9 Chapter 9: Result

Just like that, years came by quickly.

–4 years later–

In these past years, Gaara continued his training and got a lot stronger. He also got taller and his appearance became more mature.

Some people in the academy changed their opinion about him over time. Contrary to the rumors circulating, he is a quiet guy who doesn't talk much but is humble and respectful when they are interacting with him. Although they're still wary of him, it's not to the point where they will avoid him.

The girl named Shinsuki also went back to her usual and talkative self after confirming Gaara's personality. One time, she told him her story and he learned that she's the granddaughter of the 3rd Kazekage which explains why the teachers can tolerate her loud mouth. Making her a member of the Kazekage clan as well.

As for the war preparation, they are at the last phase. They began to hasten the rest of the plan because other villages are beginning to notice something.

–Training field–

In a training field outside of Suna, there is a large array of genjutsu and concealment seals covering the radius of 1 kilometer. Except for the two people standing in the center, not a one soul can be seen even outside the boundary.

This is the place Rasa and Gaara will be fighting. They will go all out to measure the result of Gaara's hard work he'd done over the years. This fight will dictate whether they have a chance in the upcoming war they've been preparing for years. To see if Gaara has the strength to take down a whole nation by himself. To see if he's really someone who could bring changes to the shinobi world.

This may be too overwhelming for a 12 years old kid to accomplish, but Rasa believed that his son can do it. He had taught him everything he knew and Gaara didn't disappoint him.

"Now, Gaara. This will be your last test." - (Rasa)

"I sure am excited." - (Gaara) said nonchalantly.

"For this test, all you have to do is defeat me. The more overwhelming your victory the better. I know you've been hiding your true strength this whole time. This is the time to show it to me." - (Rasa)

"You're pretty confident that I'm not going to kill you, huh?" - (Gaara)

"I'm sure you're smarter than that. Even though no one knows our current location, the council knows that I'm with you at this time. If you ever kill me, they will know that it's you. Are you going to destroy all the trust and bond you've built all these years just like that?" - (Rasa)

'Hey, kid! Don't listen to that piece of shīt. This is the chance you've been waiting for. Crush him and tear him to pieces!' - (Shukaku)

'Don't be an idiot, you big loaf of sand. Even if I don't listen to him, I'm not about to turn the whole world into my enemy. Killing one of the kage will surely make my world norrower, unless I have a good reason for it.' - (Gaara)

'Coward as always, I see.' - (Shukaku) said disappointedly.

'Don't worry, just you wait. There will be an opportunity for me to kill him without being obvious.' - (Gaara) reassured.

"Now, my son! Show me your power!" - (Rasa) yelled like a maniac as he extended his hands out and prepared his gold sand, gesturing Gaara to attack him.

After hearing that, Gaara didn't even move when blood colored spikes appeared below Rasa. The spikes were so fast that it pierced through his flesh almost instantly. Some of his gold sand that was already in place, protecting him, was pierced like butter, impaling his whole body except for his head.

These spikes are made out of conundrum minerals, specifically ruby and sapphire, the second hardest mineral on this planet. Thanks to Shukaku who knew a large deposit near their village, Gaara was able to acquire it and made it his own sand. Shukaku said that it's very rare, which is why he doesn't use it much. He also doesn't like the color even though he loves blood because he wants to use and maintain the color of the sand he was born with.

"Blargh!!" - (Rasa) threw up blood.

Rasa couldn't even talk because of the pain. Fortunately for him, Gaara didn't have any intention of killing him so he avoided fatal blows but he made sure that he inflicted as much pain as possible.

Rasa, who was hanging in the air impaled by multiple spikes, was in great shock. His defense that even a tailed-beast bomb couldn't break was fierced through like butter. His sand that could even rival the speed of the 4th Raikage during the last war was overwhelmingly outclassed. All of these happened faster than anything he had seen in his life.

Gaara retracted his sand after a couple of minutes, causing Rasa to fall face first. He couldn't move his body but he forced himself to move his head to look at the back of his son who used <<sand body flicker>> and left. Moment later, he fell unconscious, alone in the desert.

After defeating his father very easily, Gaara left the training field. But before he went home, he ordered an assistant of Rasa to pick him up. He also told her the location and the password for the seal so that she won't get lost when finding Rasa. He's sure that she can heal his father's injuries with her medical ninjutsu, she's also the best medic-nin who taught it to him so he knows what she's capable of.

"What now, kid? With the power you showcased just now, I'm pretty sure the war is set in stone. But… I say fūck their plan! Make sure to release me when that happens. I'm itching to slaughter all those weaklings! BWAHAHAHAHA!" - (Shukaku)

"Nah, I will probably kill Rasa before that happens." - (Gaara)

–2 weeks later, Conference room–

"What did you say?" - (Rasa)

"Y-Yes, the daimyo sent a message. H-He wants us to stop all our activities involving the war." - (Member 1)

"Didn't we agree last week that as long as he gives us the permission, we won't need his help and any of his resources?" - (Rasa)

"T-That is true, Kazekage-same. As you know, the daimyo of all five countries had a meeting yesterday. They just released the outcome of that meeting. They had all agreed to preserve the peace as it is." - (Member 2)

"Since you announced the war to the world a week ago, everyone now knows about it. Frankly, the people don't like it and I think that's the main reason the daimyo requested the meeting in the first place." - (Member 5)

"That fool. I'm sure he knew from the start when I explained the plan to him that the people would dislike it if they learned, so why did he back down now for that reason? I thought he requested the meeting to make the official announcement… So he's just saying what I want to hear at that time, huh. Really a coward." - (Rasa)

"I think he simply doesn't believe that we could win the war and I don't blame him. Although he knew that we've been preparing for this in the last 4 years, no one knows about our trump card. Who is to say that other villages are not doing the same?" - (Member 7)

"Hn, continue the preparation… No matter what, we will continue the war." - (Rasa) said as he stood on his seat.

"B-But Kazekage-sama! Are you going to oppose the daimyo?" - (Member 3)

"I'm simply fulfilling my end of our agreement. Once the war starts, the words of the daimyos won't mean anything." - (Rasa)

When Rasa was about to leave the meeting room, the door suddenly opened abruptly.
