1 Everyday Life

Time: 4:00pm City: New York

Brrriiiiiing!

The sound of a school bell sounds throughout the empty school hallways as kids quickly shuffle out of their classrooms. 2 in particular were a bit slower than others considering the event they all were preparing for in the evening.

"Hey Jordan are you watching the meteor shower tonight? It will be the largest one in history!" Said a small kid with white hair.

"Of course I will watch it Ryan! I'll be watching with my little sister on top of the hill close to our home. A small laugh could be heard between them as a kid with brown eyes and black hair and a toothy smile said. They were both wearing similar uniforms since it was the requirement of their school.

Jordan and Ryan are best friends and have been friends ever since they first met each other at two years old. Their fathers and mothers are all scientists studying astrology so while their parents weren't working they often spent time together seemingly like one giant family. They are both eight years old this year and often talk to each other when they play some games online at home. Both are as close as true brothers so not much can separate them other than their two different homes.

Ryan sighed as he walked beside Jordan towards the front entrance of the school . "Jordan why don't you come watch it with my family? We have more than enough room in our home to have a party and watch the meteors." He looks into Jordan's eyes and punched his arm. "Or are you too scared to see my dad without your dad being there too?"

Jordan laughed and hooked his arm around Ryan's neck after they left the school building. "My family wants to watch the meteors on the hill, my dad said that going to your house wasn't going to give us the best view."

Ryan eventually pushed away from Jordan with a smile and snorted. "Fine but you better not come crying to me on Monday saying you didn't see the meteors clearly!" Ryan waved and ran onto one of the many busses taking kids home from the school.

Jordan released a tired sigh mixing a small chuckle along with it, "I guess I'll go home and see if mom and dad can come home and see the meteors with us." With a bit of extra energy in his step he ran onto his own bus seemingly hoping to get home faster.

Time: 5:17pm

Some time later the bus stopped in front of a rather fancy looking home. A large three story house sat within a gated area, two large lawns to the sides with a long asphalt pathway leading from the main gate to the front door of the home. A few dozen guards walking around the perimeter with 2 at the main gate watching the bus with smiles. Jordan stepped off the bus and waited for the bus to pull away before the 2 guards walked toward escorting him into the already opened gate. "How was school today Jordan?" One tall man with orange hair and black suit asked as he helped hold Jordan's school bag.

"Today was a fun day Mr.Fisher, I learned a lot and we got brownies because it was Ms. Leon's birthday!" Jordan said with a loud voice that attracted the attention of many patrolling guards who smiled at the child who was extremely animated. Fisher laughed as they walked down the asphalt pathway passing a few very expensive parked vehicles and opened the front door of the home leading the child inside as the other guard stayed outside. "That sounds great, did you save any for your sister?"

The smile on Jordan's face froze as he quickly took his bag from Fisher and opened the pockets at lightning speed, searching frantically through them. Soft steps could be barely heard on the wooden floor getting closer to Jordan and Fisher as Jordan pulled out a small plastic bag with a few brown cubes from his school bag. "Yes I have them!" Said Jordan as he tossed his back back to Fisher and took his shoes off trying to make it to his up stairs room before it was too late while stashing the plastic bag in his pocket.

"Young master please wait a moment!" A old but strong voice sounded within the hall way Jordan had ran out of trying to reach the stairs to the second floor. Jordan paused and slowly turned around with a shocked look as he saw three figures. Fisher, an old man looking as if he has had a very long life and a little girl with bright eyes looking at Jordan with curiosity as she held onto the old man's hand.

"Uncle Thompson? What can I do for you?" Jordan sighed silently as Uncle Thompson released the hand of the little letting her slowly walk over to Jordan with an adorable pout. "Big brother! You have any food today? I heard you say it to Uncle Fisher!" The girl was Jordan's little sister Mina, only at the age of 6 but able to speak a little better than most her age. She put her hands on Jordan's arm and stared into his eyes still pouting with now puffed cheeks seemingly looking to make Jordan give in to her cuteness.

Jordan being a little experienced with his little sister was able to resist her antics for a few seconds but with a sigh of resignation he pulled out the plastic bag which was quickly snatched by small delicate hands. "Brownies! Wow big brother, you got me brownies this time! Thanks a lot!" Mina now starry eyed walked back to both Thompson and Fisher who were both talking with each other while watching the seemingly common show between these siblings. "You two should get ready for tonight, the meteors should pass over our area later so we need to leave a little early to make it to the hilltop" said Uncle Thompson who had taken Jordan's bag from Fisher, allowing him to return to his post at the main gate.

Jordan looked at them both as they walked into a side room and slowly walked up the stairs with heavy steps releasing a loud groan of annoyance. Though he hid the wide smile on his face as he thought of all the time his sister has gotten his things by putting on that act of hers.
