Chapter 1

[Earth, Italy]

A lazy guy who usually barely even get up from his bed is going out for the first time in ages to buy something.

'aah the sun is so intense today, I think I'll die'

After 15 minutes he come back home, tired, nothing happened.

There is a small quake but he just ignore it, going straight to his room, and jumping on his bed to rest.

A minute later while he's trying to fall asleep there is another shaking, but this time stronger.

'hm? An earthquake? It's the second time, this might be worse than it seems, whatever I'm too tired now'

The quake stops and after another minute the house shake violently and the fornitures begin to fall and break.

'shit! I knew it-' he was gonna get up when the ceiling collapses on him and kills him.

'uh? If I remember correctly I died, if I'm conscious then I'm probably in hell or whatever afterlife,

I was unsure if there really was an afterlife but it seem it's true'

"kid!"

'Hm?'

He lift his head and see a grumpy old man wearing sailor clothes and a pipe

"you died!"

"I see"

"Huh?! What's with that reaction?! Aren't you surprised? Scared?"

"meh I'm too tired"

"aah today's youngsters! There aren't good coward kids anymore! It's good that HE destroyed the earth!"

His eyes flinch for a moment then he ask:"the earth was destroyed?" with his usual lazy eyes and deadpan expression

"Yes! And it's better like this! It was a bad place and HE was bored"

'I had already assumed this possibility when I died but for it to really happen is.....AMUSING!'

As he think this a small grin appear on his face

"oh? You aren't despairing? Or have you gone crazy?" says the old man with the pipe in his hand

"And why should I? All those strangers died why should I care? If I die then it's ok for everyone else to die"

"this...huh, everyone has their opinion"

"wait a minute!"

"what?"

"is the earth was destroyed then.....!"

"yes kid everyone has-"

"who cares about the others! In worrying about my phone! How will I live without internet! Videogames! And porn!"

"uuuuuhm kid...do you not want to ask what happened to your family? And to your friends?"

"who? Aah yes, ok tell me" says him with a disinterested and angry face"

"they died! All of them!"

"I see, so they're dead too huh ok well if world is no more than they died too you don't have to be a genius to imagine something so obvious"

"huh? Are you trying to insinuate something, kid?!"

"tch, what a boring old man" says in the boy displeased for the loss of the few important things in his life

"hm?! Who's the old man?!"

"you" says the boy with an annoyed expression

"Yooouuuu! I had to come here during one of my few free days to let you reincarnate because of an order, and I get treated like this?! Just go!" as he says this a light envelope him and he disappears

"hmpf!" he picks up his fishing rod "And now back to catching krakens!"

[1st day of the 1st month of the year 1370]

In the Gladius kingdom the birds sing and the population exult at the birth of the child of the king.

Years ago a witch have to the king a prophecy about the future heir and the destiny of the world.

It was predicted for him to become a ruler whom name would be engraved in the legends and would bring glory to the kingdom if born man but if a woman were to be born then it would mean the end of the kingdom's prosperity and catastrophes would envelope, not only the Gladius kingdom, but the whole world.

So the citizens were gathered in the plaza in front of the palace waiting for their ruler to bring them good news.

The door on the balcony opens and everyones faces light up in expectation;

The king appears in all his might

After a moment of hesitation he shows an expression filled with joy and a bit of something else and say:"A MALE WAS BORN! HE WILL BRING GLORY TO THE KINGDOM! AND HIS NAME SHALL BE REMEMBERED IN ALL THE WORLD!".

There is a moment of silence, and after another moment everyone scream in happiness for the news of the future king's birth and the benefits he'd bring with him, they were still unaware of what was gonna happen.

The king turn around going back to the palace and the knights close the door of the balcony.

He goes back to a room where a beautiful woman is waiting for him, it's the queen.

"dear..."

"honey...."

They embrace each other with a sad expression

"I've managed to convince the citizen but I dotn really know what to expect"

He turn his face to see two babies, one a boy wrapped in blue cloth and the other one a girl, in pink one

With a mortified expression he says: "it's for the sake of the kingdom, we have to get rid of her"

Hearing this the woman's eyes widen, she was gonna say something but she stopped and bited her lip

"I know it... I know it but.... But still..."

The king turn around and stares at his queen with a firm face

"we have to do it! If it's for the kingdom's sake then, I'm ready to do anything! Or have you already forgot about Alice?!"

With those words all the esitation of the queen fades away and as her mind is filled with bad memories her faces is that of someone on the brink of despair and madness

"don't remind me about her! I know it! We will....we will kill her!"

Then the king with a perplexed expression says: "but how do we do it? If a king or a queen were to soak his hands in blood they would meet divine punishment!"

Despite having an orribile childhood and being adults they were still naive and superstitious as a medieval person would be differently from their ancestor who didn't have any problem killing someone, even in public.

"hmmm, oh yes! We could trow her in that place!"

"by that place do you perhaps refer to THAT place?!" seh says with a worried face

"yes exactly"

"are you crazy?! You know that it's prohibited to go there you'l die!" she says with a desperate thot face

"who said I'm going myself?! I'll just send a soldier from some commoner family!"

"ah.....ok...."

"remember, it's all for the kingdom...."

And that's how the story of a scum in another world began.
