Edward started losing his consciousness. He knew that this poison was the famous SNAKE VENOM from Dorne.

Edward had tested The Venom on himself before. And he was able to hold on with small quantities. But if the assassin fired another arrow and Edward got hit, Edward would die for real this time.

Snake Venom was not some ordinary poison, and if he had not tried to raise his body's poison resistance, he would have died instantly.

'It was my fault. I had underestimated my enemies too much, seeing that I already read the books and watched the show. I thought I knew everything about them, and I could best them instantly.' thought Edward as he started blaming himself for his arrogance.

Although Edward was talented, having all that knowledge in his head and knowing every big fish's character in the game made him act arrogant. It was a good and bad thing at the same time.

The shooter wanted to finish Edward off, so he hurried to fire another arrow. Edward was preparing himself to die, but it seemed his soldiers had a different opinion and decided to do everything they could to save their commander.

Commander Arc, seeing His Lord in this situation, took the lead. He started giving orders to the men. He was a calm and resolute man, and that was his trait in Edward's eyes. He could lead a long war, one that took months or years, before making his opponent made the first mistake.

"Brown, take ten men with you and kill the shooters. The rest, Sheild the Commander and the king and move towards the main army," said Arc.

The men nodded, and everyone tried to take Edward out of this situation. Edward was moved by his men's action of sacrificing themselves to save him. He was losing his consciousness and knew he would be a burden, but since his men sacrificed themselves for him, he would lead them to glorious life.

The men deflected arrows after arrows that were fired at them. It seemed that there were more assassins beside the one who attacked Edward. One after the other, the men started falling due to injuries from the arrows covered with poison. Although Edward's men were among the best, No one could deflect arrows from ten shooters at the same time and not being injured. Plus, The men were carrying Edward and their fallen brothers.

They were about to reach the army's tents but, at this moment, an arrow was shot and headed towards Edward's head. Edward was unconscious at the moment and couldn't defend himself. Arc, seeing this, threw himself in the arrow's path to protect Edward as he would not be able to deflect it with the sword. In his jump, Arc was able to deflect the arrow that headed toward Edward's head, but at that time, another shooter took the chance and fired an arrow towards Arc's heart.

The arrow was out of Arc's reach, and Arc could only try using his sword then to parry it. When Arc tried, he was not able to redirect it in a different direction. And the arrow penetrated his chest.

The blood flooded from his chest, and the men panicked more. But because they were trained for such situations, they tried to calm themselves, and one of the men carried Arc. The men soon reached the main army's camp.

The soldiers, seeing this scene, at once took them to the maesters in the army to check their injuries. The news soon reached Lord Tywin, who looked disappointed after hearing about Edward's survival, but when the king saw his look, he was sure that Tywin wanted his death, and he was the one who orchestrated this accident.

In Edward's tent, His men were checking and bandaging his injuries. He had supervised every one of his men while making them learn about first-aid and how to apply bandages to the different injuries.

His men refused to allow anyone to enter his tent or check his injuries. He had always instructed them not to trust any maesters unless they were dead.

Arc was the one who was taken by the men to the maester as his injury was fatal, and his survival was minimal. And the men did not want to lose the hope of saving Arc. Arc was one of the people that their Lord trusted the most. They were doing that for Edward and themselves.

Lord Tywin didn't wait for him to wake from his coma and attacked the Duskendale town at once. He was able to capture Lord Darklyn and his family as the man gave up before even fighting.

Edward was unconscious for five days. And after capturing Lord Darklyn, the army returned to King's Landing, where King Aerys ordered the death of Lord Darklyn and his family and his In-law family, the Holland.

The king knighted Edward and his men, himself. They were his life saviors, after all. Although Edward was unconscious, he was knighted nonetheless.

When he woke up, Edward felt pain all over his body and couldn't move a muscle. When his men saw this, they cheered. They thought their Lord was going to die from the venom.

After drinking some water brought by his men, Edward turned his eyes to look at his men to check their conditions. Many of them were injured and poisoned next to him. He tried to find Arc but couldn't see him.

"Brown, What is the situation? How many men did we lose? and where is Arc?" asked Edward, giving a sad look.

This situation was partly his fault. If he didn't let his guard down and did not get himself shot, he would have been able to turn back the situation in their favor.

Brown gave his Lord a sad look and started explaining the situation to him. He was the most pained among the men. Brown was the deputy under Arc in Arc's unit, so the two were closer to each other.

"I am sorry, Lord Edward, but we lost commander Arc. He got shot while trying to protect you from a head shot, and the arrow penetrated his chest. The arrow pierced his lungs, and he was poisoned and died two days ago." said Brown with a sad tone.

Arc was one of the few people that Edward trusted the most. He had groomed him since the beginning, and he was great general material. But now, Edward lost this commander because of Tywin's trap. He promised his men to avenge Arc and would make Tywin cry blood in the future.

His men, seeing their Lord's determined gazes, promised themselves to get stronger and help their Lord. The men started talking about the things that he had missed when he was unconscious.
