33 Let the Games Begin

The scenery of a standard fighter cockpit started to materialize. The fighter resided inside of an internal hanger. The fighter was picked by a crane and loaded onto a revolving platform that connected to a catapult. The fighter below David was launched. David then went upside down.

[Pilot Dragon233, are you ready for launch]

"Ready"

His fighter sped forward as his surroundings blurred. Eventually he got to the end of the tunnel where he was met by the void of space.

"Ok guys standard game mode, escort the bomber to their ship, while protecting our own," the designated Team Captain said in the coms.

"Alpha squad escort the Charlie squad bombers, and use Delta squad as bait. Bravo squad defend our ship,"

And so the standard planes flew out. Lobby settings made the planes the same type, and was a standard open space setting. David gunned his thrusters as he launched forwards upside down. Well what is up in space? The enemy planes launched forwards. However one of them had a weird hood. It covered the gun ports of the ship. David brushed it off, and flew into his first place evasive pattern as the opening shots were fired. David and his fellow pilots went through the enemy fighter line, then did a u turn in order to get behind the enemy.

[ Warning, Warning missile lock detected]

{I'll give you a hint, F,5,A patterns}

Missiles had sensor locks, however every missile had a different kind of pattern that would make the missile lose its lock. David's fighter did a barrel roll to the left, dived down, then did a complete hard stop before firing his main ballistic guns.

BRATATATAT BOOM

The missiles following David locked onto a friendly fighter instead blowing him up. David quickly fired his gun on the enemy fighter that was targeting the bombers. BRATATA

The fighter got caught out and had his engines shot out. The fighter started to spiral out of the abyss, until it went out of bounds and exploded.

"Nice shooting," the squad leader complimented. It was hard to shoot a flying target with only a small reticle. One had to predict the movement of the plane and place the crosshair accordingly. David had a near infinite combinations with Dragon helping making him difficult to hit, but regular humans would eventually run out of new ideas. When they did, it was a fiery death that awaited them. David regrouped with the rest of his squad. 17 planes left from the initial 30. The enemy was wiped out, and they proceeded to protect the bombers as they neared the enemy capital ship. David felt worried, because as usually there was at most 10 left not 17. There was no way the enemy was that bad.

All the sudden, David heard,"HELP, THEY CAME FROM BEHIND,"
