"M-my lady, i-its the young master, h-he pushed the third prince into the well!"

Ming Mei was shocked and taken aback, without wasting a second, she made her way towards the huge crowd of servants.

They all placed a long robe into the well to drag the two of them out.

Li Wei had passed out from the shock and had drank some water since he couldn't swim and as for Jin Ling, he used his strength to carry Li Wei while using the robe to climb out.

Despite that, as soon as they got pit, all the servants ran to the prince and abandoned the man who had saved him.

But to everyone's surprise, the person who they thought would be the least to give a shit about Jin Ling, ran into his arms like her life depended on it.

Opening his eyes, Li Wei looked around, he was completely wet and around him were a bunch of maids and servants.

He Didn't remember much but he knew that someone had pushed he and Jin Ling down the well.

Just then, the elders gathered around as they all seemed worried and concerned.

"Your highness, are you alright? What happened?" The old Madame asked shocked and confused.

Just then, Hui Li snorted, "Jin Ling, did you push the Third our prince down the well?"

She asked, her question both shocking and lingering as all gazes landing on the shivering Jin Ling.

But just then, they heard a loud scream, "Young Missy! Don't run!"

It was Ming Mei, running towards them like her life depended on it.

Before they could process what was going on, Dash!!

She landed in the arms of No one other than Jin Ling and only tears and sobs could be heard from her.

Ming Mei sprinted towards Jin Ling, her normally composed demeanor shattered by panic and concern.

Her eyes locked onto Jin Ling's, revealing a depth of emotion that surprised even those gathered. The air around them seemed to thicken as she collided with him, her graceful run turning into a desperate leap into his arms.

Jin Ling with a slight smile plastered on his lips just patted her head as he reassured her that he was alright but her tears didn't stop falling.

Upon seeing this scene before her Hui Li felt like ripping Jin Ling's face off.

Walking towards Ming Mei, Hui Li pulled her away from Jin Ling as she shouted, "How could you be worried about that wicked person who just pushed the third prince, you should be concerned about the prince instead. What's wrong with you?"

She shouted as her words only made Ming Mei angry, "What do you mean by that mother? You all saw it clearly, brother in-law helped the third prince out of the well. He saved his life but instead you accuse him instead of thanking him and praising him!"

"Who should then be called evil or wicked.. if not you then who else?" Ming Mei shouted angrily, pain visible on her voice.

Before she could say anymore she felt a cold hand grip her dress as she looked down only to see Jin Ling.

His eyes fixed on her, Trying to make her calm down and upon meeting his soft gaze, Ming Mei felt her anger subsiding.

Seeing the situation, the old Madame stepped in, "Mei Mei, Hui Li.. you both should calm down we should figure this matter put calmly not fighting like this,"

But Ming Mei was still focused on defending Jin Ling, "Grandmother, you all can focus on finding out who truly pushed the prince a d brother in-law into the well but I will not take it likely with anyone who dare to accuse brother in-law of things he didn't do,"

"You--u.. argh my head, this child," Hui Li lamented as she pretended to feel heavy, staggering slightly.

Facing the male servants and Dao Li, Ming Mei instructed, "What are you waiting for? Help brother in-law to his room and call for the physician,, Now!!"

She shouted as they immediately nodded and did as they were told.

"If anyone tries to stop me, then I'll jump into that well my self!"
