-----------------------------------------

After leaving the tent, Edward headed to his men. He wanted to discuss the mission's details with them so that they could prepare.

Half an hour later, he led his fifty men in the direction of the town. When they were near the gate, they stopped when they saw Ser Barristan coming towards their location.

Edward, then, took them to an isolated place to discuss the plan. He took a small map of the Duskendale town and put it in front of them. He then started discussing the plan.

"Well, as you can see, this town is not well-fortified, but the problem is how to save the king with small casualties. First, we will have to disguise ourselves in the smallfolk's clothes and scale the wall unseen at night. After entering the town, we will be divided into three teams. The first team will have ten men. I will lead this team, Ser Barristan will also be on this team. This team will head towards Dun Fort and scale its wall as well. We, then, will make our way to the dungeons where the king is being imprisoned, and free him. The second team will be composed of twenty-five men. Commander Arc will lead this team. Their mission is to put a fire into the depots of Duskendale's army to distract them. The last team will be responsible for making a safe way out for us. We have only five hours before the sunrise, so we need to execute everything fast. We also don't have the time for mistakes." Explained Edward.

Everyone nodded their head while Ser Barristan had an amazed look on his face. He marveled at the detailed plan that took everything into consideration. He might have disguised himself as a smallfolk, but he would have to fight his way out with the whole of Duskendale's army waiting for him. He would be lucky to save himself not to mention the king. He, now, knew why this young man in front of his eyes was terrifying. He didn't allow mistakes in his plans, so the outcome should be a disaster for his enemy.

Edward, seeing the absent look on Ser Barristan's face, shifted his eyes away. He let Barristan ponder the plan to make sure he wouldn't make any mistakes.

They waited for the night to cover the sky, then made their way to the town's wall disguised as small folks. They scaled the wall as fast as they could, then divided themselves according to their teams.

Edward led his ten-men team with Ser Barristan and headed to the Dun Fort. When they reached its walls, they chose a place without guards and made their way up.

When they were inside the Fort, they killed every soldier that roamed alone till their way to the dungeons was clear.

At this moment, the second team reached the army depots and waited for the appointed time. When the time was right, they put all the depots on fire at the same time.

Panic and shock covered everyone inside the Fort because Everyone was terrified, as because of the war, the army stored all the city's food in the depots. Meanwhile, soldiers could be seen carrying barrels of water, trying to put off the fire.

Soon, the news reached Lord Denys Darklyn, who immediately knew that the fire was put by someone who would try to rescue the king, but he didn't know how to manage the situation. The food of the entire town was stored in those depots if he didn't manage to put off the fire, the town would die with him.

He could only ask his master-at-arms and brother-in-law, Ser Symon Hollard, to take twenty men and head to the dungeons while he would take the rest of his men to put off the fire as fast as he could. He underestimated his enemies as he thought only two or three people would be able to sneak into his castle and the rest would be outside to spread out the fire.

It was logical thinking, but he didn't consider the worst-case scenario. He didn't know that each of Edward's knights was at the level of his strongest knight, Symon Hollard. Although only two or three of his men were on the level of Ser Barristan, that was good enough for him at the moment. Who was Ser Barristan Selmy? He was the knight that put nearly all the crown's problems down.

Edward and his team reached the cell where the king was being imprisoned. When they saw him, Edward was sure that the mad king had finally arrived. Edward could see the look of doubt and paranoia in the king's eyes. The king was pale and exhausted as he was in prison for nearly a half year.

Edward decided to take advantage of this situation and set Tywin up. He thought for a while before deciding to free the king and get out of there first.

"Your grace." Said Ser Barristan while preparing to kneel.

Edward hurriedly stopped him. If Barristan kneeled, he would have to kneel too, and he wouldn't allow that.

"Sorry, your grace, but we don't have time for this now. We have to get out of here before more soldiers get here," said Edward in a hurry.

The king looked at him with doubt. He didn't know who the young man in front of him was, or he didn't remember.

"Who are you?" asked the king with a weak voice while following them.

"I am Edward Baratheon from house Baratheon, your grace," said Edward in a hurry. He was worried about the trap that Tywin set up for him.

"The son of Steffon?" asked the king with a look of hope. He only trusted a few people now, Steffon was among them.

"Yes, your grace. My father is Steffon Baratheon. I was asked to come here to save you after getting permission from my father." said Edward while planting more doubt seeds in Aerys's heart.

Barristan looked at Edward and didn't say anything as it was a good excuse or else how a fifteen-year-old young man would be allowed to come here.
