Movement from the right catches my periphery and I look up in time to see Keith walking toward the balcony and passing in front of me.

Keith Perry is half American and half Puerto Rican. His sharp features and cold manner makes him look aloof. He always walks like he has business everywhere, his chin lifted as if he's judging everyone around him. 

  He doesn't see me yet, but as I stand and pocket my phone, that's when he does. 

Keith nods as he places a cigarette stick between his lips, lighting it even before he reaches the balcony. I join him outside and he glances at me; his brows are furrowed.

"You look tense. Am I witnessing you falling apart, Keith?" I taunt. I never liked this guy. I don't know what my sister sees in him. Usually, I'd avoid talking to him, but seeing as he's also been trying to avoid me all night—it got me thinking there's a reason why he's doing so.
