5 Chapter 4: Not A Coincidence

It's been 30 minutes since Andrea secretly fled the spot where Karl planned his revenge. And it's also been 30 minutes since she is thinking hard to try and figure out what to do to warn Mikael of the upcoming danger.

"What should I do? What should I do??!!" Her head was facing the floor and her feet was walking involuntarily while this question is circling in her head. She is walking involuntarily up to the point that she didn't even noticed in few more steps, she will barge in a wall. Fortunately for her, someone grabbed her arm and pulled her to evade the obstruction she will walk into.

She then only knew about the wall and when she lifted her head up to take a glimpse of who did that, she saw a pair of blue eyes. It's the same blue eyes who saved her from the banana peel.

"Andrea right? Be careful... if I didn't see you, you'll end up with a swollen forehead." Mikael uttered while dusting off the girl's uniform.

"Uhmm... where did you know my name? Is it also the nameplate?"

"Ah, that? My brother, Joshua, showed me our video at the school's FB page last night. That's where I knew your name, the one who posted it publicized our names. Did you see the post already?"

"No I haven't yet... could you show me now?"

"Oh. I'm sorry but I think I can't do it now... I need to review for our Chemistry quiz later. I'm really sorry...."

"No no, it's ok don't worry. Let's just meet later then. You free for lunch?" Andrea offered.

While having this little conversation, Andrea tries her best to block the right stairs, where Karl is, in hopes of forcing Mikael to take the stairs at the other side of the corridor.

"Yes I'm free. So see you later?" Mikael confirmed.

"(Please don't take this stairs, please don't take this stairs...) Okay! See you later!" Andrea's heart is beating fast, as if she is being interrogated for a crime. Her hands are trembling as Mikael started to lift his feet to walk. The shaking only stopped when he took the left stairs, to the girl's delight.

"Finally... I could see that you're safe now. The thought of seeing you injured... heck! I don't know but it makes me sad. Did I just became mad for a guy?" She said to herself and she started to turn around to walk back to the library and review for the quiz.

But even before she finished the turn, in her peripheral vision, she saw someone came upstairs, looking for someone. She turned her head back to where Mikael is and she saw what she really don't want to see.

"Shoot! It's one of Karl's friends! I saw him yesterday.... Wait for me there Mikael! I'm coming!"

Looked to the left, but there's nobody in there and therefore what is left for Karl's friend is to check the opposite direction. Where Mikael is!

Andrea ran as fast as she could to reach Mikael. As for the other side, Karl's friend started to twist his body to turn around. But he also saw nothing... nothing but a boy and the "weird girl" that Mikael saved who are kissing.

"Poor Mikael, if she had a crush on this girl, he just got dumped..." he even mumbled to himself. Little he did not know, the boy who is kissing Andrea is Mikael himself.

What happen was, before he completed his turn, Andrea already reached Mikael and held him in the shoulders and turned him around as she now faces him. After that, Andrea swiftly landed a kiss to Mikael's llips. His eyes widened because of the situation. As the girl saw that Karl's friend is staring at their way, she held Mikael's cheeks and pressed his lips more.

Few moments later, their perpetrator started to climb up the stairs and gave them the cue to break up from the kiss.

"What... what... what was that for?" Mikael said who can't even believe what just happened.

"Don't...Don't get me wrong! I just wanted to thank you! For all you've done for me... saving me from the wall earlier, and most of all... saving me from my death..."

"Wait a sec, how did you know that you almost died yesterday? I didn't said that to anyone except for my family..." He said while his eyes were widened more from what he heard.

"Shoot!!! I did it again!! This mouth... you will never be on my side right?" Andrea said to herself while slapping her mouth.

Mikael looked around first, if there's anyone around. When he was sure that there was nobody around, he held her hand, the one she  uses for slapping, using his right hand and bowed down and took a playful stare at the girl's eyes.

"Since you already know you've almost died yesterday, you must've known that I'm not a real germophobiac too right?" He said and the girl just nodded for a reply. "Could you let me know how?" He added.

As he finished the question, the school bell rang.

"I guess... let's just talk about this later at lunch?" Mikael then started to walk to his room.

"Wait! Take the left stairs not that. Something bad will happen to you if you pass that..." She now had the courage to say that there's danger up ahead for the boy.

Mikael gave a playful grin while saying  "You know, you're a bit weird." But eventually followed Andrea's words.

"Can I come along you?" The girl said.

"You need to catch up then, our distance is a bit big!" Mikael replied mockingly.

The two climbed up the stairs together and when they reached the top, where Mikael's classroom is so also is the danger, they saw Karl in a spooky costume waiting for him to pass by desperately. Because of that, Mikael faced Andrea and asked her one heavy question.

"This...is not...just a...mere coincidence... Am I right?"
