1 Fire and Ice

A fiery red she-wolf was energetically trotting over a snowy mountain ridge, a huge black male wolf with neon green markings up his legs and ears heavily unmotivated following her staring at the snowy rock in front of him. Suddenly her white ears perked up. "Did you hear that Nero? I think I heard a sound from over there." Nero puffed out some cold air and looked at her.

"Blaze, I think you're just hearing things. Now let's go back before..." He sees a flash of white. "There! I see something!" she yaps excitedly. They both see something white flash by between the pine trees. "See!? I was correct! Now, let's go chase off the intruder!" She bounds off after the white blur. "I smell she-wolf," Nero said under his frozen breath and sprints after her.

They burst through the undergrowth onto a small clearing. Skittering they come to a halt. "Where is he?" A loud roar answered her question. Blaze pulled her tail between her legs. "That's not a wolf. That sounded like a bear!" "White bears?" Nero asked. "You gotta be kidding." And they saw it. A massive brown bear lunging at a blood tattered she-wolf.

The unfamiliar wolf rolled away and jumped at the bear's flank, biting down hard. The bear roared in fury and tried to smash the wolf against a tree. Just before the impact, the snowy white stranger jumps on it's back scratched its eyes. Throwing its enemy off, the bear rears up again roaring. A deadly stare down started now.

The blood-smeared female growled menacingly, the bear staring right back. The bear moved, but the female was faster. Like lighting she dashed by, ripping out the bear's throat. Choking on its own blood the big furry predator crumbles down.

Dead.

Blaze's mouth hung open. The wolf turned around slowly to face them, her icy blue eyes seemed to pierce right through them. It was hard to see underneath all the blood, but she was all white with aquamarine paws, sky blue eyes and faint turquoise stars on her left flank. Her heavy breathing and blood dripping mouth gave her a slightly insane look.

She grins and drops onto the snow-covered, now all red, ground.

Blaze just kept standing while Nero slowly spaced forward. He poked her. No reaction. Blaze walked over to the blood-red wolf.

"Woah... That was... incredible..." "Never the less, she's an intruder and must be sent away." Nero eyed her warily. "No! She must stay! Imagine having such a warrior in our pack!"

Blaze's eyes shun in admiration. Nero looked down onto the unconscious wolf. "We'd better call the warriors. They should decide." Nero gave the she-wolf a last suspicious glanced and then howled.

This is just calling for trouble.

Blaze focused on the she-wolf. She had never seen such a powerful wolf before. She almost matched their Alpha male, West. She was massive! Powerful muscles bulged from underneath her white fur. Between her paws, extremely deadly-looking claws stuck out. Yikes! How did she get here anyway? Where was her pack? Or is she a loner?

Loud swooshes of wings announced the Warriors' arrival. Argento, a silver male with leaf green eyes stepped up to Blaze. He nodded at the white female. "What is this? Why is she still here?" Blaze bowed to the high ranking lead warrior and said humbly: "We found her straying on our territory and..." He looked down at her "And...?" Blaze flattened her ears and pulled in her tail. "I thought she could join the pack. She would be a valuable member."

"What?? You called us all the way over here because you, a low ranking scout, feels that this half-dead wolf should be pampered to health by us??" Key, a caramel-colored warrior burst out. "That's enough, Key. Alpha will decide this one's fate. Bring her along, I can see her potential."

Blaze looked up at Argento in anticipation, but he ignored her. She winced.

Argento turned away. "Blue, Finn, you will carry her halfway. Isla and Key will take over halfway back. Scouts", he looked down at Nero and Blaze, "finish your job and then come back to camp." With that, the winged party took off with a she-wolf hanging between them.

Nero bowed to the departing wolves. "You can stop that now." Blaze got up and shook herself. "Yes, yes. just trying to make a good impression." Blaze scoffed. Her voice lost all excitement and was replaced by a touch of irritation. Nero stood up and turned to go.

"You coming?" Blaze said nothing and just followed him. "I don't think she'll make it you know. That bear practically tore her one leg off. I'm surprised she could still stand at all." No answer came back as they walked back to camp in silence.

Blaze glared into the cold snowy forest ahead. And that day, she made herself a vow.

One day, I will soar!

(This is only a test. Might add on if people wish for it)
