4 Sudden Earthquake

The journey wasn't that difficult, other than the fact that Arnulfo wasn't that powerful and has no ability to fasten his speed, everything turned okay - other than his low speed and weak stamina-. As he was walking higher and higher, it turned out that using lightning resistance skill wasn't free at all, because he needed to pay with qi exhaustion in every strike of the lighting.

However, it wasn't a big problem because although using lighting resistance needed qi, the lightning that was striking in him was helping him to replenish the lost qi or energy at the same time.

As you knew, Arnulfo can be referred to as a lightning cultivator, just like how a water cultivator can accumulate qi (or any advantage having) near the water or in the water itself (if meditating) was also the case in him. He can gain qi through lightning attacks. An easy explanation, the process was like a circle, he was losing qi and gaining qi at the same time when the lightning was attacking him.

Surprisingly, the lightning mountain wasn't bald just like he had expected, but there were many trees planted. Yet, of course, those trees weren't a typical tree that can be found anywhere, these trees were known for being one of the toughest trees that ever existed.

Because of its trait, the tree was named Lightning Tree. They have a feature of ashen color and the texture was dry, they were special types of trees that can be used to build a magic artifact that can help you to shield from lighting attacks and also a magic artifact that can give you the power to control lightning in a short period of time, it depends.

Unfortunate for the cultivators, these trees can only be found -Although Many- in a place where was there was a dense amount of lighting qi or where the lightning commonly striking, they can also be seen planted where cultivators performing their breakthrough (If they did the breakthrough in one place in their whole life). And because of the fact that cultivators were afraid of lightning and no one other than Arnulfo ever became a lighting cultivator, collecting these trees in a dangerous atmosphere was a difficult and almost next to impossible task. Maybe some powerful existence may have the ability to resist lighting (for a short period of time) but it would still bring them trouble if they try to collect some, that was why it was also priced so high on the market and dubbed as a rare product.

Continual of the story, Arnulfo doesn't seem to have any interest in collecting wood, he just casually looked at them then continued his hiking once again as if he saw nothing special at all.

Yet in truth, his heart was bleeding inside, 'The system is a bloody cruel system, it didn't even give me a space ring or even a little spatial space skill that can be used to store things. If I have storage space, maybe I could collect even a little amount of this wood and become rich in one go! '

Having a treasure in front of you but cannot get any was painful than having complete nothing.

He cannot help but took a deep breath and swore to himself that he will earn more power as soon as possible. It was also better if there was anyone who would perform a breakthrough earlier to finally perform his first task. In this way, after making the cultivator failed, maybe he could ask the system for a space ring as a reward.

'Here am I who thought that I got reborn luckier than those protagonists in novels I read, yet, it turned out I'm just a frog in a well! '

Another ten minutes elapsed...

Just as Arnulfo was finally convinced that everything was going smoothly, with the sound of *Boom*, the whole mountain shook that also resulted in him to fell in his butt and rolled in the ground towards the below mountain. The earthquake occurred without any sign and he wasn't ready at all, which resulted in him to outbalanced.

There wasn't any debris to hold so he fell straight. Only then he stopped when a fallen trunk of a tree blocked his way. Tho having hit the trunk of a fallen tree -with the force of being fallen- gave him an unworldly pain or we can say, the most physical pain that he ever experienced in his whole life. 

"What the heck with that sudden earthquake?! " Suppressing the pain of his body from the uncountable time of bouncing and hitting the ground when he was falling, Arnulfo complained loudly.

Yet to be sure that he wouldn't get fall again, he didn't stand up immediately, he just sat on the ground while his back was comfortably leaning in the said fallen tree trunk. This way, if there was a second shock, he wouldn't roll down once again but he could protect himself.

'Turned out this place wasn't as typical as I first thought. At the end of the day, it was all my fault for acting carelessly! '

In this world, where cultivators existed, of course, no matter where you look, it should be normal to have some unexpected events every time, yet in his naive action, he just showed that he was still acting like he was on the earth until now and not in a mysterious world a million miles away from it.

Hays~ (Deep Breathe)

After a while of rest, he took a deep breath and finally calmed himself down. Now that his mind was in a state of calm, he can now rethink what was just happened.

"Is it possible that the events happened because of lighting? "

Doubt appeared in Arnulfo's mind as he evaluated what he had felt and recollected the quake. This was a big doubt because if ever it was a lighting strike that caused such phenomena, then, why did it does not attack him directly instead? Think about it again,  the mountain and lighting have a connection, and the lightning wasn't a normal element, it was a higher plain element where it can think on its own. With the ability to cover a whole mountain, it can show that the lighting has a spirit. Why did it not attack me instead of just caused a quake? Don't tell me it just wanted me to humiliate myself from rolling down?

Or...

There was someone here other than me.

Having these thoughts, doubts, and questions needed an answer in mind, Arnulfo readied himself and stood up. To make things clear, it was better to look it himself.

Just a while ago, he fell because it happened when he was walking comfortably and the quake was an unexpected one, however, if it happened while he was ready, that would be a different story.
