31 In Zerah Village #2

The room was under the warm embrace of the sun and in it, Ryu, Aiena, and Hina were sleeping. the door opened, Lina, Snow, and Lana entered being cautious not to make noise that would wake Ryu up but the moment they try to wake Hina their expectations were betrayed

"Wake up Hina, wake up," Lina said in a soft and low voice but Hina who just opened her eyes shouted loudly while jumping at Lina

"Viscountess mam I figure out something you all forget!!!! when you were out" and her shout wake both Ryu and Aiena up, Ryu wanted to shout

'What happened!! did we get attacked' and then seeing it was just Hina he gave an understanding look

"Calm down, Hina what is it about," Lana said to Hina as she pulled back shocked Hina from her grip, and then with a prideful look Hina said while folding her arms

"You all did not include me in the discussion earlier, I was a bit sad when I come to notice you all forget to decide on the last name" she gave a prideful smile, Lina and Lana were about to say something but before they could Hina started speaking

"After very careful thinking and deductions, I come up with perfect last name which is" she raises her hands high and give Aiena who just woke up a nod remembering what they discussed before Aiena raise her hands in the same way, they discussed this last name reveal together but before they could speak, Snow said

"No need for Last name" with a yawn

And the excitement on both Aiena and Hina faces broke, Lina said while patting Hina shoulder

"I am sorry Hina we did not include you earlier in the discussion, but we don't need a surname we decided to act as adventurer orphan so we will go surname-less it is easier"

Hina was having a sad look cause she and Aiena work hard for coming up with this surname even Ryu was asked which name is better, Ryu thought

'ahh, she worked hard for it, well she should've just told them they forget surname….. would be less disappointing'

Then Lina consoled Hina for a while and suddenly Lana said with a hurried look

"Lina-sis, we need to go to Village chief if we don't go right now, we will have to wait for 2 days"

And hearing this Lina told Hina and Aiena to get ready as earlier Village chief told them to bring everyone no matter the age to him.

Times go back a bit when Lina, Snow, and Lana entered Village chief house it was a bit bigger than other houses but have a feel of humbleness to it, they were greeted by a young man who is the adopted son of Village chief. He took them to the village chief

"Welcome to our Zerah village, I will do a criminal test just sit across me," said an old humble looking man, Village chief

"Thank you for having us," Lina said as she took the seat Snow and Lana followed her then the old man brown eyes shined red for a bit, usually visual type skills have a special color they change eyes to when activated then seeing them for a bit he said laughing

"Are you all ladies going to settle yourself, are there other people?"

"We have a young girl, one more lady, and A baby too" Lana answered and then the Village chief said

"Please bring them all I need to check all even if they are baby," the Village chief said with a serious look and then further told them to do so by end of today because he will be busy tomorrow and the day after it.

Back to the present, the Village chief has asked to bring everyone for the check, and also there is no need to defy the head of the place they will be living in so they rush to the inn to get them but get caught up in Hina's hype and nearly forget about it until Lana remembered.

"Village chief seems like to be a good person," Lina said to particularly no one

"Seems like its Lina sis earlier I heard in Church that he gave from his own wealth for construction and maintenance of the church's orphanage"

They discussed for a bit and when Hina and Aiena were ready they all left together for Village chief house, in way Aiena was impressed by seeing homes being constructed and Ryu was more impressed by seeing many people in different kinds of armors carrying weapons

'Are they adventurers, I remember Snow mentioning she is adventurer now… if this was my old life place these all people would end up in jail for swords or would get weird stare by aunties'

He wondered as they keep going, in the way a Priestess stopped them

"Where are you going Ms. Lana?" she asked Lana

"Priestess sister, we were just going to visit Village chief to get confirmation, and hopefully if everything goes well. I will be in your care from tomorrow"

"I hope for it, are these people also your relatives," she asked while looking towards everyone and then Lina introduced everyone one by one, but looking at Hina the priest stopped as if her neck gears had lost their oil

"Is she a Nobel, her look is full of elegance" Priestess said in a shocked tone, and Then Hina replied before Lana could speak further

"No no, there are no Nobels here, I am just her sister" in a hurry if Priestess was not gullible, she would have become suspicious about the strange insistence of Hina for not having any Nobel here at which even Snow smacked her back, but what shocked Priestess more was how Hina atmosphere change so much as soon as she opens her mouth

'Is she the same elegant lady, what happened!!!' she wondered, Ryu knew what shocked Priestess was shocked about because he had experienced the same thing when Hina picked him up for the first time, back then when Lana just put him down and Hina was about to pick him up he thought

'What an amazing maid the grace is she super maid' but his expectations were betrayed when she began spinning fast shouting 'young master cuteee!!!"

Remembering that time, Ryu gave the shocked Priestess a look of companionship as Lana asked her

"Excuse us, we have to go to Village chief house and are in a bit of a hurry, will see you later"

And they leave the shocked Priestess as they wave their hands at her once.

After walking for a while they finally reached the Village Chief house, the Village chief was walking around the entrance as they reached there

"Ahh you all came right on time, I was just wondering should I wait for you all a bit more or leave for the meeting," the Village chief said with a kind expression

"Sorry for taking this much time," Lina said

"Anyway let's go inside so we can finish the checking," he said while pointing inside and then started walking inside followed by Lina and all. Once inside he made them sit in front of him, he also brings French fries-like snacks and put them on the table, looking towards Aiena he said in a soft voice

"Have some with you little lady" Aiena was holding back a bit, but once Lina pats her shoulder, she began eating a few. then looking towards Aiena Village chief said

"I will be starting now then" then he looked towards Aiena and his eyes turn red for a bit,

"Next is baby's turn, what is his name?" the Village chief asked

"His name is Ryu" Lina answered while patting Ryu and the Village chief smiled

"Can I hold him for a bit?" he asked

Lina was giving Ryu to him jerk her hand back once due to last night happenings but she cools herself and give him, the Village chief kindly gaze at Ryu her brown eyes turned red as he checked him,

'He seems like a kind person' Ryu thought

"Interesting," the Village chief said in a lower voice while looking towards Ryu then returned him to Lina. After thinking a bit the Village Chief said with a concerned expression

"Everyone is checked and fine which kind of house you are looking for, if you ladies may hear my advice, I got something that will be helpful"

"Sure, if chief got an advice we will hear for sure" Lina answered

"Would you like to take the next house to mine for yours, there are various reasons behind it my house is the safest place in the village and being called a village of adventures on the flip side mean there will be unruly people like criminals and thieves, I only check the people who want to settle. I do not mean you are not sufficient in protecting yourself, but you have a baby and also that little lady and it seems like you have had some troubles reaching here, so having peace of heart would be good" The Old Village Chief said with a concerned look

"That would be nice for sure but I have a question can I ask," Lina said with a bit confused look

"Feel free to ask anything," the Village chief said

"The house next to yours seems like a big benefit, I was wondering why no one took it?" Lina said and with a laugh Village chief said

"I bought the houses surrounding my house to sell them myself, to have nice neighbors at this old age. That being the case house have a lesser cost than other houses because am selling them for my comfort, it will cost only 300 silver coins" before Lina could say anything Lana said

"We will have it!!" and the Village chief laugh as he shouted for his son to bring the House contract after that Signing the contract go smoothly.
