2 CHAPTER 2 -Keith-

It fell with a dull sound.

Jay was startled by the sudden occurence.He hurriedly got up and observed the thing which fell.

Looking at it quietly lying on the floor with a sharp metallic grey shine and a rectangular shape,his curiosity piquid.

Getting of the bed,picking it up,Jay obseved it closely.It looked like some sort of card.The front was empty,turning it around,blank.

Jay frowned.He clearly remembered that when he purchased the book from the store nothing was inside it.His friend's could also be counted out of the equation as he doesn't have many and the few he has couldn't pull this prank on him as it's childish.Besides,he never took the book out of the house after purchasing it.His parent's obviously wouldn't do it and couldn't as when not in the room or when sleeping he locks the room and there is no spare key.

After contemplating for a while and still not coming with any possible scenarios he puts the card in his desk drawer.Sliding the closed curtains open he looked outside the window and the weather was still gloomy.'Looks like it's going to rain soon' he thought.

Jay returned to the bed and continued to read the book albeit a little curious about the card.

Meanwhile,in a high class five star hotel:-'Grand Utopia',a party banquet was going on in one of the VIP halls.

A middle aged man and woman could be seen surrounded by a group of men and women. All the people in the group were wearing clothes of expensive and international brands.

One of the men surrounding the couple came forward and congratulated them,"congtats Mr. and Mrs. Yegar for your daughter's engagement to the young master of xiao group.Now you could expand your business and influence in other cities as well."

"Oh I am so jealous of you Mrs. Yeager for finding such a gem for your princess" said a fat lady in the group.

At this time Mr. Yegar proudly said "ofcourse I will find the best for my daughter."

Mrs. Yegar waved her hand while lightly smiling and said "no need to be jealous Mrs. Chen, you will also find someone perfect for your daughter."

All the people came and congratulated them one after another and the occasion looked joyous.

But contrasting to the joyful mood there was a girl sitting in the corner of the hall looking quite sad as she wasn't in a party but a funeral.

Even though she was sitting in the corner and looked down, people could not help but cast a few glances at her from time to time.

It was not only because she was the fiancee of Xiao family's young master but also because she was a top class beauty with a gentle temperament.

She looked like a fairy with willow eyebrows, blue eyes, raven black hair reaching her waist, thin cherry red lips, skin like it will give out water if squeezed and an hourglass figure.Her every action had a grace to it.

She was Keith Yegar, daughter of Mr. Alon and Mrs. Maria Yegar.

She was currently wearing a long dress with a yellow and white mix which added a warm feel to her.

At this time, a girl wearing leather jacket and denim with boots approched and sat beside her.

Seeing her Keith smiled and a tear drop could be seen at the corner of her eyes.But she quickly hid it.

It was a happy moment and she didn't want to ruin it for everyone by crying.

Lisa as her best friend could find even the slightest change in her best friend's mood.She understood clearly what Keith was going through.

After all, she also has an older sister who was married against her will and she didn't even had a choice.Afterall, in rich and influential families,marriage is often all about power ladder ,the more rich and powerful the family the better.It isn't about their children choices and wills.

She doesn't know what to say in this situation.She could only console by hugging ,"don't worry,everything will be alright."She could only console because she was powerless to do anything.Even in her sister's marriage, she watched and she was helpless to do anything.She silently clenched her fists.

Even if Lisa couldn't see it,she knew her friend was crying.Crying,quietly,her voice seemed to be lost in the arrangements of fate for her.Crying,not because she was used by her own parent's,crying,not because this was her fate but crying, because she didn't get a chance to change it.

Suddenly,a commotion started at the entrance.A man weraring black tuxedo and pants with a handsome face and charming smile entered the hall.

Seeing him enter,many people started to murmur,

"isn't that young master Xiao."

"yeah."

"I heard he was good looking but he is even more handsome than the rumours say."

"Some say Xiao group also has dealings with foreign companies."

"It could be true,seeing their power and influence."

Some girls even sent coqettish glaces at him.He ignored them and got straight to where Keith was sitting.

Watching the approaching Xiao Fan,Keith didn't uttered a word but her eyes had unwillingness.

When he came close enough, he asked with concern in his voice,"what happened Keith."

He could obviously notice her red and swollen eyes and became worried.He of course knew what happened to her.

Life in a big fanily sure is luxurious but it comes with its own costs.

He was also compelled by his family to this forced marriage and he was not feeling well about it too.

Well, on the surface at least.

In truth,he wasn't a good person and was quite lustful.He had destroyed the lives of many girls but those who protested went missing or their entire family ended in jail.The rest could only swallow the humiliation.

When Xiao Fan went to a business party two months ago he saw Keith and lusted after her body.

When he cane back he told his father about Keith and he said"if she's willing then good,if not then I have other ways.Don't worry son,she will be yours."
