to protect the prince.

"I am fine, Ser Barristan. Lord Baratheon helped me. I would only need some days to heal up, and everything would be fine." Said Rhaegar with a smile, trying to reassure his most devoted follower.
