1 HARRY POTTER IN WESTEROS AS DOMERIC BOLTON Part-I

* 36 year old Harry Potter who was the Chief Warlock of Wizengamot died in an accident involving the Vale of Death and got transmigrated into the body of 6 year old Domeric Bolton when the boy died from falling off the horse and landing on his head.

* After he got transmigrated into the new body, he immediately understood the current state of the place he was living in and he didn't like it. His father, Roose Bolton was somewhat of a Tyrant and the people lived in fear under that man. Harry decided to do something about this.

* Unfortunately, he didn't have a proper wand and couldn't perform any powerful magic. Not to mention the fact that the ambient magic in this world was pretty low. The only place with high amount of magic was near the Weirwood tree. So he needed to be smart about taking any substantial actions for the time being. He also knew that if nothing else, he would be planting more of those trees near his home.

* Lord Roose Bolton asked the Maester about his son's health and his recent activities. The boy had changed ever since the accident with the horse and he didn't knew what to make of the boy anymore. The Maester told him that the boy was progressing very well in his studies but one worrying thing was the fact that the boy was spending a lot of his time under the Weirwood tree nowadays. Roose simply wondered what his son was up to but then decided not to think much about it.

* Harry looked at the wand he had managed to create with the Weirwood wood and his blood. It was a weak wand and he knew that it would blow up if he tried to channel too much magic with it. Not to mention that it was not very compatible either. But it worked. And the one good thing about mind magic was that it didn't took a lot of magic to perform. And he would use that to his benefit.

* Harry sat with the Maester during his lessons and when the Maester was not looking, he silently took out his wand and cast a mild compulsion charm on the man that would make him more loyal to him over time. He had been doing that with all the important people in the castle recently, including his father (not that he saw the cruel and psychopathic man as his father). After using some legilimency, he had easily found out about the truly vicious nature of his father who still performed the practice of flaying in the dungeons under the castle. Harry was thoroughly disgusted by the man and the only reason Roose was still alive was because Harry didn't yet understood the world all that much.

* Harry goes to Roose Bolton one afternoon and they talk about giving him a small piece of land for himself to rule so that he could learn more about ruling. But despite the compulsion charms placed on Roose, his request is declined and he is quite frustrated by having his life controlled by other people.

* Harry finds out about the number of people living in the Bolton lands after successfully obtaining a few important documents from his father's solar. There were about 650,000 people living in their lands. He was surprised that so few people lived in their lands considering how vast the Bolton Lands were. In fact, the Boltons had enough land to rival a small scale country back in Earth.

But then he realized that the people in this world didn't have the green revolution so the crops they grew offered them little food. And then there was also the fact that North was a harsh place to live in due to the cold and snow. Regardless, he was glad that he had this many people under him and was excited with his prospects for the future.

After all, if he was unlucky then he could have transmigrated into the body of the son of a lesser noble who only rules a thousand people and a small piece of land.

* Weirwood were magical plants that lived for thousands of years and didn't grew naturally. He learned that bit of information after some light reading and a few experiments of his own.

But he was not described as the second coming of Merlin back in Earth for no reason and was able to understand how to grow new Weirwood trees after studying the tree for a short while. He also created a Bonsai version that he could plant in a pot and keep in his room. That way, he won't have to keep coming back to the Weirwood tree to recharge his magic quickly whenever he exhausted it.

* He was pissed. Roose Bolton wanted to send him off to some lady named Barbery Dustin so that he could become her page and be fostered in her home. Problem was that he had his own plans for the future. Plans that needed him to stay in his lands and not go somewhere else

But when he argued with Roose, he got slapped on the face and told to mind his manners. He was now pissed beyond belief. He had kept Roose alive so far so that he won't have to worry about running the castle on his own lands but the man had stepped his boundary one too many times and it was time to finally put him down for good.

* A week later, Roose Bolton slipped down from a set of stairs and cracked his head open.

* Ned receives a letter from his Maester and was shocked when he read it. Roose Bolton, was dead and had left behind a 7 year old boy to rule the Dreadfort and it's surrounding lands. He sighed, thinking about the repercussions of this and how he'll have to find someone to act as regent for the boy until he comes of age. The only remaining family the boy had left was Lady Barbery Dustin. His mother's sister. But then again, Lady Barbery Dustin was a woman and he was not sure if the Bolton men would follow a woman. Choices.

