27 A Change In Scenery But Not For The Better

(Nathan POV)

Anxiousness, a feeling that I have felt for the past couple of days now. It was like something was going to happen today, something big, yet nothing seemed to point toward that outcome. Ra's, Shiva, and Talia have all been infected, and Sensei has continued teaching me his ways in Chi and martial arts.

But I realized that I am plateauing in a way that while blank makes it so my potential is limitless, it is only limitless if I'm able to keep learning and growing. My Chi training has gone well, and I have learned to consolidate the benefits as my body is now more reactive to other energies that surround the Universe. The force only aids in my understanding.

Chi represents life as well as balance and seems to be the energy created by its existence. The force, on the other hand, is more a creation of emotions and the bonds that keep life together. Metaphysical concepts still elude me, but I am willing to wait.

So a routine has been made which, while good for most, is not for me as I thrive on new experiences as the virus has not gained full control yet so as not to alert the light, I am stuck here at least another month until the virus grows strong enough to control them all.

The moral part of me feels disgusted at the fact that I am simply taking control of others' bodies for my own gain, but then I remind myself that all three individuals are mass murderers with no regard for human life other than their own goals.

But then the topic of hypocrisy comes in when dealing with that type of ethical dilemma: am I not seeking to further my own goals as well? The thought has remained in the back of my mind for a while now, and while I may not feel much guilt for it based on who I'm doing it to, that fact still remains as a staunch reminder.

Every day, I could feel the virus spreading through their bodies and their minds, but in order to not be too obvious, it has to be slow. Even if I am gone, the virus has orders to control them and make them subservient to me.

Time is my greatest ally, but it is also my greatest test. Patience is hard to find in a universe like this, where gods roam the world in the background, and in a year to maybe even half a year, a new god will arrive to test the world. I constantly ask myself if I am afraid, and I constantly find myself thinking that yes, I am. Fear is a great motivator, as it was the fear of the Jedi that allowed for the rule of two to exist.

Even now, I can feel the dark side whispering to me to take on an apprentice and spread its way across the Galaxy and Beyond, but I know better these powers were never meant to be wielded outside of their Universe for a reason.

As most out-of-context powers don't have a counter here, unlike in the Star Wars Universe, where there are beings that counter the force itself, there may not be other than other Force users.

But one example from the larger Omniverse, and in all honesty, the force is rather tame in comparison to powers out there. Honestly, the reason I'm hesitant to truly delve into magic is how chaotic it is, and I know that at any moment, the goddess of three faces might turn her way towards me even in her sealed state if she is sealed in this continuity, that is.

The fear of the unknown is a rampant factor for this anxiousness as while I can just challenge Ra's for control of the League, it does not mean his allies will allow that to happen as while they may never admit it, the shadows do provide them with pertinent information and airtight alibis.

So, I decided to take my mind off this by rolling at an omniversal lottery.

Opening my gacha, I went to the thirty-point lottery and saw that it had changed again to a giant wheel with millions of different options. So I reached my hand out and spun the wheel, and as it slowed down, the last ten, it landed on glowed and turned into cards that revealed themselves to me.

1. Cid Kagenou (Eminence In Shadow) (Go Beyond Cringe!)

2. Ordis (Warframe) (Mostly Stable AI Helper)

3. Gypsy Danger (Pacific Rim) (To Kill Giant Monsters You Need Giant Mechs It Just Works)

4. Rule Breaker (Fate/Stay Night) (The Ultimate Get Out Of Deal Free Card)

5. Vampire Killer (Castlevania) (I Bring Holiness Through The Endless Flame)

6. Power Boost Cards (X3)

7. Weakness Removal Cards (X3)

8. Hazmat Suit (Lethal Company) (Protects Wearer From Foreign Substances, Note: Not Neck Snaps)

9. Understanding The Starless Night By Ranni (Elden Ring) (Infused By The Energy Of The Stars)

All of these seem very useful, but why is the last card not revealing itself?

As I reached for it, the card went dark and began to suck me into it. As I tried to resist, the pull just became stronger, and when I went to cut off my arm, I found that I couldn't move, so as I went to try to pull my arms out I was sucked in. And then I looked at the card, and it read.

10. Alternate Reality Jump ( Forceful Transport Due to *&^&&^) (Have Fun!)

My rage built as I saw the description, but before I could say anything, I was pulled in and found myself going through a portal that showed endless windows into different realities and as I tried to stabilize myself, a force slammed into me and kept me going and due to the force of the impact I was knocked out but not before changing my face, and my eyes closed.

