2 Chapter Two

*Froy*

I was walking along the shore early on a Saturday morning. The weather was nice and the salty air was refreshing. Its been a while since I visited the beach and I missed and longed for it. I felt a sense of nostalgia as I looked on to the waves, which were quite strong today.

The cliffs behind me reminded me of the summer days my friends and I would come here and jump off of them into the water. I cringed at the memory of the water going up our noses.

As I looked up at the sky I could see a fragile looking girl looking out into the endless waves, she had a small smile on her face and seemed to be focused on the repetition of the waves. As I looked onto her I felt mesmerized, her beauty was undeniable.

I caught myself staring when she started to walk back I looked away for a split second and saw her running back and jumping into the waves. At first, I was surprised, I thought surely the girl realizes how strong the waves are and that even an average leveled swimmer would have trouble swimming in the water.

After a few seconds, I felt an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach. without thinking twice I jumped into the water struggling to reach the girl. Through my blurry vision, I could see her thrashing, struggling to float up to the top. Her mouth was open and surly salt water has already consumed her lungs. I was praying to god that I would get to her in time.

The girl was not quitting and was fighting against the waves. I was about ten feet away from her and realized if I didn't swim faster the girl would be long gone. I swam with all my might to catch up to her.

I could see her getting weaker the water bubbles from her mouth and nose were becoming fewer. The girl's movements began to relax and she was losing consciousness. By the time I reached her she was passed out and not fighting anymore.

I dragged her to the shore, she was still breathing but not enough. I started doing chest CPR and could see the coast guard running towards me, I yelled at him to call 911. He frantically called for backup and used his cell to call for help. The girls breathing was not improving and I had no choice but to do month to mouth. I felt her breathing becoming stronger.

She opened her eyes, staring at me. I bombarded her with questions but she didn't answer any of them, by the time I heard the ambulance and police sirens the girl passed out again.
