2 Gaia's Champion

Ahhh….

Kael woke up feeling an unbearable headache, only to find himself in a white void where the only thing that could be seen was a never-ending white expanse.

'Am I dead? Is this heaven?' He thought to himself as he remembered his fall from scaffolding in Göbekli Tepe.

"No! I can't die. I am supposed to enter a college in September and get in good shape and find a girlfriend to lose my virginity. I can't die a virgin"

Just as he was muttering on his own, a figure appeared before him in the white expanse.

This figure was that of a middle school girl whose facial features were unclear to Kael but when he looked at her he suddenly had a strong desire to kneel in front of her and serve her for the rest of his life.

"Who are you? Are you an angel? Is this heaven? Did you come here to lead me to heaven?" He asked a string of questions in a single breath.

"I am what you refer to as goddess Gaia, I was born from the collective consciousness of every sentient being on the entirety of the planet Earth and this is a prison separated from space and time so this is not what you call Heaven" he heard a gentle and soothing voice in his head.

'Where is this voice coming from, is it coming from the girl?' he panicked by the fact that the voice was in his head but he had a feeling that this voice belongs to the girl that was proclaiming herself as a goddess.

"You sacrificed yourself in my only existing temple that's why your soul is here" the same voice replied.

"Did you just read my thoughts and what's with this shit about sacrificing myself? I just fell from the scaffolding in Göbekli Tepe a very early Neolithic temple" Kael asked remembering the things he was muttering about being a virgin and all.

"That is the only non-desecrated temple left with an altar dedicated to me and I went through all your memories so that I can easily communicate with you"

Listening to this he started to think that he was really in front of a goddess considering all the facts and so he asked a question that he wanted to ask from the beginning "Did I really died?"

"No, but your body is in coma as I brought your soul here and it will stay like that until your soul returns to the body or your body is destroyed by external factors in which case you will not be able to return ever again" she answered.

"So what will you do with me? Will you devour my soul? Please don't eat my soul, I don't want to die as a virgin" he begged her for mercy after realizing his situation.

"Don't worry I don't eat mortal souls but I can let you go and gain power that you never imagined and a longer lifespan if you choose to help me get out of this prison or you can choose to stay here and accompany me till your soul dissipates"

"So, what should I do to return back to Earth?" he asked

"Became my champion and I will let you go and I will even give you a gift that you can never imagine, a path to immortality, a path to unrivaled power. I will do all this if you take an oath that you will free me from this prison when you posse enough power to do so"

"Okay, I will become your champion" he replied instantly without hesitation after all for him every option was better than death before losing his virginity.

Although her facial features were unclear to Kael, he was sure that he saw her smile when he chose to become her champion.

She moved a step forward and placed her right hand on his head and then he lost consciousness.

Ankara, Turkey

A Caucasian couple rushed into the Ankara govt. hospital's corridor with an anxious look on their faces.

"Where is Kael's ro~ Room number 104" the man asked a nurse who was walking in front of them.

"Sir it's the fourth room from the emergency unit on the left side of the corridor" she replied.

The couple rushed to the room where they saw three men standing near the bed and on the bed lay the comatose Kael Strider who was attached to various different machines with tubes and wires that were assisting him in various ways to ensure his survival.

"Kael! My son, mom is right next to you so please wake up. I will never reprimand you about your weight so please wake up" upon seeing her son's body wrapped in bandages Marry Strider started sobbing.

"Marry, please control yourself, he will wake up soon have some hope" Mr. Strider tried to calm his wife.

After some time after checking that his wife was calm, he signaled to the men in the room to follow him.

"So, what is doctor's opinion on him waking up?" he asked after ensuring that they were far enough that his wife would not be able to hear them.

"The doctor said there is only a 25-30% chance of him waking up from his coma in a couple of days because the body is in very bad condition due to fall. Two of his ribs were broken and one of them pierced his left lung. There is also a crack in his cranium bone in his head and both of his legs are broken but the chances will decrease with time" Prof. James Bush, who refused to leave Kael alone in these two days, replied.

"Thank you, Prof. James, for everything you did for him" he thanked Prof. James then he said to the young man who was the person who called him to inform him about his son's condition "thanks to George you are a good friend"

"Uncle Strider it is my duty as Kael's friend to help him in time of need," said the young man.

"And who might you be?" he pointed towards the third person, the middle-aged man.
