2 THE JUDGMENT DAY

Yeah.. the last time, we were in a situation where the entire planet was shocked by the arrival of whom we call "THE ALIENS".

We were not just shocked by their arrival, rather, we were shocked by the reason that they came to our planet. Well, this would sound lame but the reason for their arrival was football.

Yes, The sport of Football.

That's the reason we were all stunned. We had many questions in mind like "how do they know about football?", "why was football their reason for arrival?" And "how did they speak in English?" Before we could discuss these questions amongst us as well as ask them, they started explaining stuff to us.

They told us that they have been monitoring our planet since early humans started evolving. They had every bit of information about humanity and our planet.

The most shocking thing was that they learned the sport from our planet and spread their knowledge of the sport throughout the galaxy and now, almost every living being in this universe plays this sport.

They wanted to enroll a team from earth for the inter-galaxy football tournament where all the teams of the galaxy compete to see who has the best team in this universe and who has enough courage and talent in them to win the inter- galaxy cup.

Well, at that time, we were all a little happy and surprised at that moment but later, the anticipation and pressure crept up.

We had a lot of problems to solve, well, only one major problem. Who are the people that would represent the earth's football team?

The answer to this question was given by the upcoming business magnet and a potential trillionaire, Erik Driskovsky, in the following days. He cleverly gave an idea of organizing an inter planet tournament and also said that he would hire potential and talented coaches from across the world who would help him pick a team of 17 talented players.

For me, personally, this was the only shot I had to showcase my talent. As I was always a substitute, because of the new rules, even I had to play for at least 10 minutes in a game.

After a few weeks, my coach called us all and showed us the tournament sheet of the inter planet football tournament and explained every detail about it. We had to play 14 matches for sure, even if we lost the previous matches.

As my fate rests, I was again not allowed to play for 3 matches. My coach told me that the rule says that a player belonging to a team, either a team player, or a substitute was allowed to play for a minimum of 10 minutes. So he told me that there were 11 matches left and he would give me an allowance to play for exactly 10 minutes in either of the upcoming games.

Unexpectedly, my fate took a reverse turn. My luck suddenly became impulsive. The lead stricker of our team was injured in the 4th game that we had.

He had a muscle tear that would potentially last for 2 months. We had no perfect replacement for his position and my coach's only option was me. So I had the perfect opportunity to play 10 games and showcase my talents to the inspecting coaches.

I immediately started practicing for the games and the only thing in my mind was to impress them so I could get a guaranteed position in the main team for the inter-galaxy tournament and I could play an important role in the Earth's football team and compete to win the inter galaxy cup.
