Strongest Overpowered Cheat

Zain POV

I rubbed my cheek. It stung.

"I… I'm sorry about that!" Charlotte bowed. Her gaze lingered at the red mark on my cheek.

"...Don't worry about it."

Why did this happen to me? Was I too ugly?

I bet she would have blushed if it was Ezio who caught her wrist. But me?

She slapped me and then broke into tears?

"Ugliness is a sin."

"I'm sorry!"

She flinched when our eyes met. Her body trembled as she spoke, "How… how can I compensate you?"

Despite acting sad, I was celebrating inside.

Meeting Charlotte here was nothing short of amazing luck. She had a 4 star Talent [Goddess Of Luck].

Her Talent was currently sealed and turned into the 3-star Talent [Lady Luck].

Metahumans like her had to fulfill special requirements to unseal their potential. In return, they were far stronger than normal 4-star characters.

However, society thought of them as useless.

After all, it was impossible to find one's Talent grade.

Only Ezio was an exception. The [Eyes Of Solaris] skill he gains in the future would allow him to grade others Talent.

'Her talent might be sealed but it should increase the probability of encountering the Trap Door.' I thought to myself.

At her current level, Charlotte should have two important skills along with a few useless ones.

[Lucky Paw]: The probability of evading an opponent's next attack is 100% or 0%. The accuracy of your next attack is 100% or 0%.

[Mischievous Luck]: The chances of encountering treasures is greatly increased. However, remain vigilant, there is no guarantee that the treasure is not a calamity in disguise.

With her Mischievous Luck skill, it shouldn't take me long to find the Trapdoor.

"I don't need any compensation." I faked a defeated smile.

"No, please let me. As long as it isn't a monetary request I'll do anything." Charlotte clasped my hands.

She was easy to trick.

"Can you protect me while I'm scavenging lower levels?"

Charlotte was reluctant, but she eventually gave in.

An hour later, we encountered a Trapdoor.

"Finally." I held the door handle.

"Wait! We can't go there!" Charlotte stopped me.

Charlotte had frequently encountered Trapdoors thanks to her skill. She knew danger waited for us inside.

In the game, Charlotte had nearly died several times due to Trapdoors. Her reason for death was also a Trapdoor at a deeper level.

Despite having one of the strongest overpowered cheat-level Talents, Charlotte never survived for long in the game.

'But I can save her if I help her,' I thought.

"Hehe, this is the reason I was surveying the shallow levels. I can't back down now." I pointed at Trapdoor.

Her body trembled as if recalling the times she was trapped in those rooms.

"Looks like this is goodbye, senior. Thanks for being my bodyguard until now." As I spoke, I could see the shock on Charlotte's face. "Consider your compensation done."

I ignored her and opened the door.

Just as I was about to enter, Charlotte held my hand.

"...I'll come too."

'Of course you will. I can't let you go until I find the correct Trapdoor.' I hid my thoughts. "Are you sure?"

"...The Trapdoors at shallow levels shouldn't be a problem."

The door closed behind us.

The room was wide with a low ceiling. A mechanical voice boomed.

"The intruder has entered the Trap Door! Activating Threat Termination Protocol!"

Holes appeared on the ceiling. Dozens of spider-like machines fell through them.

These spiders were larger than the Grade 1 cleaning machines. Their red color was intimidating. Clearly, these machines were designed to kill.

5 Spiders… 10 Spiders… 15 Spiders… 20 Spiders… 30 Spiders!

The room was packed with the killer mechanical spiders.

I didn't wait for them to form their ranks.

Four silver streaks flashed through the air. In an instant, the spiders at the back had their eyes split.

"Please cover me!" I rushed into the enemy lines.

While the machines were trying to get into formations, I attacked the ones at the front.

The shortsword wasn't as sharp as the cards. I had to put effort into cutting the limbs of the machines.

Kriee! Kriee! Kriee!

Suddenly, three spiders attacked me from different sides.

I defended against the one from the front. However, I was helpless against the other two.

As I braced myself for pain, two shots rang and the machines fell with a dull thud.

"Thanks!" I waved at Charlotte who was holding a plasma gun.

Charlotte's Talent didn't give her attack skills. She had to depend on weapons to fight.

The machines' numbers weren't going down.

If I cut one down, two more would appear.

In the game, this was a bonus stage to farm experience points. But if you weren't up to the mark, this place could also become a graveyard.

Slash! Xiu! Xiu!

I attacked the spiders while running around the room. When too many spiders surrounded me, Charlotte helped me and I also used my cards to kill them.

'It would've been perfect if these cards had an auto-return function.'

The battle continued for an hour. I was covered in bloodied cuts and sweat by the end.

"Huff! Huff! Huff!"

I ignored the injuries. They were superficial wounds. Instead, I checked my experience points.

[1440 Experience Points]

It was incredibly efficient considering that I gained over 1000 Experience Points in an hour.

I tapped the floor a few times with my ear on the ground. It wasn't hollow.

"It was the wrong Trap Door."

I didn't leave the room immediately.

Taking out the Grade 3 monster core, I showed it to Charlotte, "I'll give this to you after we reach the surface."

"No, I can't take this. A Grade 3 core costs 30,000 Coins. It's too expensive for an escort at shallow levels."

She refused but I remained adamant.

Charlotte lived away from her home, worked part-time jobs to pay for her college tuition, and there was no one to support her.

I was the same in my past life.

Besides, I could tell. Charlotte had a psychological trauma of Trapdoors.

She entered with me because she didn't want me to go through the same things as she did. Even though we were strangers.

