Chapter 4.

Two days passed since Valentine reached level 16. During this Valentine focused on reaching level 20 as fast as possible to unlock 'Spiritual Pressure'. Due to this Valentine hunted down many large carnivorous beasts worth 10000 EXP each.

"This guy never dies!!!" Valentine exclaimed while running away from a giant gorilla.

Valentine pointed his revolver at the gorilla and shot few rounds. The bullets of the Stand, Emperor are invisible. Hence, no one should be able to see unless it's a Stand user. This was on the description that the system provided. Yet, the gorilla was able to block the bullet even though it wasn't a Stand user.

"How is this gorilla able to block the bullets?" Valentine asked.

[Though bullets are invisible, they still exist. When they fired, they create air pressure around them. The gorilla is able to sense that air pressure.]

"Is that so?" Valentine learned another valuable lesson. Then he proceeded to fire another few bullets that are all pointed at the gorilla's eyes. Since the gorilla can sense the incoming bullets it will most likely protect its eyes with hands. Thus, if Valentine fired enough bullets, his attack will most likely injure it.

As Valentine predicted, the gorilla sensed the bullets, blocking the bullets with its left arm.

Valentine proceeded to fire even more bullets, slowly but surely injuring the gorilla while running.

The gorilla felt the pain but it didn't stop it from chasing Valentine. The gorilla even increased its speed, closing the distance between Valentine and it, in a very short duration of time.

The gorilla swung its right arm, hitting Valentine sideways, making him flew until he hit a tree with his stomach. But surprisingly Valentine stood up immediately like he wasn't injured from the gorilla's attack.

The gorilla was confused at first before it tries to deliver another powerful blow. Then it realized its right arm was completely frozen, not even moving an inch.

Suddenly, the body of the gorilla started to freeze. The gorilla tried to resist it which was completely useless. Soon, the ice fully enveloped the gorilla, killing it.

It was the ability of Valentine's new Stand: White Album.

White Album is a rare type of Stand among others. It appears as a suit, covering nearly all of the user's body. Its head bears two short cones, positioned somewhat like cat ears. It has a spiral on its forehead, which along with its cheeks pushes a clear visor into a Y-shaped fork, showing only the user's eyes, nose, and mouth. Its feet stand on long-blades, in the style of ice skates. The suit acts as a protection from any harm. Its ability mostly consists of cryokinesis.

"Another 5 huh?" Valentine exclaimed after seeing his EXP. Killing 5 giant beasts worth 10000EXP each was easy after gaining White Album.

[Ding. A new quest has arrived.]

[Quest: Kill the king of the mountain.

Reward: New Zanpakuto.]

"Zanpakuto? What is Zanpakuto?" Valentine asked the system after removing White Album.

[Zanpakuto is the general name of the sword that holds spirit in it]

"Sword? Does that mean my reward is a sword?" Valentine asked while absorbing the spiritual energy of the gorilla.

[Yes]

"What is so special about the sword?" Valentine wondered. To him, a gun was superior compared to a sword, since the gun is faster than the sword. Also, a gun wins in the range department too.

[Zanpakuto is not a normal sword. It is a medium to use the ability of the spirit residing inside of the sword. The spirit's ability will vary from each other. For example, some Zanpakuto can control and create fire while others can hypothesize people completely.]

"How is it different from Stands?"

[While Stands fight for you, Zanpakuto will not fight for you. You must use Zanpakuto to fight.]

"Is that so? Very well. I'm interested in Zanpakuto. Also, it's not like I wanted my Stands to fight and do nothing myself."

"Now where can I find the king of the forest?" Valentine wondered for a bit before deciding to sleep and hunt it down the next day.

After completing the daily quest and contributing the stat points, Valentine decided to hunt down 5 large beasts worth 10000EXP to level up, reaching level 20 as well as unlocking 'Spiritual Pressure'.

Though the new quest was to kill the King of the Forest, Valentine decided to postpone it for a while. Since Valentine only knew minuscular about the forest and nothing about the King of the Forest. All Valentine knew was the beast must be the strongest in the forest which was pretty much obvious. Thus out of safety, Valentine decided to level up and unlock 'Soul Pressure'.

The first beast Valentine encountered was a large lion-like beast. The beast was identical to the first lion Valentine killed.

Just like the first lion, Valentine killed it by only using Emperor.

The second and third were giant crocodiles. As the name suggests it was just an oversized crocodile, hence they have strong protection from bullets due to their scale. Thus, Valentine used White Album to freeze them, instantly killing them.

The fourth one was giant buffalo. Like others, it was also just another oversized of their counterparts.

The last one was a giant gorilla. Valentine killed it like how he killed the giant gorilla from the previous day.

[Upon unlocking 'Spiritual Pressure', the host unlocked 'Cero', 'Kido', and 'Spiritual Weapon Materialization'.]

"What is Spiritual Pressure?" Valentine asked after absorbing the gorilla's spiritual energy.

[Spiritual pressure is how much spiritual energy a user can exert. It also can strengthen your defense, physical prowess, and senses. The Spiritual pressure will be determined from the host's intelligence stat.]

"What are Cero, Kido, and that weapon materialization thing?"

[Cero is a powerful blast of concentrated spiritual energy. Cero's destructive power and speed will be determined from the host's Spiritual Pressure stat.

Kido is the general name of spells produced from the user's spiritual energy. Kido falls into two categories: Hado for direct attacks and Bakudo for battle support.

Spiritual Weapon Materialization is a skill that allows user to create from spiritual energy. It is only able to create simple weapons such as bow, sword, and spike. It cannot create complex weapons such as guns and cannons.]

"So basically I can use magic?" Valentine asked.

[Basically, yes]

"How do I use them?"

[Cero: The host has to focus on a certain spot of your body and flow your spiritual energy there. After, that host needs to imagine a blast is rushing from your body. For beginners, it is highly recommended to begin with your mouth ot fingertips.

Spiritual Weapon Materialization: The host needs to imagine a weapon in your hands or around you. Weapons durability, destructive power will be determined from how much spiritual energy you fused with it.

Kido: Kido is different from the other two and by far the hardest one to master as there is many Kido. Kido is numbered from 1 to 99, weak to strong. As usual, the host needs to concentrate your spiritual energy to create them. For beginners, it's recommended to practice from 1-10.]

"Since the spells are already classified, that means they exist right?"

[Of course]

"Then can I ask for your help to learn Kido?"

[Generating...]

[It's highly recommended to learn Cero first because the first few Hado is weak in comparison to Cero, for beginners. And for the spiritual weapon materialization, it's not recommended since it wastes lots of spiritual energy thus its also not recommended for host]

"It's settled then. Let's learn Cero first before fighting the king of the forest." Valentine's eyes were sparkling as his mind was full of scenarios where he is using powerful spells.
