ReeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEee

The calm scene of space was interrupted by a portal as a corvette was spat out. The top of the ship was flaming, and the engines were fried.

"Damage report," David quickly asked his crew as they tumbled out of the warp.

"The engines are disabled, Levels A-D are all gone,"

Dave just sat there as he watched the ship slowly lurch towards the surface of the planet. Infested had no warp drives, but they did have spores to travel on ships, or just took the long journey of flying through the desolate space. Now Dave just sat there as he mulled over his situation.

"Is the cargo safe?" Dave asked.

"Sir the containment unit is failing from the lack of energy,"

Dave left the bridge and went towards a secure room in the middle of the ship. A box surrounded by electricity had a shiny crystal levitating in the middle.

Dave sighed as he looked at his mission log.

{Corporation Leader Zebeck: Transport the crystal towards Corp HQ}

Dave raised his head towards the ceiling as the ship drew closer towards the nearby planet's surface. Men were already strapping in as a crash landing was about to commence. Stabilizers were being deployed followed by balloons filled with whatever gas was left.

Dave just sighed again as he turned off the containment field and took the crystal.

An aura of danger started to radiate outwards, but David was unfazed as he placed the crystal into his pocket. He then marched back to the bridge, and recalled his three robots. The planet was in view. It was an earth like planet that would've made David a pretty penny if he sold its coordinates to the Corporation, but now?

As he sat alone at the bridge, the crew finished securing themselves into the emergency pods and blasted off leaving David alone.

"Computer what's the chance of survival,"

{For standard crew men .01 percent. For Dave a Celestial rank esper 99 percent}

Dave just sighed again. These people were just NPCs, but Dave still felt bad as he had been with these packets of data for years.

The corvette was beginning to burn. The atmosphere was tearing the ship apart while turning it molten red. Dave created a metal casing around himself as the corvette impacted the ocean surface. The A.I. attempted to slow down the ship as much as it could as it skimmed across the ocean top. The shores started to flood with water as the corvette slammed into the shore side cliffs causing a jarring impact onto Dave. Dave sat there motionless for a minute right before he finally mechanically got up, and walked out of the ship.

It was a bright day at the beach, but Dave couldn't enjoy the moment as he lamely contemplated his situation.

"Now I'm alone again," Dave mumbled as he went back inside the ship. He summoned a few repair bots as he repaired the communication array at the top of the ship. A day went by, and Dave was still working without being tired. He was rewarded with a weak signal for his hard work.

"This is the one who pops messaging a frog," Dave yelled out while trying to keep a straight face. He had argued that the secret codes should be less ridiculous, but his Corporation thought it was funny enough to implement.

{I'm receiving you loud and clear pops change to the secure channel dog}

The automated message was relayed towards me as I changed the frequency from general to one of my Corporation's many secure channels.

"This is Celestial Dave with the item"

"Affirmative, however a Templar fleet is headed towards your direction along with the infested. The corporation has decided to let you dry,"

Dave's face started to wrinkle, and he looked up towards the ceiling as the message finished.

"Survive as long as possible,"

Dave just stood there in shock. He had been completely abandoned. The worst part was that Dave understood what had happened.