* His aunt, Barbery Dustin had come to take care of him as soon as she got the message that his father was dead. She was immensely worried about him as he had now lost both his father and mother. Strangely, he found himself liking her as despite her medieval mindset, she actually loved him like her own child and for him who had lost his mother at an early age in both his lives, it was quite a novel experience.

He immediately put her in the list of people he would care for and make sure that they are well taken care of no matter what. She was a bit bewildered by his attachment with Weirwood trees and the large amount of Weirwood saplings growing in the Godswood in the castle and didn't knew what to think of it.

* He had to go and give his oath of allegiance to Lord Stark. He was frankly disgusted with the idea of giving such an Oath to someone whom he had never met before. Especially because he knew what those oaths entailed in these medieval times. For all he knew, Lord Stark could be a tyrant like Roose Bolton.

Still, he'll give the oaths and play docile for the time being until he became strong enough to strike out on his own. The only consolation about this whole affair was the fact that Ned Stark was said to be an honorable man but that could just be a well built lie. He would meet the man fact to face and find out the truth on his own.

* Ned saw the Banners with a weirwood tree as a sigil and wondered if his eyes were playing games with him as he had never seen such a banner before. Then he found out whose banner it was and to say that he was shocked would have been an understatement. Turns out that the Bolton boy changed the banner of the Flayed men to that of a Weirwood tree. Oh well, he guessed that stranger things had happened.

* Ned would not tell it to anyone but he frankly a bit disturbed by the intelligence and strength in the eyes of little Domeric Bolton. And despite the fact that he was escorted by Lady Barbery Dustin, it was clear for everyone to see that the Bolton men answered to him and him only. To see grown men have loyalty for such a young boy was both fascinating and worrying. Though the fact that the boy changed the banner of the Flayed men to that of a Weirwood tree did calmed his heart a little.

* Domeric was not impressed by the dilapidated state of the Winterfell Castle. But then again, he was not impressed by the Dreadfort Castle either so that was not saying much. After giving the oath of fealty, he had to fight tooth and nail and use a good bit of mind magic on Lord Stark to make sure that Lady Barbery Dustin would become his regent. After using legilimency, he found out why Lord Stark was not too keen on making his aunt his regent.

Turns out that Ned Stark and Barbery Dustin had some bad blood between them and Ned didn't want one of his most powerful bannerman (him) being influenced by someone who disliked him. But his compulsion charms won in the end and he gained a new regent in the form of a mother he never had.

* After he took some clippings from the Weirwood tree in the Winterfell Castle, he and his party of a dozen men finally left the Castle and went back home. He wanted to apparate back but knew that he couldn't show his magic to anyone just yet so had to complete the week long journey on a pony. At least he was good with horses thanks to the memories he received from Domeric who was a total natural with them.

* As soon as they reached back home, he used the point me spell to find out the Ores near his home. He found two iron ores and one silver ore which could be turned into mines. He quickly told his regent about them who didn't ask about how he knew about such things thanks to mind magic and quickly called over some people to survey the lands. After two weeks, they finally made sure that there were actually ores in those areas (Seriously, he hated how everything took so much time to happen in this medieval world), she finally called for some miners from other lands and started mining operations while he continued with his Weirwood gardening project.

* Making agricultural advancements when your regent actually listens to you was actually rather easy. He had already taught them things from the modern era that would help the farmers at least double the amount of crops they grow if they followed his instructions properly. Thankfully, he was the lord so when he said something, people followed his orders. Still, progress was slow and would remain that way until he actually grew some High Yielding Variety Seeds. And once he does that, the agricultural production in the area would take a huge leap. Now he only needed to grow some HYV Seeds.

* His aunt, who had taken the role of his mother came to him and informed him that the mines were in operation and that they would start receiving the ores by the end of the month. He wondered if he should invent some railway lines for easier transport. He probably should as the mines would supply him the necessary iron and other metals for his various future projects for a long time.
