Chapter 40 - Travelling.[+]

Tom was a little confused as he drove towards the high school in his new car, the principal said something about the directors and other such members, apparently, they had come to 'meet' him, and although the principal didn't say much, but Tom was able to clearly understand that someone had targeted him, someone from high up wanted him fired.

'Who could it be,' thought Tom in winder as he recounted his previous experiences, after some careful consideration, the only one he felt he had offended was Wilson Fisk, The other teachers, and some students, aside from all of these, he couldn't understand who else would want him to suffer.

Ever since he joined, several teachers had been voicing their dissatisfaction with him, saying how he was a bad example to follow for other students, even going as far as to point out how he looked like a thug with his tattoos and all, and that having them was unbecoming of a teacher, what was Tom supposed to do about that, rip his own skin off and wait for it to heal back or something, thus tom kept his distance from the other teachers and gained a bad reputation, even after he became a part time scientist at oscorp, nothing much had changed.

Aside from all of that was Wilson Fisk, perhaps him helping Laren page the other day had somehow reached the ears of Wilson Fisk or his best man, Wesley, Tom couldn't help but feel vengeful for that if Fisk truly was behind all of this, he wouldn't mind helping Karen and the others directly, he might have also been fired from being a researcher at Oscorp, or maybe not, nothing was certain for now.

"Fisk, you Bastard!!" Tom still cursed in anger as he pushed the breaks, his car parking in the midtown high, looking at the dumbfounded faces of several teachers who used to talk behind his back. Tom couldn't help but walk smugly as he left them behind and entered the huge school building, ready to face whoever had come to trouble him.

"I am sorry to inform you, but you are fired," the principal spoke in sadness and with a bit of frustration as he rubbed his bald head, Tom, who saw the letter of resignation that was pre-written by the principal understood what had happened.

It seemed according to the the principal that the directors had made some random excuses, then said that Tom was lazy for being late and such, even though today was his day off and ordered the principal to fire him, though the principal had agreed almost immediately, he didn't fire Tom officially and instead prepared a letter of resignation for him.

"I am so sorry young man, it seems you have touched the hornet nest this time, although the board was long angry with me for hiring you seeing your background of being a drunkard and whatnot, I truly believed you had changed and you showed the others that you did, but suddenly these guys came and ordered me to fire you, I lied to them and told them that you had already resigned so that your career record stays clean," the principal finished in one breath as he looked at Tom with a bit of pity.

For someone to move so many people just to destroy a single teacher, it seems that this was the end for Toms teaching here at Midtown high, Tom was angry but that didn't mean he didn't appreciate what the principal had done for him,

"Thanks sir, you even helped me get part time in Oscorp, if you need any help in the future, please let me know," Tom said his goodbyes as he made his way out of the school, though just as he was about to walk out, he heard the sounds of hundreds of footsteps, turning around tom saw a horde of students running toward him.

"Sigh, I didn't know I was this loved, I guess I really did teach them good," Tom smiled in nostalgia as he saw the horde advancing toward him, though he soon saw the error in his thoughts as even some teachers came running at him with fright-filled faces.

"HOLLY SHIT," Tom couldn't help but curse as he felt every one run past him, not caring that he was a teacher and bumping into him, stomping on hus shoes, even pushing him back, Tom tried his best not to fall over as everyone ran out the school.

"What the hell was that?" Tom asked, but there was no one left to answer.

*ROAAAAAR*

though soon enough, Tom got his answers as he heard a familiar roar.

"Where is Peter Parker?!" the giant Lizard yelled as he charged at Tom, Tom also raised his hands, surprised by the abrupt attack.
