Main characters and informations about the story

Hii! This is my first original story to be published and I am very happy that I finally took the courage to post it. I've been working on the plot for a long time (more than three months) and I've been really enjoying the result, so I hope you enjoy it too!

Before I start, I'd like to give some warnings...

First, in some moments of the story it may happen that some trigger scenes appear, but I will always warn you before the chapter starts and I will tell you exactly what appears so that nobody is caught by surprise.

Second: There will be three main couples in the story:

Genevieve X Seph, Mao X Daryll and Shin X Mohan.

Third, as some elements of the story are a bit complex, it may get quite confusing at first for some, so I'll leave here a mini dictionary with some important terms and information of the story. So, you already enter with some knowledge of the story so you don't feel lost and, when you are in doubt, you don't need to hunt the information quoted by the chapters and can come back here whenever you want.

Fourth: English is not my first language, but I studied it for a while and I am doing my best to translate it. But still, it is possible that there are some grammatical errors throughout the story. Please let me know if you find any <3

NOTE: All the information is also in the story and it will appear in the course of it, so if you prefer to discover everything while reading, you can skip this part with no problem.

Mao

Title: Holy Divinity Mao

Age: Approximately 3000 years old (Appearance of 25)

Occupation: Guardian and subordinate of the skies

Element: Before ascending to the heavens was fire

Class: Warrior

Clan: Unknown

The strongest warrior in all heaven (with the exception of the Supreme God) and maintains control of all divine weapons used by humans. She was sent from heaven to help Genevieve on her journey through Galdur and to watch over her in the process.

Daryll

Age: Approximately 1500 years old (looks 25/26)

Occupation: Celestial warrior and subordinate of the Most Holy Mao Divinity

Element: Wind

Class: Warrior

Clan: In the past I was part of Shindi (Wind Clan)

He lived away from Galdur for years due to the problems caused by the last battle he took part in, alongside Mao. Since then, they have not seen each other for three hundred years and Daryll lives hidden in the world of humans together with Argus, mentor of the Deanlan clan.

Shin Liu

Age: 23 years old

Occupation: Deanlan Clan Sorcerer

Element: Water and air

Class: Healer and Sorcerer

Clan: Deanlan

Considered a prodigy among sorcerers, Shin was the youngest person to completely master two elements at the same time. Despite his delicate face and gentle way, many fear him for his strength and skills.

He was assigned by Deanlan to the task of bringing Genevieve safely to the clan, so that she can be properly trained there and learn to control his powers.

Mohan

Age: 24 years old

Occupation: Unknown

Element: Earth

Class: Animago / Sorcerer

Clan: KimTang (Earth Clan)

Welcomed by the Deanlan clan after the attack on the city of KimTang, little is known about his past or origins. He is extremely reclusive and antisocial, making few people interested or have the courage to approach him. The person closest to him is Shin, who took care of him when Mohan entered Deanlan.

Just like Shin, Mohan was also assigned to the task given by the clan.

IMPORTANT TERMS AND NAMES

Energy: Technical term for the magic that all humans in Galdur have inside their bodies. It can be compared to the magical cores in question of power, but the energy, unlike the core, is not concentrated in a specific part of the body and is spread over all members.

Vital Energy: Positive energy that is developed over time and causes no negative effect on the individual (unless used in excess). It requires a lot of practice and is not completely controlled until one reaches the age of 18. It has undergone changes over the years and today it is classified as the only form of good magic, no longer being exclusively a defensive practice. Some subgenres of the Vital Energy are: Elemental Magic (it uses the four elements of nature), Alchemy, Conjuration and Transmutation.

Resentful Energy: Negative energy that can be developed at any time and in very short time. It causes great mood changes in the individual and, because it is quite unstable, such energy does not have an exact age to become controllable, allowing accidents to be very common in any phase of the person's life. It has undergone changes over the years and today is classified as the worst form of malignant magic, and no longer exclusively a practice of attacking the enemy. Some of its subgenres are: Demonic Magic, Necromancy, Restoration, Invocation

NOTE: Throughout history these subgenres will be explained in more details.

Dragon's Heart: A magical core originated from the concentration of energy in an individual. It is known as the strongest form of complete magic for being able to create harmony between Resentful Energy and Vital Energy. Like the resentful energy, it is extremely difficult to control, and it is an extremely dangerous practice in which many of people have died, trying to form the dragon's heart core. Up to now, only two people are known to have achieved the feat.

Celestial weapons: Every weapon that has a spirit inhabiting it, making it much stronger in a matter of magic and power. Usually consisting of warrior spirits, who didn't accept his death and are still willing to fight. Warriors and sorcerers who possess these weapons, have an absolutely higher status than others who use normal weapons.

Kalil: Celestial weapon of the divinity of war, Mao. It is the most famous and known sword in the magical world for harboring the total of one hundred vengeful spirits and for being extremely powerful.

Demonic Pact: Deal made with some kind of demon, in which is necessary to extract the blood of the interested party and be consumed by the demon. Depending on the situation, it may be forced or not.

Your Leader: Term used to refer to the leader of a clan.

Crown Heir: The next in the lineage of leadership to the clan.

My Lord/My Lady: Term used to refer to a nobleman of the clan, who is not the leader.

Holy Divinity: Term to refer to a guardian divinity. To become a deity, one must be on the verge of death and be chosen, for some reason, by the gods to be saved. Those chosen are very rare and can take thousands of years for such an event to happen.

Supreme God: Name given to the greatest God in heaven.

Heaven: Home of the gods that guard and control Galdur. The name can also be used to refer to the gods in general (Example: This is a task given by the heavens).
