No longer alone

Part 1

A middle-aged woman dressed in casual clothes covered by a long piece of white cloth was sitting in an apartment in the dining area with a cup of tea in hand.

She was looking at the sky through the window when she suddenly heard the noises from the entrance door.

For a brief moment, a small glimmer of hope shined in her eyes, but who entered was simply her older daughter, a glasses-wearing woman in her early thirties dressed in a blue suit with her long black hair tied up and her son-in-law, a man of similar age with brown facial hair wearing a black jacket, both returning from another visit to the police station.

"Anything...?" the woman asked.

Her daughter simply shook her head, "Still no reports..."

"I see..."