The last thing I saw was a man floating in the space with a blue trench coat and hat.

(Third person POV)

-Earth 49- ( Metropolis)

The city is in chaos. Superheroes from all around the world have appeared as you can see the Flash running across the city at his top speed, which nears the speed of light, and as he makes his rounds as if looking for something, a portal opens up above Metropolis and a single body starts to fall from it.

As it falls at high speeds, the Flash notices this and starts to run along a building and, using the momentum, jumps from skyscraper to skyscraper. As the body falls in between two buildings, Barry Allen catches him and slams his body through the glass, causing the two to shatter the glass.

The Flash, after dusting himself off and phasing his body to get rid of any glass shards, looks at the body, which is naked and seems to be a young kid or at least a teenager. As he puts his finger to his earpiece, he says, "Hey, Supes, I got a body dropping out of a portal, and the kid's knocked out. What is the play?"

"Take the kid to the top of the building; if he's naked, give him some clothes. But make sure to cuff him to the top of that building and get back to your search. We can't stop looking." Flash sighs and goes to the nearest charity, takes some fitting clothes, and runs back to the building. After grabbing the kid and bringing him to the top of the building, he clothes him, takes out his cuffs, which dampens his powers, and leaves him there.

What he did not notice was the teen's eyes opening and then widening, seeing where he was.

"Sorry, kid, but we're looking for someone else now. Stay." He then runs off as the teen remains unconscious and keeps looking across the city at high speeds, but then, after searching for what seems like hours, Wonder Woman comes over the comms and says, "I found the clown; he is in a submarine off the Metropolis Docks.."

Superman, mad with rage then, yells, "Wait for me, Diana! He may have set some traps."

Flash was already three quarts of the way there, and after arriving, he saw the submarine. After he heard what sounded like a sonic boom approaching, he saw Superman, eyes red with rage, dive into the bay and carry the submarine onto the docks and then slam his fists into the side and pull a hole into the sub.

As he went in, Barry could only hope that he came out with Lois, or he did not know what would come out.

(Nathan POV)

After opening my eyes, I see where I have landed and the fact that I have new clothes on, which I assume burned away after going through the portal. And after spreading my senses through the force, I saw a lot of signatures there.

The pure amount of rage and fear coming from that area... Wait, is that the docks? I'm in Metropolis. And I can sense an unconscious signature along with two insane ones.

"Oh no," I mouthed to myself, looked to the cuffs, and broke them using my blacklight and mechu deru ability. I then look to my inventory and, using my Gamer inventory equip function, put on the taskmaster suit, and ss it forms on me, I use force speed and blacklight virus to glide through the air and run across the rooftops, and when I was about to make it to the docks, I see Superman slam his way through the submarine's roof.

And since I knew Superman was infected by kryptonite-laced fear toxin and he was not lucid enough to hear me, I started running. Because I knew what was coming, and as I ran through the city to get away from the eventual explosion, I saw the three boys making their way here and yelling at them.

"Get out of here! The city's about to blow!" I disguised my voice and kept running, but that single shout got Superboy's attention, and he was already in front of me. As he tried to grab me, I phased through him and kept running, which made Beast Boy, Superboy, and Kid Flash start to chase me, and I kept going.

'Wait, we just want to talk!" I hear Kid Flash say as they continue to try and grab me, and their attempts just phase through me. Since none of them can use magic and I don't need to breathe, I can keep the phasing up forever, so I just keep leading them out of the city as far as I can go, and as I see Superman break through the clouds, and then into space, I dread what is coming.

"I will say nothing until we leave!" as I say this, Superboy yells out to me again.

"What do you mean the city's about to blow!?" As he says this, a single sound can be heard from behind us, and a yellow and orange glow appears on the horizon. I kept going and grabbed all three of them, and using the biomass I had amassed, I used the force to send out an explosion behind us. The increase in speed was enough to get us away from the blast.

*BOOOOOOOOM!*

From behind us, the three watches as Metropolis goes up in flames and radioactive fire.

And I simply drop all three of them and keep running as they are simply flabbergasted with Superboy shedding tears at the loss of the city. While I could only feel regret at not having the ability to fly at Superman's level of speed, now it's too late. This will change everything, and I am stuck here for three months.

I then kept going in one direction as the superhero community watched as the world stood still.

This was no longer a world of heroes defeating villains as a final injustice had been committed.
