Chapter 218: Battle of Blackwater Bay and Oberyn Martel

As for Aegon Targaryen, Robb Stone had given him this advice. He told him that it was the best time to take action against the Lannister, and it was finally the time to take back what belonged to him.

The idiotic Aegon believed him and took all his men with him to attack King's Landing. If he did not, the gold in his hand would end anyway and would lose those men in the end. So attacking King's Landing was his last and only resort.

As for Robb Stone, he slipped away for Aegon's campaign after convincing him. His mission finally came to an end, and it was time to return to his king. He had spent more than ten years in this mission, and he was exhausted because he had to endure that idiot that had no brain in his head.

The battle of Blackwater Bay happened again in this timeline not long after that but with different sides and different tactics than the original one. This time, Aegon Targaryen was the leader of the opposing team instead of Stannis, and he did not have enough soldiers to pressure King's Landing the same way Stannis did.

Stannis had more than twenty thousand soldiers from Stormsland and his own men when he attacked King's Landing, but Aegon had a pitiful number of twelve thousand men with around a hundred and fifty ships.

That was all the power that he managed to gather, and without Edward's help, he would not even have managed to get this number. Although the situation looked dire for Aegon, Tyrion did not have the wildfire to help him destroy most of Aegon's ships.

It was a difficult battle for both sides since Tyrion only had the golden cloaks to defend the city. But Tyrion still managed to do that and preserve King's Landing until his father arrived and kicked Aegon from King's Landing.

But that did not end well for the two commanders. Aegon, who got defeated after he destroyed a big part of the wall around King's Landing, was attacked before he could arrive at Dragonstone by Edward's ships, waiting for his arrival, destroying his ships and killing him in the end.

As for Tyrion, he thought that he finally achieved something on his own and would gain his father's trust from that point, but he almost died on Ser Myren Trant in the end. After the end of the battle, Ser Myren listened to Cersei's orders and attacked Tyrion when no one was around, cutting down his left arm in his first swing, making Tyrion scream hard enough for everyone to hear.

You could not imagine the terror Tyrion had been through at that time since he did not expect to receive his sister's gift this early. But Tyrion wanted to live, and his instincts kicked in, making him take a short sword he was carrying with his remaining arm and jumped on the attacking knight. Of course, Tyrion was not his opponent, but he did everything in his ability in order to live.

Although he managed to cut Ser Myren's throat, who was not wearing his helmet since he was confident enough to kill Tyrion without any worry, Tyrion got a cut on his face in the process. But after that, he was left there to die without no one around him to save him.

When he was about to die, someone appeared in his blurry vision and carried him. Tyrion did not know if his eyes were seeing things or playing a trick on him because the one who saved him was none other than Varys, who disappeared from King's Landing since the start of everything. Varys looked a little different at that moment, though.

As for Petyr Baelish, he did not have a good rest the past few months well after the disappearance of Sansa Stark. Not only that, but he had to take Myrcella Baratheon to The Vale himself, making everything that he prepared in the previous years fail without enough returns. If he knew who was the one behind this, he swore he would kill him with his own hands.

After nearly eight months passed since Raymont got his dragon, Daenerys, the last one, hatched her dragon egg at last. Edward did not know which egg from the three he took from Illyrio would hatch Drogon and had to go with a random one. But in the end, Daenerys still managed to hatch Drogon.

Each one of his children had his dragon at the moment, except Wilyam, who was in Storm's Eye till this moment. When he remembered how Edward was spending his days with the faceless men, Edward started to pity him a little before shaking his head.

"Nice Dragon!!" Said Oberyn Martel, who stayed with Edward the whole time since he came to Essos. He liked Edward's lifestyle and the fights he had been through since he followed Edward from the beginning. Oberyn had gone with Raymont to conquer the Slaver Bay's cities, but he returned on his own at this moment.

"What are you doing here?" Asked Edward, who was surprised to see Oberyn return alone without his son and the rest of their armies. Did something happen?

"Your son is no fun at all. He did not let me enjoy my time." Said Oberys with an annoyed expression. He had gone with Raymont since he thought that Edward would not fight for the time being. But Raymont's tactics were not fun, either. He used tricks and would win the cities without enough fights.

"What happened??" Asked; Edward since he had a lot to think about those past few months and did not pay attention to his son's movements. He was confident in his son's ability and did not plan to pay attention to his actions.

"Your son would send assassins and use dirty tricks to kill the masters to take the cities without any fight. I am telling you he is no fun at all. I could not go on like that and decided to annoy you instead." Said Oberyn as he smiled at Edward as if saying something like that made him feel better.

Edward ignored him and decided to rest after Daenerys hatched her dragon. Raymont would need another Two months to take New Ghis, and they would return to Westeros finally. Edward had been getting a bad feeling that something would happen to him soon and could not help but look towards the North's direction.

The next four months passed without anything significant happening. The only thing worth mentioning was Rob Stark's predicament. Roose Bolton was finishing his deal with Tywin and informed Lord Frey about Rob's secret wife.
