32 Issue #1

(This is my fucking story and I'm gonna do and undo whatever I want with it. And the 2 things I'm gonna undo with his chapter is: #1 of the worst things Marvel has ever done with only 6 pages and #2 the second worst thing Marvel may have done)

Jack was flying between the skyscrapers of New York before he took and break on a gargoyle as Batman would.

'How the fuck do you join the Avengers? There are no ads, no online application, and I sure as Limbo don't know any heroes I can ask to put me on the team? Do I just need to keep catching random people in New York to get a spot on the team?'

It had been a week since Jack had returned from Limbo. 3 days after that, Emma had finished his new identity and given him a penthouse in New York to stay. So for the previous 4 days, Jack had been building up the reputation of 'Jack Frost' but all he had managed to do was stop 37 thefts, 23 burglaries, 8 rapes, 17 assaults, 10 murders, and 3 hit-n-runs. (Marvel New York is not safe)

Even after doing all that, there was not even a single gossip column about him. Jack knew he needed a big case to solve or help an Avenger out but that did not happen every day of the week. To see that would be a miracle.

'Guess I better continue going on patrol.'

Jack was about to fly away when he saw something in the corner of his eye. A little girl was stumbling around in rags. The girl walked to a box in an alley and got inside of it. Jack watched her for a few moments before flying down and landing next to her box.

The little girl gasped before backing further into her box.

"Don't worry. I'm not a bad guy. My name is Jack Frost. What about you?"

The girl looked at him vigilantly and did not answer. Jack was not surprised by this. Instead, he gave her a friendly smile while looking at the box she was in.

'So I guess she is a fan of Spider-Man.'

The box was covered in newspaper clippings and posters that all had images of Spider-Man. Even the paper she was sleeping under was one that the Daily Bugle had created that had a huge picture of Spider-Man on two pages.

Jack was dazed and heartbroken when he saw this. The little girl coughed a few times and brought Jack out of it. He could not help but give her a look of pity.

'I can't just leave her out here.'

Jack had learned to use create normal snow and ice with his powers but they were weaker that is dark ice. Jack held out his hand to the girl before summoning pure white snow and making a spider symbol.

"Pretty cool, right?"

The girl smiled so brightly that Jack was blinded. His heart melted at the sight of it and he knew he had to save her. The girl coughed a few more times but her attention was on the spider symbol.

"Kid, you seem a bit sick. How about I cut you a deal? You let me take you and your box to the hospital, and I will try and help you meet Spider-Man. I'm a hero so I'm sure I have a better chance of running into him than you. What do you say?"

The girl looked nervous but eager. It was clear that her love for Spider-Man was outweighing her cautiousness. She nodded her head. Jack smiled when she accepted the deal.

"I told you my name. What's yours?"

"I'm Leah!"

"Leah, huh?" Jack smiled at the girl "That's a wonderful name. Let's get you to the hospital."

Jack summoned white snow to carry the box and all the newspaper clippings while he carried Leah in his arms. The pair flew several blocks until they reached New York Hospital's emergency room.

Jack carried Leah in his arms as he walked through the room with a small whirlwind of snow following behind him. He rushed up to the nearest doctor to explain.

"This girl's name is Leah. I found her living outside and decided to bring her here. She is coughing and her skin is a bit yellow."

"Oh my gosh! It's good that you brought her in. She most likely has hepatitis but we will have to run some tests. If she was living outside with this, she most likely would have died. You saved this girl's life."

Several nurses came over and took Leah from Jack's arm before putting her on a stretcher and carrying her away. Jack also made sure that they had her box. He knew the girl would not want to be without it during her time in the hospital. Jack then walked over to the counter and pulled out the debit card Emma got for him.

"Keep this card on file for that girl. Anything she needs or wants, just charge it to this. I want her to have the best care she can get."

The receptionist smiled and nodded at Jack before she reassured him that they would do everything they could for the girl.

Reassured, Jack flew out of the hospital. He wanted to increase his reputation even more now. Not just for the Avengers but also to make the wish of a little girl come true. But before Jack could make it more than a hundred feet from the hospital, something caught his eye.

He saw a nurse carrying a baby into a car and begin to drive off. Seeing this, Jack's eyes turned cold. He used his telepathy to reach into the mind of the woman. Once he confirmed what he thought, he flew into action.

As the car stopped at a light, Jack used his intangibility to enter the car from the side. He then grabbed the child and used his power to get back out. Once he was sure that the baby was safe, Jack summoned two large spikes of ice under the car and put it 10 feet in the air.

The 'nurse' was scared and fell out of the car that was mid-air. Once she saw the child was in Jack's hands, she made a split-second decision.

"Agh! This man stole a baby!"

So if the ice spikes didn't get the attention of everyone on the street, that shout certainly did.
