Chapter three:

Mira woke up from her sleep and looked at the clock. She kept having that dream quite frequently since she started living with her uncle. She ran away when she was ten to her uncle's who refused to live in the Sohma's estate. She knew that she could trust him because he didn't like Akito in the least, similar to Mira.

The reason why she ran away was because of Akito's rules and ways of helping them. She would beat them for the smallest of reasons. However, Yuki was the one affected the most. He was the child who was praised the most. Looking back at the old folk tale, the rat, Yuki's respected animal, came first to the banquet god was holding so he was everyone's favorite. Akito wanted to take control of Yuki and make him into a good model for everyone. She would remember how he was locked away in a dark room being traumatized by Akito.

How did he stand for all that? Mira kept wondering. It was really a mystery.
