1 Prologue

September 29, 2018

"Okay guys, before you go. Here's your scores in the past midterm exams." Ms. Zaccharias then neatly handed out the testpapers to her students and announced their scores.

"Montecido, 97"

Oohs and ahhs filled the room as the student walks up and get his testpaper from his teacher. A grin is on his face as he goes back to his seat.

"Lavarias, 100"

Suddenly, a long silence was emitted as if there are no students present that day. Shocked by the fact that he isn't the superior anymore, Karl planned to confront Mikael and extract the truth from him.

A few hours later, the class was dismissed and they all packed up. Mikael put his testpaper in his bag when he felt a hand on his collar.

"You! How did you perfect the test? You stole the answer key, right?!" he tightened his grip and gave Mikael a sharp leer that can rip through his soul.

"Uhm... So...sorry Karl. I do...don't know anything! Wha...what do you mean?" Mikael stutters as he is about to choke. Lucky for him, a teacher saw them and mediated them to prevent any further harm. He flattens his crumpled clothes and walk outside the room as if nothing happened.

He took his usual route. Bought his favorite almond macha ice cream on the blue coloured ice cream truck, and checked out the game hub if there's new games for his PS4. When he is just two blocks away from the house, he heard an unusual sound.

*BANG!!*

After realizing that it was a gunshot and it came from the direction of his destination, he scurried back home. A few moments later he saw a guy in a bloodstained navy blue suit running as if he's a culprit in a murder. Not so long after, he saw his father lying down in a pool of blood.

"Father!"

Tears sprinting as fast as the speed of light down on his cheeks, he gave his father a warm final hug.

"Hon! What was that? HON!!!"

Her mother fell to her knees and started to cry herself. Afterwards, she called the ambulance and rushed his husband to the hospital.

Exhausted from what happened, Mikael sat on the couch. His eyes became heavy and he fell asleep.

'Don't be so shocked my little bro on what will I tell you... He's gone Joshua. The doctors tried everything but your father didn't survived.' he opened his eyes from what he heard from his mother's brother, Mike.

'That's not true Uncle Mike!' he exclaimed. 'I'm sorry kid... but it's the truth...'

"NOOOOO!!!"

"Hey kid are you okay? You had a bad dream?" his Uncle Mike rushed to him from the kitchen. "Yes uncle, I'm okay." he replied.

"UNCLE!! IS THIS TRUE?!" they turned their heads towards the door and saw Joshua holding their Uncle's phone. "How did you get that..." his uncle walked up to him and caressed his cheeks. "Answer me Uncle, is this true?" tears start to roll down from Joshua's eyes.

"Don't be so shocked on what will I tell you..." his Uncle states in a grieving tone. Tears also rolled down on Mikaels cheeks because of the news he is about to hear, but a thought suddenly halts his emotions. 'Wait... this is the scene in my dream. Did... did it really happen? I saw the future?'
