1 Frozen Breath & Ice

All those who heeded the call for an adventure in the frozen wastelands, found themselves teleported to a location outside a remote village in Greenland. We were to put a stop to the bandits who had raided the village and stolen their supplies. Our party had a Wizard (Elaithren Eberwant), a Rogue (Navarra Stayakina), two Barbarians (Izel Thoron, Kruelex) and a Fighter (Nebuti).

The place was ideally called Wastelands, for there was not much life seen in this forsaken place. As the party entered the village, we found not much activity outside. I think people were huddled inside to fight the chilling cold. We came across an angry Dwarf who was standing outside what looked like a Village Elder's house.

Navarra Stayakina was quick to get to the good side of the dwarf and started enquiring about the details of the mission. The dwarf warned us of "Cold" and the "Ice Dragon", as we intended to climb the mountain, where the Toad riding Bandits were hiding. He also pointed to the armory from where we could acquire gear for traveling uphill.

Once we entered the armory we encountered a Dwarf and an Elf fighting about something. They were quick to address the customers and said, "You can buy the gear for 2 gold or rent it for 1 silver a day, but on the damage of rented property they have to pay the full price"

Everyone except Elaithren Eberwant, the self-proclaimed "Illusion" Wizard bought the gear. Elaithren Eberwant was questioning himself if he could afford the gear or not. After a brief moment, he decided to rent the gear. From that moment on he put too much care into taking care of his gear!

Then we all headed up the path which led us to the mountain. As we were climbing, our first hurdle was a blockade of huge trees. Elaithren Eberwant used his familiar, a Fox to scout the area.

Once we knew there was no danger, we climbed over the trees. Our journey was going almost too smoothly when we came to face to face with a Huge Yeti. It saw us and let out a loud roar. This in turn woke up the Ice Mephits from the trees.

All of a sudden we were cornered by the Yeti and the Ice Mephits. Kruelex faced the Yeti immediately dealing with some damage before it stunned him and rendered him paralyzed. Soon he lost consciousness and the Yeti targeted Nebuti who was already dealing with one of the Ice Mephits.

Meanwhile, in the rear, Navarra Stayakina, Izel Thoron, and Elaithren Eberwant fought and killed one of the Mephits. Not before taking some damage from its deadly attacks.

Quickly the other Mephit was killed off. Meanwhile, the entire party fought the Yeti. In a dramatic style, the Yeti was finally killed off. This was followed by the whole party coming together to heal Kruelex. We quickly camped in a safe location as most of the party was in bad shape.

As members of the party started to climb, we heard a loud rumble of the dragon, this led to some members losing their footing on the icy floor.

We found an opening that led us further into a network of caves. Our path was obstructed by a lake which had a narrow wooden beam.

As each one passed it nothing happened. This changes quickly when Kruelex passes and he finds himself in the clutches of a Toad like a monster. Nebuti helped him defeat it.

Further exploration of the cave led us for more Toads to attack us. The party quickly dispatched them and led further into the caves.

All of a sudden a swarm of Bats attacked Kruelex and Nebuti. The other members worked together to kill them. In what looked like a sleeping area, the search led to finding some health potions.

The party, taking into account any traps, stepped into the caves carefully.

They arrived at a lake and found a Giant Toad on it. Everyone went on the offensive and killed the giant toad. It was almost a one-sided fight that led to the death of the Giant Toad.

Then the party members took turns to navigate the frozen lake.

The party was surprised by the Bandits — A Dwarf and two Elven creatures. The first attacks at Kruelex almost led to them, moving close to his death.

Other members banded together to defeat the bandits. Fortunately, the party was able to find the supplies stolen by the bandits. But the victory came at a heavy cost. We lost Kruelex as he lost a lot of his blood from the wounds and passed away.

Now that we have obtained the supplies, we hurried to the Village and the Villagers were happy to see us bring their supplies. The Villagers gave us the promised reward.

Taking one last look at this desolate place, the party was teleported back to Antarctica.