Eventually, Charlotte caved in and accepted my proposal.

We left the room through the door.

"Wow, how did you hack the door so quickly? I had to try every number until I could escape."

"I came prepared." I subtly side-stepped the topic.

I didn't remember the passwords of the Trap Doors on deeper levels. However, I remembered the ones for the shallow level.

After all, the shortcut to reach the planet core was from a Trap Door on the shallow levels. I had come to these Trap Doors too many times to count.

The only issue was coming across the Trapdoors. Their location changed with every new game.

We found the second Trap Door 2 hours later.

It took us only 45 minutes to clear it.

My speed increased after I got combat experience from the previous Trap Door.

I had inherited Zain's memories and emotions, including his years worth of combat experience.

Every time I fought, I could feel my movements getting natural.

If I had to explain, it was as if I was digesting Zain's combat experience and making it my own.

It wouldn't take long for me to reach Zain's level.

'Sometimes, I can't decide if I'm 'me' who inherited Zain's memories, or Zain who gained someone else's memories.'

The second Trap Door was wrong.

It took us an hour to find the third Trapdoor.

The room was the same as the ones before in terms of appearance.

Suddenly, a large hole opened in the ceiling and a massive machine fell through.

It had 12 legs, each thicker than my waist. Two machine guns stood at its shoulder. Its head almost touched the ceiling that closed after the machine fell through.

"Increasing the Danger Level of the Intruder! Initiating Grade 2 Sequence Protocols!"

Its eyes shone menacingly. A beat later, it fired hundreds of shots.

'A Grade 2 machine already!?'

The appearance of a Grade 2 machine inside the Trap Door had a 5% chance. Whereas finding the Trap Door I was after had a 25% probability.

Encountering the Grade 2 machine first seldom happened.

'Too lucky, dammit!'

I cursed and threw my training bracelets without hesitation.

My body grew light, giving me the illusion that I could fly.

Tut!Tut!Tut!Tut!Tut!

We ran in random directions to dodge the attacks.

My skill [Harlequin's Dodge] increased the Agility by 10 when dodging attacks. It increased my total agility to 22 which was Grade 3.

If not for it, I would have become a swiss cheese already.

Charlotte was having more difficulty than me. Her stats were all Grade 2.

"Senior, just hold on for a bit longer!"

The bullets rained hell, leaving me no room to use cards.

My complete focus was on escaping.

'Should I use my experience points and level up?' It didn't take me long to make a decision.

'No!'

I was about to reach Grade 2 Power Level without leveling up or increasing my skills level.

If I used experience points now, all of this would go down the drain.

Suddenly, the spider-like machine stopped firing. Its barrels were smoking red.

The eye, which was its weakness, was out in the open.

I knew it was a trap. Many players died after they rushed at open weakness, thinking that the machine guns were on cooldown.

However, Charlotte didn't know this.

She ran at the machine to attack.

I didn't stop her. If I called her out, the machine would attack in an instant.

Instead, I reached into my bag and took out the Forced Awakening Potion.

I had finally found the ratio to mix the five training potions last week.

[You have consumed Forced Awakening Potion(Grade 1).]

[All Grade 1 stats will be temporarily increased to peak Grade 1.]

[Power Level: 11.2 [Grade 2] (Temporary)]

My Power Level jumped from 8 to 11.2 and a feeling of indomitable strength surged through me.

The Grades were decided by Power Level. The gap of one Power Level was equal to the difference of ten stats.

Increase of 4.2 Power Level was no small amount.

"Detecting a sudden rise in the Power Level of Intruder! Increasing the Intruder's Threat Level!"

The noise of shifting gears came from the machine. It changed its target from Charlotte to me.

The machine guns, which had been dividing their attention between Charlotte and me, solely focused on me.

I nimbly dodged its attack.

Although my Power Level was lower than the machine, I had a higher Agility.

I was able to follow the muzzle of the guns aimed at me after my Dexterity and Perception stat increased beacuse of Awakening Potion.

It allowed me to make use of my higher Agility.

The Grade 2 machine's attacks couldn't hit me anymore.

I kitted the automaton while waiting for an opening. A single moment was all that I needed.

"I'll do it!" Charlotte shouted from the sides.

She seemed to have understood my situation.

The machine was alerted. It protected its leg and the machine guns.

A subtle glow covered Charlotte. She used the skill [Lucky Paw] and aimed her gun at the machine's weakness. Its eye.

The air around the muzzle distorted. A ball of light converged over it.

"Alert! Detecting abnormal heat signatures! Changing Targets!"

The machine guns turned towards Charlotte.

Charlotte and the machine attacked at the same time.

A ray of plasma hit the machine's shield. It melted its armor, but the attack wasn't enough to kill it.

The bullets reached Charlotte. However, they missed.

The AI with advanced weapons couldn't hit a stationary target. Such was the power of luck.

"Thanks!"

In an instant, I threw a card behind the machine's head. The card curved, drawing a U-path and destroyed its eye from behind.

This was the first time I threw such a curve. The machine was not able to predict it and its armor had been taken down by Charlotte.

[Grade 2 Six-legged Battle Machine (15) defeated.]

[Experience Points +200]

"Huff! Huff! Huff!"

The boost of the Forced Awakening potion ended before I could celebrate my victory. I knew the backlash was coming.

An intense nausea hit me, making me stumble.

"Hey, are you okay!?" Charlotte ran to me as my vision darkened.

I saw her weapon melting from being overheated. But all of her concern was directed at me.
