While Fu Yan slept soundly, Nir stood beside him silently, guarding his master against any kind of danger. 

From time to time, strange emotions would surface on his face but he quickly hid them as he looked towards Fu Yan with his large black eyes. The emotionless face continued to look towards his master with the strong intention to protect. 

From how Nir was behaving it was clear he could somehow feel what Fu Yan was going through at the moment but was unable to do anything so he just stared. 

Fu Yan slept soundly unaware of anything that was happening inside his brain and Nir while being immersed in the sweet dreams.

The night passed silently like any other but there was something obviously different with Fu Yan as his eyes looked sharp with a golden hue clearly visible in them.
