He claps his hand once more. "Come on phones off."
We all protest, saying what if there's an emergency and he counters it with a simple: "All our men are going to be with us, their phones are working, and the girls have a battalion guarding them. We're going to properly enjoy Gael's last night of being single." When none of us agree with him, he adds, "Come on. When was the last time you all had a night off? We all deserve a few hours of just pure fun."
I really don't want to turn my phone off. What if my wife looks for me tonight? Though I have a feeling she's enjoying herself and is probably not even thinking about me. I look at Gael and he scans everyone in the group. We're all waiting for what he has to say.
Sighing, he pulls out his phone, presses a button, and then shows us his screen that's turning off. "Just a few hours."
"Let me just text my wife," Daniel says as he quickly types. And I do the same.
