Soul Ring is a special energy body that represents the cultivation of Soul Beasts. Soul Rings are the part of the remains released by Soul Beasts following their death, sacrifice, or contract with humans. Only the person who delivers the killing blow can absorb the Soul Ring, and is needed to be at a bottleneck (Rank 10, 20, 30, etc.).

Soul Rings are usually divided into categories based on their age.

White : 10 - 99 years

Yellow : 100 - 999 years

Purple : 1000 - 9999 years

Black : 10000 - 99999 years

Red : 100000 - 999999 years

(Every 100000 years a Golden Circle is added to the Red Soul Ring)

Golden : 1000000 years

Soul Bones are the bones which are left following the death of a Soul Beast. The chances of a Soul Beast dropping Soul Bones are extremely rare. But the possibility of dropping a Soul Bone does increase if the Soul Beast feels a huge amount of resentment before getting killed, dies willingly.

Soul Bones can be sold and bought, but at extremely high prices.

Soul Bones are considered extremely important, as much as Soul Rings, as they provide new abilities to the wielder. A person can use 6 Spirit Bones on 6 parts of the body, which cannot be overlapped. According to their importance they are:

Torso Bone

Skull Bone

Left-arm Bone

Right-arm Bone

Left-leg Bone

Right-leg Bone

External Soul Bones

With a so-called external soul bone allows a person to have seventh soul bone or more. But these are even rarer than normal soul bones.

A Soul Bone cannot be removed from a person unless they are killed or have the attached body part amputated.

Martial Soul awakening is a unique ceremony to Douluo Continent, where 6 year old children awaken their martial souls. Every Person is born with a martial soul, regardless of its type or nature. To walk the path of a soul master, one needs to have soul power when awakening along with a martial soul.

Those with soul power, awaken between Rank 1 - Rank 10. Rank 1 being the lowest and Rank 10 ( Congenital/Innate ) being the highest. There are also defective martial souls who come with half soul power and also God given martial souls with Rank 20 innate soul power.
