2 Chapter 1: The Strange Dream

All students are happily enjoying their lunches in the cafeteria, including Mikael and his brother Joshua.

"Hey Big Bro, it's already been five years since our dad's accident and you starting to have that special ability...have you dreamed who the killer was? It's already the 24th of July, 2024, we still don't have any leads..."

"Hey! How could you suddenly bring our dad's death huh?! We're eating, don't you respect the food and bring up things like that?!"

"Hmph! I was just curious and I got a handful from you? Wait a minute... Big Bro, is that Karl Montecido? The one who accused you of stealing some test questionnaires?"

"Really? Oh... that man? Yep it's him."

"That's all you want to say? 'Yep it's him'? Don't you resent him at all? He's the one who almost got you expelled from highschool!"

"Josh, for what reason? Will resentment  towards him will bring back time? Will it unveil the truth for everyone to cover? Will it concern him and say sorry for what he have done? I don't think so. A thing is for certain though, there's no use to cry over spilled milk so why will I bother crying if crying doesn't refill my glass back up with milk?"

"Why do you always give poetic answers when I ask something serious? Gosh, I feel I could speak with Buddah if you're acting like that..."

A few moments later a loud bang was heard through the cafeteria. A bang like someone fell on the ground seriously.

"Hey! Big Bro you heard that?"

"Yeah I heard it, what the hell was that?"

They suddenly saw a girl with her tray, plates and some cups and bowls on the floor and the girl beside Karl Montecido is now covered with food.

"WHAT THE HELL YOU JUST DO?!" Karl angrily said to the girl in the floor. "Are you trying to mess up with my girl huh? You have the guts to do so?!" He added.

"No sir! I...I was...tripped by someone...that's why...it happened..." Fear in her eyes is evident but still she slowly stood back up to say sorry to Karl's girl.

"Tripped! What nonsense are you talking about? Who tripped you?! Could you give me a name who tripped you?! I bet yo' don't have one, because no one really tripped you!! You're doing this for revenge, right?! Because I always tease you 'weirdo' from time to time, am I correct?! And you timed it with our monthsary to be more humiliating for me!!" Karl's girl slammed the food tray that the girl on the floor brought in the floor. To the shock of everyone in the cafeteria, Karl suddenly grabbed a steak knife and played with it like a dagger.

"No way Big Bro! Do you think what I'm thinking?" Joshua stood up looking concerned.

"Yep, I think I get what are you thinking right now...Fidget! I need to help her!" Mikael made a final bite to his food before removing his jacket.

"Hey! Are you out of your mind Big Bro?! If you do that, the whole school will have a hint that you are really not a germophobiac and you are hiding something from everyone just for a heroic deed to save a girl you even don't know!" Joshua points an accusing finger to the girl that is now leaning on the glass wall of the hall.

"Joshua Lavarias! Could you really think of that now? Put it like this, if our mom is in a situation like this, will I not save her? To help someone in need when you have the capacity to do it is the right thing to do! Use your brain sometimes, idiot!"

"Just do it then! But don't ever say I didn't warned you Big Bro!... Hold on, is that girl not stopping from taking steps backwards? At that rate she could fell down right at the quadrangle if she will not stop. The glass window cannot support her weight if she leaned on it too much!"

his finger now trembles because of what might happen.

"Finally you used your brain and figured out why I want to help!" Mikael acknowledged what his brother saw. He stood up and bolt in to the scene as fast as he can. When he finally reached his destination, he shouts for joy and positioned himself in the middle of everything.

"Hey bro! Karl! You must stop that already!" he tried to be the mediator in the ruckus to help prevent it from getting worse.

"Oh it's you my boy Mik-mik! What did you say? I must stop? Why? This girl should die! She messed up with the wrong girl du..."

*Krr..CRACK!!!*

The glass window already broke and the girl started to fall down. Mikael ran towards the girl and tried his best to save her but he was half a step late.

"No!!!!" He screamed as the girl's hand slipped out of his hand and thus, making her completely unsavable.

Karl didn't even had enough time to complete what he wanted to say as the girl who was in the floor earlier is now free-falling from the 5th floor of the school were a cemented quadrangle is waiting for her at the very bottom.

Everyone in the cafeteria looked at Karl like they are blaming him for what happend even though he was also in shock of what just happened. Even his friends and the girl covered in food was speechless of what happened and realized that their friend, Karl, just became a murderer.

"But I...I didn't...kill her... I just wanted...to scare her..." he justified his deed.

"Hey you!!!" Mikael screams at Karl.

"Hey you!!!" Mikael suddenly woke up with sweat dripping all over his body and his heartbeat is racing.

He let out a sigh of relief as he realized that all of it was only a dream.

"It's a dream...but why does it feel so real? I remember every single word I said and every single event that happend." He mumbled to himself as he was still puzzled by the dream. "It couldn't be a precognitive dream, I don't even know that girl, I didn't barely even see her in school...so there is no way I could touch her hand...so why the heck I got a dream like that?"

Shortly he heard his mother, Luz, knocking at the door of his room.

"Kael, are you awake? Go wake up now, you might get late for your first class." his mom said before peeking her head out.

"Yes mom, I'm awake. I'll go downstairs shortly." Mikael replied while stretching and fixing his hair. After 5 minutes he go downstairs just like his mother ordered.

"You awake Big Bro? How was your sleep?" His brother greeted him with a big smile in his face.

"Just like the other nights, but today I had a strange dream." Mikael replied.

"Dream? What dream?" His mom questioned him as she is serving a bowl of granola.

"Mom what is the date today?" Mikael couldn't keep his cool about the dream he just had.

"24th of July, 2024. Why? Is there any problem?"

"No way...will it come true again?!" he suddenly felt nervous about the dream he had earlier.
