Tang Ru came back from Fei Hong's office and started to think about their talk.

"What did she mean by the boss being busy and not to be surprised by what I see in the program?."

He was really confused after talking with Fei Hong.

He really could not understand the last part about not being surprised by the program. Though he was not a top-class programmer, he still had a wide knowledge about programming and that's how he was able to become a section chief and previously was head of 2 different projects.

"Well there is no use pondering over it, I should just see the program then I will be able to understand what she was trying to say.

He plugged the Flash drive in his PC and opened it.

When he tried to open it, a program installation request came up. If someone else had given him a flash drive and a program popped up to install, he would have rejected it. But since it was given to him by Fei Hong and she was his boss, he chose to run the program.

The program took 5 min to install and Tang opened it.

A very sci-fi themed interface popped up. There were multiple icons on the screen. He looked at them and started to read what they were about.

Each icon had instructions beneath them. An icon was flashing continuously. He clicked on it and saw the instructions.

"Click on this icon to secure the PC before using any other program." the instruction said.

The computer was the company's property and he had no problem adding any software that the company gave him. Though the company was new, each employee had a top-rated computer with high-end specs.

Each computer had a large work screen with a 4k camera attached to it.

He clicked on the flashing icon and his whole screen went black. After a minute of staying black, a picture showed on the screen and an installation interface popped up.

"Securing the PC. Please enter your credentials for future access." A line popped up.

Tang Ru was a little surprised now. If the software did what it was claiming then it was a very high tech program. Only the top tech giants would have the resources to develop this technology.

He stopped hesitating and started to enter his details and set up a password.

After he finished setting it up, a new interface window opened and a line of instructions again appeared.

"Please look at the camera for facial recognition."

Tang Ru followed as it said. He did the same when he was asked for a retina scan and voice.

After he was done with all this, the computer started to reboot and it took 10 min for its reboot.

When the computer was booted up, a very futuristic interface greeted him. He saw the lock screen but it was totally different. There was no option to log in and add a password.

Just when he was wondering what to do, the screen automatically unlocked. He was surprised and thought.

"Does this automatically detect me and open the screen? Let's test it."

He stood up and just when his face was away from the screen, the lock screen showed up.

"Wow! It detects my face in real-time and only unlocks it when I am sitting in front of it, but what if I am working on something and need to get something or show someone else. Would it lock itself?"

Just when he was thinking, he noticed that the operating system looked different than what was installed on the computer before.

"Hmm. Is this a new operating system or is it just a modified version of the previous system?" He thought.

He started to check it and was amazed to find out that everything in this operating system was different and it had no similarities to the previous system and on top of it, it ran more smoothly and was easy to use.

He noticed that all the icons from the flash drive software were also present here.

"I have been utterly defeated. So this is what Miss Fei Hong meant by not to be surprised."

He started to check the other files that were saved on the computer and none of them were missing.

He then shifted his attention to the icons and he noticed that many of them were grey and only 2 had colors in them.

"Does that mean I can only access these programs now or others has not been developed yet."

He clicked on the one which had a picture of a robot with headphones and the next second a dialog box popped up.

"This is a virtual assistant. Getting credentials of the user.

Employee: Tang Ru

Post: Programing Department Chief.

Tang Ru again became speechless.

"Is this Artificial intelligence? Is this for real? Who is the boss of this company? How come he has these amazing technologies."

Just when he was thinking this, a line popped up and his rational thoughts stopped there.

"The system has detected from your facial expressions that you are too excited. Please calm yourself down. The system warns that any data or knowledge about this technology is strictly prohibited from leaking. Violators would be punished as per the contract signed."

When he read this line, he thought about the warning from Fei Hong and about the contract that he signed when he joined this company.

When he came for the job, he was presented with a contract, in that contract there was a clause that if any data is leaked from the company, the individual responsible for this had to pay 10 times the amount of its value.

He sobered and dispelled all other distracting thoughts from his mind and focused on the screen. He clicked on the search bar and typed.

"I would like to know how to use the different programs in this new operating system and what is my assignment that I have been given by Miss Fei Hong."
